How To Bend Bra Wires

When the wires on my Kinga Moonstone Bra

were too wide, I decided to bend them.

I do this every now and again...my roots are VERY narrow.

I recorded a video so you could see how I do it, and how easy it is.

Bending in wires that are too wide creates better side support, and also creates more space/depth in the center of the cup where I need it most. Sometimes, I have a bra that just will not tack but it does after I bend the wires.

Note: this surgery will not create more projection at the bottom of the cup. It will create more space at the center of the cup and at the gore side of the wire.

Note: this surgery sometimes will move wideset straps in just a tad. Bonus.

Note: this surgery alters the length of your band. It will make it shorter. Furthermore, if your band is already VERY tight, unless you have exceptionally hard wires, it will pull your wires out wider again. If I have a band that's just "new bra tight" I stretch the band by holding one hand near the wing and another at the end and I repeatedly pull and release, like you would do with an elastic band to loosen it. This just mimics the effects of several bra wearings

Note: this surgery is not perfect. You're using your hands so its very difficult to get it exactly the same on both cups. If you're OCD, don't do it.
