Used to fit

This is my second attempt with PL Dark Magenta, having tried it prior in 60KK.

Since I was getting a lot of quadding with the 60KK I had to let go of that one, but I am a sucker for all things purple so I finally decided to order it again in a cup size up. The cup construction is 3 lower sections with two vertical seams, and one horizontal upper section. The cups are lightly foam lined, and have cookie pockets with removable almond shaped cookies for asymmetry correction or extra oomph as needed. The cups and band are black with purple lace covering them, and the straps have a purple ribbon that extends for the whole length of the strap. While my 60KK had the ribbon sewn on without stretching the straps first, there was very little flexibility to the straps. Luckily Ewa corrected the issue with this one so the straps are fully stretchy and comfortable.

The band measures 22.6” and stretches to 28.75” and has a full lace band with 3 hooks and four rows of eye loops at this size.

Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
This measurement is: 12.25”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
This measurement is: 14.75”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup height is 9”, width is 6.5”, and the gore .55” wide with 3.55” tall. To compare, the 60KK had a depth of 12.25” to a max of 14”, height of 8.625”, width of 6.2”, gore .63” wide with 3.25” tall. This shows the 60L has a bit more overall coverage and depth than the 60KK provided.

As for fit, it is an improvement over the 60KK, but still not a perfect fit. The cups do fit, but I still get a bit of center spillage due to the lower gore, which is worse if I try and do a proper swoop and scoop. The gore is about 2 fingers off my sternum. Regardless of a swoop and scoop my breasts just look really wide in this bra.

I think part of the reason is it does not push my breast up, but instead my breasts force the cups outward, so I bulge out instead of round up. The path of least resistance wins again. This could be due to my implants, the wide set straps, or a combination of both, but it just doesn’t give me the wow “pop” look like it does on Ewa’s model Gosia which was more of what I was hoping for. I know, different boobs, different results, but a girl can dream though, right? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":-D" />

The plus side is that I now realize why the S style gives that same look though (out instead of up) which makes it look “bulky” instead of beautiful on me. Gotta love those epiphany moments! I am really thinking that I should just avoid Ewa’s padded bras, as while I love the extra support they give, I do not find their look on me to be as appealing…..
