Didn't fit

When I ordered this bra, I hoped very much that it would fit me well. After all, it was regarded a good bra for shallow breasts with wide roots. The bra itself is pretty enough. Unfortunately, it's for very shallow breasts with very wide roots.

The band: It is comfortable. It seems to have been stretched out a bit from prior buyers trying on the bra. I can secure on the second set of hooks for the just right tightness, the first set for "comfort" though I find a tighter fit less stressful since it means less adjusting during the day. The 3 hooks per column is fantastic. The side boning is wonderful.

The straps: Very wide. Feels as if it's cutting into my chest at times, though if I place it just where my pecs meet the shoulders, it feels comfortable enough since it actually pushes the migrated breast tissue toward the breast initially.

Cups: Here's the problem. When I am wearing the straps, the cup design on the side is so high that it cuts into my arm pits and pushes some tissues under my arms rather than enclose them within the cups themselves. Moreover, when I'm wearing the straps with the gore lying against my sternum, the underwires sit nearly an inch beneath the bottom of my breasts and half an inch beyond the side of my breasts. If the underwires sit just beneath my breast tissue at the bottom, the center gore sits atop my breasts instead of the sternum. The center gore at the top of the bra itself might fit my dimensions, but the gore widens significantly at the bottom. YET, all at the same time, I get a quad-boob effect at the top.

Interestingly, if I take off the straps and fold down the top portion of the bra so that the side of the cups aren't digging into my armpits, it fits very snugly as a strapless bra, suggesting that perhaps the cups aren't too wide or the underwire too long. The center gore does feel a smidge tight, but it no longer really presents a problem. The bra fits so well that I'm tempted to experiment with altering into a strapless.

Lastly, although the bra is named a "padded bra," it's more like a spacer bra. There is actually no padding, just a foaminess to the cup.
