Didn't fit

My first try of a strapless bra that actually comes close my size. I was very curious about this. I don't really need a strapless bra but I was curious what it can do. (I gave up on wearing anything strapless ever in my life and I'm not unhappy about it. I like my short sleeves.) The bra is made of padded cups with vertical seams. There are no horizontal seams, it is sewn like I imagine a half cup would be sewn. Compared to a typical half-cup bra that would be quite low cut this bra is very tall. I think that is needed for support. The support comes from wires and compression of the cups. I think it actually does quite well with support. (Look at my side pic without the straps, it holds up my boobs just fine on it's own!) I find the band to be true to size and it feels firm and not very stretchy, which is very needed in a bra like this. I actually recommend this bra if you are looking for a decent strapless bra. It is not bad at all.

Why did it not work for me? Obviously the cups are too small. I get lots of cleavage aka overspill aka quadboob. I mean it looks not too bad if I want to wear the bra for cleavage but it felt uncomfortable. I also felt constricted because cups pushed my boobs flat to my chest. I think it is needed that the bra is tall and shallow for compression and support but it did not feel comfortable. It reminded me how I felt in the 32J - Panache Sport » Sports Bra (5021) another padded bra that was too small for me.

This bra is not owned any more

  • I found Curvy Kate padded bras to be uncomfortable in general, so I can imagine how this one would feel. Bummer it didn't workout. The straps could be worn in multiple ways which can be handy even if you don't need strapless. :-/

  • To be honest it looks better than my Freya deco strapless. At least it seems to be holding its shape haha, my freya deco just broke under my boobs!
    I think I'll give this a try!

  • MamaPagan I haven't found any padded bra that I like to wear. I always feel like tI can't breathe in them, that they push my boobs to my chest in an uncomfortable way.

  • brasaremean Yes that's why I said, that it is not that bad. I was impressed how it held up without the straps. I just think that the bra would be good only for special occasion when you just need to wear a strapless bra for once. I wouldn't want to wear it every day.

  • alisa The only padded ones I like and feel comfortable in is Ewa's S style, but that's at about a 50% fit and fail ratio for me. Half the time they fit, the other half they are a horrible fit in the same size.... :-/ Can't tell how they differ but it has to be something different, it's weird!

  • I can go braless if I need to and I STILL gave up on anything strapless. Long ago. Even before my enhancement and wore 30C they always slipped down. It is so NOT sexy to be yanking your bra and dress up all night!! . I find v-shaped halter necks to be sooooo sexy, slimming and flattering why would you ever want a squared off strapless look?! You can put the strap behind your neck and way to go. Cold shoulder dresses are also awesome. I wear my regular balconies with those.
