Bust-friendly clothing: Lady V London & Biu Biu

Since the old bust-friendly clothing adventure is like 100 pages behind, and nobody posts there anymore, I'll start a new one. (if that’s ok xD)

I’m so annoyed with Biu Biu! I did sent some stuff back from my last order on 18.12.2012. In late January I started to worry and wrote an E-Mail to BiuBiu. A week later I got finally an answer: They said they never got the return. Since I sent the parcel recorded I could look it up but only where it went in my own country. So I E-mailed BiuBiu again and told them the tracking nr. and asked them ask about the parcel on the polish post. Since then I got no answer for 10 days!
I’m not mad if I have to wait a few days, I know BiuBiu is a small company and not all companies can offer a customer service like Bravissimo but it’s longer than I waited for replies from Ewa Michalak!

Now yesterday I got a message from my postman that I have to fetch a parcel from Poland at my post office. It was the same parcel I sent on 18.12! Polish post had returned it because it was not picked up by BiuBiu at their post office! I paid about 13£ postage for this and now I have it again? It would have been cheaper to just sell the clothes that not fit on ebay than send them back!
I don’t know If I’ll order from them again! It just gets too expensive that way! I had however never such problems with Urkye.

Has anyone made similar experiences with BiuBiu returns?

I just discovered Lady V London and I fell in love with their beautiful dresses. Especially this one: http://www.ladyvlondon.com/Red-Wine-Polka-Dot-Swing-Dress_A17GEY.aspx?nh=300293
Doesn’t every girl need a polka dot dress? :D

Has anyone ever bought something from them? How is the sizing? Due to their size chart I’m a size 18 in bust measurement, 14 in waist and 16 in hips. I know collectif dresses do run bigger than their size chart says but what about Lady V?

  • I think Biubiu can't handle the amount of their business anymore. I was trying to order a button shirt but they had a mislabeling mixup and had to redo everything.
I think the same is happening to Ewa.
Anyway, I just wanted to share an emailI got from Urkye after I asked for some work appropriate necklines :)

Regarding clothes with a more closed neckline – I suggest trying:

New Skub: http://urkye.pl/en_US/p/Skub-szafirowy/196 it’s neckline is wide, but not deep – it’s perfect combination for work. It’s available in four colors.

Wodnik: http://urkye.pl/en_US/p/Wodnik-fioletowy/134 is another top with not so deep neckline. In front ;)

Other tops have rather deep neckline that is very flattering for women with large breasts, but if you don’t feel comfortably in such necklines at work, it’s not a good option. However, if you also look for something more casual, I highly suggest trying Kokarda top: http://urkye.pl/en_US/p/Kokarda-czerwona/140 or Dzwonek: http://urkye.pl/en_US/p/Dzwonek-w-butelkowej-zieleni/159 this type of neckline really gives excellent proportions :) Dwulicowa Tuba: http://urkye.pl/en_US/p/Dwulicowa-zielona-tuba/112 is also very flattering.

New Skunks dress: http://urkye.pl/en_US/p/Skunks-amarantowy/193 has quite “polite” neckline, but still gives very good proportions for women with large breast – I think trying it is a good idea :)

Other dresses have rather deep neckline. If you want to try also styles for more casual occasions, I suggest trying Skołowana: http://urkye.pl/en_US/p/Skolowana-czerwona/146 it has the same type of neckline as Dzwonek or Kokarda, so it’s very flattering for women with large breast. Skołowana runs a little bit bigger, so in this style I suggest size 36oo/ooo.

  • Collectif dresses in general does not run bigger, the Dolores which are stretchy and more generous cut does, but they have a separate size chart with only flat measurements on as well, which affects measurements vs. fit.

From what I've seen about lady V is that their dresses are quite good at slightly more curvy than high street-bodies. For more curves than that you will most likely need to belt the dress and size up. The Hepburn dresses are supposed to be the most curve friendly but will still for a large cup size have arm hole issues.
