So I finally found the perfect bra for me a couple of weeks ago and was lucky enough to snag a second one as well, thus finally having some bras to wear. And I was so happy and relieved. In a weird twist, after being sick for the past week (not anything special, just some random bug), I suddenly lost enough weight that I had to go to the last hook already on my brand new bras--that just a week ago fit perfectly--just to keep the band from sliding around. I've got to just laugh at the timing, honestly. I wasn't expecting them to fit perfectly forever, but I did expect more than a week.

  • That sucks!! For me a weight change of as little as 5-10 lbs can have a significant impact on my bra fit. I’ve started keeping 2-3 sizes around for that reason.

  • If you think the weight loss is permanent and the cup still fits great, you can have the band taken in at a tailor. It doesn’t cost much. Or, if you know how to sew, take the band in yourself.
