Went to Nordstrom and was fitted incorrectly for a bra. Some of the more memorable moments:
1- "Sometimes, we just have to settle on something that almost fits."
2- "Well, a 34d is just as good as a 32dd" (when the 32 fit in the band, but the cup was too small)
3-"I've never had a bra that had more than 2 hooks"
4-" I've brought more sizes in this one for you to try, and the matching thong" (none of the sizes were right, and I don't wear thongs.
5-" I had someone just like you earlier today, and she finally just picked the best one and bought it." I'm pretty sure she did what I did. Bought something and then returned it another day.
6- She didn't know her brands at all- what ran larger or smaller.
7- She kept fastening it on the largest setting, when the smallest was too big even.
8- She said many times "we don't have that one in a (30 or 32) so let's try this 34.
9- She wanted too much for me to buy an expensive bra, not one that fit me.

The whole experience was good for a laugh. =)

  • Wow... I wonder if she really was that unfit for the job(doesn't know how a bra should fit) or if she actually knows how to fit someone but chooses to lie about the fit when there's no compatible size to make sales. Anyway, that's an awful fitting experience!

  • When I went there, they told me they can alter the bands down for an extra $17, not bad but I can do that myself.. and why would I buy a $60+ bra and pay the $17 to alter >.<!!
Rather find a deal online and alter it myself for free XD
