Side boning measures 2.75". I love this bra. The materials are more than strong enough for an everyday bra, yet so very soft and comfortable for the sexy, cupless bra that it is. The straps are close set and even a women with extremely narrow shoulders would have no issue with them slipping off. It provides nice lift and surprisingly nice shape under clothes. The only thing that makes this bra not smooth under clothing is the strap that wraps around the "cups" to create ruching and makes it so you can adjust the "cups" for fit and style. These "cups" somehow seem to provide some lift, some how. The straps are fully adjustable, so you can shorten them quite a bit which will draw the "cup" further up the body for a better fit or just for less cover (or better coverage depending on the breast). On the other hand you can lengthen them for better fit, more/less cover depending on the person. Such a versatile bra. I have two pictures showing this, a front shot with the straps shortened and all the other shots do not have the straps shortened. It was very difficult for me to get close up shots of the lovely details of this bra. It was also difficult for me to get the "cup depth" of this bra, so I put it on my knee and sort of filled it up with stretching it too much. It can easily fit a range of depths I am sure. The materials themselves aren't very stretchy, but with the design of the "cups" they act like they are stretchy. This bra shows the fact that my IMF is higher on one side and lower on the other. Definitely don't think it is a good bra for disguising distinct asymmetries. I would definitely recommend Lascivious, their prices are high but the quality is even higher. I think they are everything that Agent Provocateur wanted to be, except agent fell into the mass production hole of "standard sizing" and telling people to do the Plus 4 method of measuring for their bras. I definitely recommend following Lascivious size chart. Their bands are very tight for the sizes they are. I measured a 27 inch stretched band on my 30D bra. A funny little story about when I was first ordering from them. I looked over their size chart - they definitely recommended that I order the 30D. So, I wrote them asking 'how could this be? I always wear a 32B and sometimes get gaping in those." They re-recommended that I order the 30D, but said I was more then welcome to get the 32B. So, I ordered the 32B..I received it and it was quite humorous how badly it fitted me. I ended up returning it and getting the original recommendation, my amazing 30D Lila Bra from Lascivious. I can't wait to get more.
