Didn't fit

Very short, projected, center full, even, slightly narrow, close set breasts....

Adorable, intense red with tiny white dots. The cups have an internal, soft, power mesh. The body is a single layer of lycra. The band is supportive and feels TTS, although measuring its stretched condition was nearly impossible. The 2mm polka dots pattern, combined with gentle shirring, camouflages effectively.

Oi! This tankini combined with my breasts demonstrates how close-set, center full breasts are not always compatible with plunge bras. Ugh. From a volume perspective, 30FF is usually a good fit in Curvy Kate. But, because my breasts are center-full and close-set, the cups in this tankini do not allow a place for my breasts inside the cup. I've heard other users mention "falling to the middle." I don't fall to the middle: my breasts exist in the middle and resist all efforts to move them outside the middle. If the plunge wires sat .5" closer, I would happily wear this. But, the band does not have 1" extra to share for this alteration.

In the past, I have worn Lands' End tankinis that billow at the waist and make me look larger. La Blanca tankinis keep me on high alert--feeling like the girls will escape. And, one piece swimsuits almost never fit comfortably because of the disparate size beween my chest, waist, and hip--very curvy. Plus, restroom breaks in a wet one piece result in some frustration. I'm motivated to find a swimsuit that I can enjoy and stop worrying about escapes. The plunge, unless wires are moved and covered with bow or button, isn't working for me. It appears, however, a Curvy Kate balconette may fit perfectly.

Curvy Kate fits curvy figures! My waist is 26" here and it is hugged by lycra. This is the most curve hugging tankini I have ever worn. And, the tankini is long enough, that my stomach remains covered. In the past, I've experienced tankinis and other knits ridding up around my stomach because they are not cut for wider hips. This tankini happily hugs my hips, too. Overall, Curvy Kate covers curves beautifully! Curvy Kate Tankini experiment #2 commences now https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />
