Best Measuring Practices?

Sitting down to measure out my new Deco Half Cup and noticing that the wires are a lot (3/4 of an inch) shorter than the wire channel. I've been measuring the length of the underwire channel (like the diagram shows) but this is the first time I've encountered such a large difference between the wire and the channel.

I'm thinking that this would be something useful to indicate in the measurements area. For instance, if a higher gore digs into someone's chest, being able to move the wires further back could make it wearable. Maybe a check box to indicate whether the wires were more than 1/4" shorter than the channel?

In the meantime, what's the best measurement to take - wire or channel length?

  • It's the wires we are supposed to measure not the channels :) For me that's the easiest measurement. Cup depth and cup width I've had more problems with understanding :D

It's nice not being the only newbie on this area! :)
