Just an initial review, as I've really only tried it on for now. I plan on wearing it today and likely tomorrow, and I'll update as needed.

This bra works remarkable well, considering my past experience with Panache. The wires are a bit too wide, and I have some empty space on the bottom of the cup on my smaller boob, but their width is not what I would consider problematic. I have some slight wrinkling on my smaller boob, but I've never met an unpadded bra in which this wasn't an issue. The band is firm, but comfortable. I've been straggling between a 32 and 34 band for some months, but recently lost 10 pounds, so I am probably closer to 32 than 34 at this point.

The shape is very round for an unpadded -- not CHP round, but nowhere near conical. The straps *might* be an issue, as they look like there's potential for them to dig from being set too far apart, but the fabric of the bra is super soft, so I suspect any issues will ease with wash and wear. As a bonus, the straps are padded, and feel super comfy.

The cups are double-lined in this size, which I prefer, since it lends much better support than if they were not. What I appreciate about Panache is that the aesthetic of the bra is maintained (unlike some of Freya's balconettes in larger sizes), while support and fit is still there. The lace of the bra is quite stretchy, but not so much that support is compromised. The top of the cups, comprised of stretch lace, cut in my FoT boobs ever so slightly, but it's not noticeable in clothing.

The color is gorgeous of course, one of the main reasons I felt the need to purchase this, and works well as a nude bra for my super pale skin. The apricot is brighter in person, and looks great with my pale skin and auburn hair. It's a great spring bra, and will pair well with my brightly colored lace Aerie undies. The cups are patterned on the bottom with polka dots, which extend to the band. The floral lace lines the top of the cup and the bottom of the band, and has a slight sheen to it. All in all, I'm very pleased with this! I'm excited for the future release of the blue colorway I've seen on Moda previews.

  • thank you for this, I am looking at this bra, have you tried the floris or unpadded cleos?? just wondering how it compares?

  • Those pics are great! You did a great job of showing how well the bra is made and all the lovely details. I'm also very interested in how this bra compares to the floris (which is amazing!)

I haven't tried the Floris, but Olivia is based off of Floris, if that helps at all. I think Olivia is less open on top as Floris, but the fit is otherwise the same.

Compared to unpadded Cleo bras, the wires on this are more wide (but also, more strong) and the cups are less projected. Additionally, the shape is less round and spherical as is typical of Cleo. If Floris and Cleo work for you, I'm guessing Olivia would as well!

Thanks, Stinkmouse ! The details are really what make this bra so gorgeous.

One more thing I forgot to add in the review, Olivia does come with 3 hooks in this size! No matter how great Cleo is, the 2 hook fastening bother me to no end.

Great review and pictures! You make me actually want to try Panache again.

Amen… 2 hooks is just not enough. I have an issue with my floris but I'm in love with the way it seems so much like a Cleo but has 3 hooks. !!!

Thanks for the review - dying to try one myself!

Oh - so glad to come back and see you say three hooks - this picture shows it with only 2 hooks! Maybe it changes at a certain cup? http://www.breakoutbras.com/product/panache-olivia-balcony-underwire-7751/Underwire-Bras

I'm guessing it changes to 3 hooks at GG? I think I've seen that mentioned on Bravissimo for Panache bras before.

I've been wearing this nearly all week (washings in between wears, of course), and it definitely gets more comfy with wear. Ladies, snatch this one up! I'm hoping it sticks around for awhile.

Its coming out in blue in the fall, so I'm not sure if I want to buy the peach (for my birthday in June - but I REALLY want the ivory floris), or if I should wait and get the blue one later.
