I’m making a bra......

Sooo I excessively researched bra making, drafted a pattern, and this morning I started my pattern trial bra repurposing a hideous dress as my main fabric.......I managed to sew 2 of the same side cups, but I’m fit checking so I kept going anyway, trial bra now has an inside out cup. I also forgot to sew the top of the center gore......but!!! IT FITS, i mean in so far as I can tell with a front panel and cups only, while holding wire in place..... pretty excited for this, possibly my first full coverage bra EVER, and even if it turns out ugly and falls apart fast it gives me measurements to search here for bras! So far it brings the search down to 149 bras, mostly 30DD, giving me a “normal” size. Next I have to finish Frankenstein’s bra, figure out alterations (so far top of cups is slightly off and front straps where drafted would come up in the middle of my armpits..) then I’ll use beautiful soft pink fabric and make one.....although I’m quickly remembering why I hate sewing knits, and this far in I can already say with certainty corsets are WAY easier to make than bras (sewing and drafting)
