Didn't fit

I kind of knew this bra wouldn't fit based on my experience with other Freya Plunge Balconies (especially the Ooh La La) and fit pictures of the same size here. But the embroidery is so pretty (florals!) and it is on sale, I just had to buy the bra and try it out.

As expected, the diagonal seam cuts into my tall roots, though not as much as the Ooh La La did. The wire is also too wide, but that is seen in all UK bras that I have tried. The gore height is very comfortable at 2 inches - that's the most my close-set breasts can stand. The gore width however is too big for me. It was sitting on breast tissue and flattening the inside of my breasts. The band felt snug, although the stretched band measurement is much too big for a 28 band. Freya really needs to do something about their loose stretchy band. The projection level is pretty perfect. I'm surprised my soft breasts can fit into 7.4-inch and 8.5-inch cup depths at the same time, without major quad-boob (in shallow cups) or gapping (in deep cups). I would totally have kept the bra if it didn't give me quad boobs on top and along centre, which looks like it's squeezing all my tissue into the apex for a pointy shape.

I think it's safe to say that Freya's Plunge Balconies just won't fit me. I am really going to control my spending and quit bra shopping for a while, after having bought a basic, white lined plunge bra from China (desperately need one under work clothes - my Deco Vibe in Candy is not going to work). I'm hoping to hold onto my slightly too shallow Freya Deco Vibe 28F and Comexim Ginger 3HC 60H for at least a few months. The next bra on my to-get list is the Cleo Kayla, which seems narrow and projected. If that doesn't work out, maybe I'll get an unlined plunge from Comexim, or perhaps EM.
