Didn't fit

The gore is too wideset so it gets pushed away from my sternum, which also makes the wires overlap each other.
The cups are too small, as is the band.

This bra is not owned any more

I get this gore thing quite often...pushed away, sitting on diagonal.
For me it is certainly not a gore width issue (I got 2 fingers between my girls), it's a cup depth issue. When I bend my KL wires into a deeper U shape, so that there's more space up front in the cup (and less side to side) it goes away and I get a nice tack.

  • Ohh. Could be. My biggest issue was this band was too tight. It was a weird fit for me.

  • Bummer :( did adjusting the cups work? How does it fare with an extender?

I really want to try KL again..but I'm iffy about non-stretch lace upper cups..my Brilliant (I think that was the name of the model) .. was an odd fit

  • *Sorry that should have been adjusting the cup wires (bending them as AprilGoulding mentioned)

  • Frazzleberry I never really bent them as I was borrowing the bra from MamaPagan and I didn't want to incur damage to it haha. I also can't speak for the extender part as I didn't have the bra for very long. It was uncomfortable too.

Maybe give Kris Line another try. Their newer models look improved, but again, I can't say from experience haha

  • Ooh completely understandable.

That's true, and they have more options.

I have several and the fit is very slightly different on each, but I mean very slightly. The thing i notice most is that some of the wires are more J shaped upon arrival but I know I have to bend them anyway, so I just proceed to do so. They all fit once I do that. All of them!
I have mostly old styles...I am waiting for the spring release of the pink one. I love pink :) I will also try more semi padded when they come out in my 65G size. I have a corset in 70FF with semi padded cups and I LOVE the fit of those cups but i know with just a bra a 70 band is too big.
Brilliant is on the way. I read that the fit is different. I'll review it when it comes...

    Pink is very pretty.

I'll be looking forward to that review ☺️ it would be interesting to compare notes

Actually, the wires were already bent which was why your width was 5.4” vs my original 7.5” haha. The 7.5” was way too wide so I bent them to be able to wear it. But remember, if the band is too small for you, you are pulling those narrow wires wider than they should be which results in the same wire twist. No amount of bending would make the band longer to stop this. An extender would have possibly worked for you, but it more likely would have made the straps in the back too wide set and in turn would have become a shoulder and placement issue instead. Those dreaded domino effects……😖

Bending the wires will only work if the band has some flexibility (ie a bit too big) to allow the bent (narrowed) wires to not be wishboned by the band tension when on. When bending the wires narrower, it makes the band slightly smaller, so that needs to be factored in as well.

I’ve tried 8 KrisLine bras, 3 soft, 2 semi-soft, 2 molded, and a padded. (Thank you to MagdaBras4you when I started my current bra journey!) They all fit differently as they were different styles. I feel it is worth you trying some more in a few styles & sizes to get a better idea of your fit needs. If you know the wires are going to be too wide, consider sizing up in the band to counterbalance the need of bending the wires narrow.

MamaPagan I love it when we can have multiple causes for the same problems. I have a little extra space in KL 65 bands...i could go to the second hook. And I did notice that agter bending the wires I didn't need to anymore, but was just so excited to get a tack that it never dawned on me that my wire surgery was also band surgery.

AprilGoulding Indeed! That's what makes our brainstorming so wonderful. By working through all the details we can figure it all out together. We are always learning. 💕 It's a beautiful thing.

Can I ask how you bent the wires? How do you prevent them from moving back?

  • 1

As long as the wires are firm enough (didn't work with Comexim wires which act like plastic) you can bend them fairly easily. Just cup the curve and gently manipulate them inward. It can make them almost point inward at the top but when on they don't point that way. This also works to bend them with the curve of the body, so a narrower body hugging U. I am doing a horrible job putting this process into words.....sorry.

That helps, I'll have to see if I can bend them in my Perla. The wires feel softer than normal BM wires though.

  • My latest Comexims were like that. I swear they are plastic, bend them and they flexed right back. Not like the normal Comexim wires.
