Tall bra issues

My bras getting too tall for me again… cutting in of the straps at the arms, gaping at the top of the cup but only at the section where the straps meet the cup. Overall feeling of less support. But at the center I have zero gaping and even fill the cups quite well they even cut in a bit. Does this mean I need 1 bra size smaller already? I mean it's the 32JJ Bravissimo bras that I bought 3 months ago and that were good back then. It there any reason why my size changes like that? I loose upper fullness but not at the center? I even have the problem that some bras cut in at the center a bit (the Elomi Tori) but I don't need that bra to be any taller. Do I need to avoid tall bras for good or just size down (again)?

  • You may be on your way to the next size down, yes. Sorry :-/ Most people will experience an obvious loss of boob height when going down in size--at least in terms of the part of the breast that would be contained in most bra cups. This does not usually change horizontal tissue distribution though so if you are center full in general, that will often be where a cup shape issue will be most visible.

It's also possible that you may prefer less-tall cups than before proportion-wise--it's very individual. You could try writing down measurements from boob base to apex and apex to top edge of boob tissue, in a supportive bra, and see how things evolve I suppose.

  • The strap gap isn't necessarily a fit issue. Sometimes the bras are just going to be too tall and there's nothing you can do about it. You can try sizing down if you feel unsupported, but this might not help. You might just be squeezed in and it is still too tall. I would not keep sizing down if this is the case.
