Didn't fit

This is the first molded-cup bra I've gotten since I've learned my true size. It's black and magenta, and gorgeous, but it just doesn't fit. I definitely need a larger cup, because it seems like it's at least one, and maybe two, cup sizes too small. The band is uncomfortable, not because it's too tight, but it is stiff.

The underwires are what make this the worst. They sit too low on the sternum and feel way too tight, but they are a bit too wide as well. I have a medium-wide root, and the wires were way, way too wide. I'm also a bit too projected and FOT for this bra. It's best suited to a 32G with wide roots, shallow projection, and FOB. I'm sad, because it's a gorgeous bra.

It just feels like a cheap bra. I'm not impressed with this first exposure to Cleo. Maybe it's because it's brand new, and it'll possibly get softer with time, but I'm not a fan of the Jude.

  • I could be wrong, but I think I remember hearing that the Jude was a disaster on pretty much everyone. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't want to tarnish a good bra's rep.
Unlined Cleo's are pretty nice, so don't give up yet. I think marcie is the one labeled FOT friendly. Lily and Meg are even friendly. Lucy fob friendly.

  • Don't let Jude mold your impression of Cleo. Jude is an extremely difficult shape to fit. It's very close on me. I am quite shallow. Jude is a little too shallow on bottom for me, and a bit too shallow by the gore. But it's not a bad bra. I still wear mine around. It's just not for everyone's shape. It's Cleo's biggest mistake, IMO, and it does feel like a cheap bra. Neve was Jude's replacement - but I can't recommend it for you because it's even shallower on bottom than Jude. I can see how Neve would work on the smaller/more typically shallow end of the size range.

If you want to try a molded Cleo, Juna might work. I believe it's kind of labeled or thought of as a shallow/wide bra, but it's not nearly as shallow and wide as Jude. Otherwise, the unlined Cleos are highly rated around here. I wouldn't know, I need a wider shape than that.

  • Yes, Jude is super shallow. I think they took a design that was specifically created as a modified push-up (really push-together) for small bust cup sizes, a range where shallow breast shape is very much the norm, and just scaled that sucker up and up and up without realizing that this would be a laughably terrible fit on actual full bust anatomies.

  • I had the same experience with the Jude, where I didn't come back to Cleo for years. Try the Maddie, I think you'd have better luck.

Ugh!

Center gore comfort:
Underwires dig into sternum, because they are too low
Strap separation:
Are too far apart
Top of the cup:
Cuts into breast tissue (quad boob effect)
Cup's width:
There is empty fabric on the sides (Cup too wide)

This bra didn't fit her, but these did
