I originally planned to post on the original post here: [ http://ewamichalak.blogspot.ca/2013/06/klient-ma-zawsze-racje.html ] but blogger is acting weird on me for some reason and wouldn't let me.
My thoughts on Strapgate: 1) HUGE misunderstanding between Polish and English methods, and 2) Ewa Michalak is being extremely self-righteous and immature/ignorant about the situation.
She COMPLETELY disregards the English method of measuring ... and instead puts the model in a size based on her assumption of why we are fitting wrong: too small band, too big cup. To illustrate this she uses the size 70KK (32KK) on the model.
WHY this is COMPLETELY ignorant: we use the English method, she just pulled that bra size out of complete ignorance. Since her model measures 92 cm tight (36 inches)... she would be in a 36 band according to our methods. She went 2 band sizes too small and completely disregarded our fit method.
For demonstration purposes I will be using 117 (46 inches) as the reference bust measurement since the model got fitted to 90F according to the size chart on her website. In basic English methods, an underbust of 36 and a bust measurement of 46 would put her in 36GG, or 80GG. The sister size of 36GG in a 32/70 band would be... 32HH/70HH, which meant she sized up two cups too big. Thus why the wires were SO wide in her post.
I [sort of] understand why she put her in 70KK though... because according to her size chart: [ http://oi43.tinypic.com/309hta0.jpg ] WHY'D SHE ADD A CUP SIZE?! I smell propaganda O_O.
This is completely irrelevant to the points I've made above, but another issue is that she doesn't grade her bras properly/proportionately. It makes sense to make cups narrower/deeper as the band shrinks, which also means moving strap position.
I'm done with EM. I love my bras from them, but even if they go back to manufacturing sub-65 bands, my money will not go to them anymore. At first I was neutral about the situation, but :/ ... this really added the cherry on top of the sh*t pile. I do think that there was some language barrier in between all of this mess and how different countries have a different stance on customer service, but she must've thought that we were all too stupid or something. Seeing her make sarcastic expressions in those pictures really showed how self-righteous she is. I will be spending my money on Comexim and Avocado now. Bye forever!

Wow, this looks so professional! It was pretty close for me. I didn't have a laying down measurement, so I fudged that one. It gave me a 36J, and I usually wear 34 bands, the tighter ( more true to size?) ones with an extender, so it might be nice to also have a " prefer a tighter band?" option. It's also a cup up from my normal target size, but my cups are pretty full these days and tend to be good fits in ones that run bigger, so seems fair enough.
Dead on for my Fantasie size.
