Didn't fit

This is one of my first bra attempts in trying to find my best fit. Overall, it's my most comfortable bra I own at this point, but I can't say this is "it" yet. When I first got this, I realized that the 38 band was just way too tight, even on the loosest setting. I bought an Elomi Bjou Soree at the same time to try a plunge style. The Bjou was way more comfortable in the band even though they are supposedly the same size, so lesson learned there. I am able to wear this bra with an extender, giving me an extra inch till it stretches.

The gore was really tight against my sternum, till I added the extender, but even then, I'm very aware it's there when I stand up.

The cup is filled in from the bottom to about 2/3rd to the top. Then I have wrinkling fabric, but it's a heck of a lot better than my other purchases to date. I think I am FOT, because doing the lean over test, I've got a lot of volume above the midline. However, I am tall rooted with pendulous breasts, and very soft tissue. Overall, I have a rounded, slightly pointed look while wearing this, but at least I'm not going east/west. (Bjou, my gawd it's bad!)

The underwire was a big problem. The first day I wore it, which was without the extender, I had bruises where the wire stopped under my arms. The wire stops about an inch below where the cup fabric comes up to. Next time, I added the extender, which helped, except it still dug into my sides. I pulled out my older calcique bra for comparison, that never bothered me with that part of the underwire, and adjusted the underwire to a more U shape, and now the bra is mostly wearable for a day. I have to occasionally tweak the wires throughout the day. I hope this gets better. If I understand, Elomi has the longest wire lenths on the market in my size, so I can't imagine finding a bra that would have enough length to not squash migrated breast tissue, without having the actual cup be enormous on me. So, I've got as workable a fix as I can get right now.

Another odd thing is that I'm very aware of underarm sweat in this bra. The cup fabric is not breathable, as I end up shedding a bra that's sopping wet in that spot, at the of the day. I've never had that happen before in 26 years of wearing bras.

I know this seems all negative, but it's just my assessment of what's some issues of a doable bra, till I find "the one."

Can you do narrower widths? If so I can recommend Sculptresse by Panache which will have taller wires on the side. They are also narrower and more up front, and many shapes are better for FOT
than Elomi. Most Elomis are best for FOB.

  • Do you have any style recs from thier brand?

I guess I have an average projection. I thought up until now that I had a shallow projection, but I really reassessed, using the guides on /a bra that fits, just now. Maybe I have been looking for the wrong thing. I just have long tubular breasts that just lay on my stomach, so they tend to flatten out because they have a surface to spead out on. I have very triangle shaped body, so my breasts tend to look small in comparison when in a bra.

  • I'm thinking this bra might work: 40GG - Sculptresse » Pure Moulded T-shirt Bra (6291) looks ok for measurements compared to your Elomi. It's very soft and gives a rounded gathered profile. All the reviews on here for it seem to be positive.

I loved Sculptresse Kitty (8045) for projection and the open top which is nice for full on top breasts and has a very forward, round profile, a lot like the Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) but with much softer fabric. It is discontinued but is on Amazon and eBay. Styles like it are the Marcie and the also discontinued Sculptresse Charisse (8055).

Sculptresse Chi-chi Full Cup Bra (7695) Is less immediately projected and more rounded but a lot of folks like the shape and the band is phenomenal. Sculptresse Flirtini Balconnet Bra (7685) might be ok for tall roots but might cut in if you're very full on top. It's also a bit wider. Happy bra hunting!

Thank you so very much <3

This gives me some better direction than where I was thinking before.

No worries! There's less options for us at this size so we have to stick together. Also check out roxannelovesbras
And RollsAndCurves and her blog because they have great reviews and are in similar sizes to us.
