If I scope everything gets distorted!

Ok, I have to ask about this because I simply don't understand what it means.

If I scope the wires always ends further and further back. Would that happen if the bra wasn't too big to begin with?!

I've come to the conclusion that scoping and swooping for me is like just getting a wider and wider root and I always end up with painful wire distortion and a mess.

  • When you scoop you essentially 'pull' tissue but also skin from the back towards the front of the body, but simultaneously the front of the bra (i.e. cups and wires) gets pulled backwards by the tension that is built up when the bra band is 'sufficiently' tight to prevent the skin from slipping back from underneath the wires (did that make any sense at all?). This additional tension is, I think, what distorts the wires.

In my personal opinion a bra should be tight enough to keep the tissue in place but not so tight as to prevent the skin from relaxing and the wires to settle in a comfortable shape and place ...

  • @MilkAndHoney: I understand the first explanation. But your opinion I don't exactly get :D

You mean that if my tissue wants to slope backwards I should allow it to be there instead of forcing it forward?

The thing that I even can make a 38 band bra wire distorted is certainly disheartening. Maybe I need totally inflexible wires not to kill myself? :O
