Didn't fit

My shape: FOB, soft tissue, narrow shoulders

stacybug very graciously sent me two of her Samanta bras to try on; she offered when she saw I was interested in trying out the brand after reading AGBras glowing reviews. Thank you so much! Ut helps so much to be able to narrow down which styles and sizes fit before taking the plunge and ordering new bras from overseas! I love that the community here is so helpful and willing to do things like that to help out others. You guys are amazing.

This bra is very well made and beautiful, but sadly didn't fit me. The cups have one vertical seam up the middle and one across the top where the lace meets the padded cups. The lace is a pretty beige color with leaf designs, and the rest of the cup is beige as well. The straps are padded, very wide set, and are made to be detachable. There are only two clasps on the band; I prefer 3, but it's not a deal breaker personally.

The fit on this was odd, probably due to the shape of the cups. It was too shallow at the bottom of the cup, but too open at the top. The gore didn't tack, which hardly ever happens to me. The straps were way way too wide, enough to make it very uncomfortable to even put on. This may be because they are detachable. I never really have occasion to wear a strapless bra, so having removable straps isn't necessary for me personally.

I can narrow down this style of semi-soft bra from Samanta; I'll stick with their unpadded bras, as the one I tried (and ultimately will be buying from stacybug!) fits me so much better.

This bra is not owned any more

This is not the same semi-soft form that I have. I don't think they're even making new styles in it. I recall reading somewhere that it is designed for medium breasts. This leads me to believe it is more shallow.
The Mintaka that I sent to Happy2BraShop is also from this category.
What soft are you keeping? An A922?

Yes! The Delight one, the same style you have! It's actually a cup size smaller than what my usual size would be at a 70H, but it fits wonderfully!

  • Yup! That style is VERY roomy

Glad to help out! I really wish Samanta had a chart to explain which model numbers are suited to different shapes. I think the 922 is their deepest model, but where do the other ones fall? I have tried 3 models, and they were all hit or miss on shape and size. If you are near a local shop to try them on, not an issue, and once you figure out your best model fit, you're all set.

I guess that's not just an issue with this brand. And Samanta does keep making new designs in the same model number, so that's a very good thing!

Oh the joys of bra buying!
