Narrow Gores

You know if you had asked me a few years ago I never would have thought I needed a narrow centre gore. My boobs without a bra have an east/west action all on their own splaying outwards towards my sides. When I smoosh my boob to find the outer edges of the tissue there came a revelation: my outwardly "separated" boobs aren't really separated at all. There is maybe but a pinky fingers width in between them!

I have known this for a while but it really hasn't become a problem till my boobs decided to increase in cup size. I need bras with narrow underwires, deep cups and narrow centre gores. Freya is usually my best fit in the regard but lately even with the larger cups the gores are a tad too wide. I don't really like altering bras; I'm not a seamstress. I have to pay someone else to do it and they have restrictive hours. Are there any brands I've missed that would fit these requirements? In Freya a 28E or F depending on the time of the month fits great except for the centre gore.

  • I can't reccomend the cantelle's rive gauche 3-part cup enough! I have the same problem with gores and unfortunately don't fit chantelle range anymore - but you do. And the rive gauche has perfect wires and is by far the best bra I have ever held in my hands in every way - shape, comfort and style. Cleo lizzie also worked for me, it's the same cut as cleo george, so if you can find some in your style I think that would work also. Although, the cut may be too deep for you, rive gauche is much more forgiving.

  • TYVM! I'll give them a try. I'm especially curious about trying the Lizzie since I've never met a bra that was cut too deep yet. Too shallow oh yes but not too deep. lol

I guess when I was smaller the centre gore didn't come up high enough to matter but it does now. The Lyla I have is narrow enough but the new Rio and Ellie I got isn't. I didn't realise this until after I'd worn them a few times. I'm trying to not wear them till I can get to my seamstress but with the hours I've been working lately it won't be happening soon.

I'm glad the Lyla fits which means when I get a couple more Arabellas those will fit too which is good b/c this is my fave and best fitting bra ever. However just 2 designs of the same bra style seem so limiting. I like variety.
