SM Koralik 60L

This is my third attempt with Koralik, having tried it prior in a 60K and 60KK. This one is a firm salmon colored lace, and while the cup material is not stretchy, it does have some give to the materials. In this size the cups have 3 lower sections with 2 vertical seams, plus an upper section and the outer wedge area that connects the straps to the cup.

Now for the measurements!
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 22.25” and stretches to a max of 27.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
This measurement is: 13”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
This measurement is: 15”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup width is 6” with a height of 9”; the gore is 0.55” wide and 4” tall, with the wing height of 4.75”.

To compare to the 60K- depth 12.15-14.55” max with 8.5” tall, and the 60KK depth 12.3-15” max and a height of 8.8”. This really makes me wonder if I am using as much force with the max cup depth stretch as I used to, or if they are using some other firming agent on the materials for the 60L cups as compared to the 60KKs……

As for fit,
While Kaska tried to talk me out of getting this one, I am glad I didn’t listen. The cups are a nice full fit with no immediate quadding or flattening. The gore sits 2 fingers off the sternum but is otherwise comfortable. The band is comfortable on the tightest hook-set. All and all a great fit, at least at this point of my cycle (low tide). I haven’t worn this (or the others) yet, just did the quick try on and photos, so if my fit assessment changes with wear, I will try to remember to update. ☺
