Used to fit

I have shallow, moderately wide breasts that are slightly conical in shape.

I've tried several different bras by the various Figleaves brands, but this is the first foray into their Boudoir line. I can definitely say that the cups in this line (at least, the padded ones) are very similar in shape to their padded cups in other lines: shallow, wide, and open on top. Very shallow-friendly. The cups maybe run a tad small. I get the barest amount of quadboob when I scoop and swoop properly. And it's definitely not an orange-in-a-glass type quadboob. I'm not sure if a 30DD would be too big or not. I'd rather have a smidgeon of quadboob than a cup that's too big anyways.

The first thing I notice upon trying this bra on is how wide set the straps are. I haven't tried on a bra with straps this wide set since I was wearing 32 and 34 bands. I can wiggle my shoulders and the straps just slide right off, no matter how tight the straps are.

The second thing I noticed was the lace. It looks pretty, but it's a bit of a pain. It gets folded and caught in things, and it looks like there wasn't a whole lots of effort into making it fit smoothly with the cup underneath. There's a pucker of lace at the dart, very similar to the Lepel Fiore Balcony (93208) that I owned a while back.

Also like the other Figleaves bras I've tried on is that the band seems to run a bit stiff/small. Which is pretty nice (in my opinion) because they don't offer 28 bands, only 30 bands. If you're between sizes, go with the larger one.

Overall, it's a pretty bra that would be near-perfect if the straps weren't so far apart. Very reminiscent of some high end bras, like the Mimi Holliday Bisou Bisou Berry Lace & Silk Satin Padded Shoulder Bra (AW12-251). Unfortunately, I don't think the quality is there to back up the look. At retail, it's a $76 bra, and I would have been extremely disappointed if I'd paid that much for it. I bought it on sale for $30, and I think $30 is a better reflection of this quality of bra.

This bra is not owned any more
