Fits

BM Antonina 60L

This is my third attempt at the BM Antonina, having tried it in 60K and 60KK prior. While the 60KK fit fine initially, my breasts went through a growth spurt that made all my bras suddenly too small and prompted me to order up a cup. While that growth spurt turned out to just be a temporary 4 week swelling spree, I’d already ordered this and several others in the larger size.

For the measurements:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 22.5” and stretches to a max of 27.25”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
This measurement is: 13”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
This measurement is: 16”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup height is 11” and 6” wide, with a gore of 4.15” tall and 0.55” wide, and the wing is 4.5” tall.
To compare, the 60K Antonina was 15.5” deep and 9.5” tall, while the 60KK was 16.5” deep and 10.15” tall.

As for fit, the gore is 1 finger off my sternum, and the cups feel great. The strap is too wide set for perfect comfort and the upper lace is barely tensed but still wearable, especially at higher tide days. I am mid cycle, closer to low tide than high tide. While this one actually measures smaller in singular depth than my Antonina 60KK, the cup on this one is definitely more spacious for sure. The 60KK is too small at the base of the cup now, while this one feels roomier. I think this fit would technically be classified as too big, but the 60KK is too small, so as long as this one is comfortable on, then I am classifying it as a fit.

Looks great! Tbh I've learned that I'd rather the loose lace at the top and roomier cups than uncomfortable smaller bras.

brasaremean I agree, but the loose lace always bothers me so much. Like someone is going to notice the extra wrinkles under a shirt. :|

I am honestly more bothered with the way it looks like my boobs are being shelved but it is so so much more comfortable I'm over it by now.

I typically wear sweatshirts so I'm not worried about that. It's my brutally honest husband's comments that kill me. But the 60KKs are painfully small so I will take a bit of looseness on top over painfully small regardless of his comments. :-D

I hate being squeezed by tight cups :X

First day wearing this one and it was comfy all day. Yay, no bra related pains!! (And hubby didn't say a single negative comment about fit!)
