I bought this top impulsively while browsing Breakout. I can't remember the last time I even wore a swimsuit, never mind a two-piece, but I liked the nautical look of it so much I couldn't resist. It's so cute! I love the stripes, the cup design, and the buttons on the gore. There's even a little gold Panache charm sewn ... onto the left side band. Adorable.
The material is standard non-shiny swimsuit fabric, with not too much stretch. The cups are unpadded and lined in white mesh. I do get a little bit of nipple poke, but the contrast between the navy band on the top of the cups and the stripes hides it pretty well. The back has one plastic interlocking closure similar to a typical front-close bra clasp, but bigger.
I'm pleasantly surprised by the fit and look in person! It's really flattering. The band is snug but not too tight. The cups fit pretty well on both sides with no quadding or gaping, and somehow manage to hide my asymmetry. The gore tacks comfortably. I was concerned that the band would be too thin on me and would accentuate my back bulges, but it doesn't. The only small issue I have with it is the straps - they're spaced wide for me and I can see them slipping with wear. It would be good if it had a j-hook or a way to cross the straps in the back, but I can finagle something if it becomes a problem. Overall, I really like it. The matching high-waisted striped retro bottom didn't work for me (waist comes up too high), but I'm exchanging for a midrise solid navy bottom that I expect will be much better. I look forward to finding an excuse to wear the set this summer!

Oh that IS adorable! You’re making me want to wear a swimsuit- almost nothing EVER makes me want to do that. Looks so good on you! <3
The fabric is amazing; it's soft, pretty, and supportive. Well-made, as you would expect from Panache. Good projection, rounded shape (on me). The seams don't show TOO much once you've worn it a bit; the most obvious seam is the horizontal one. The straps are set a bit wide, as with most balconnets, but wasn't quite a problem for me. ... The band rolls out a bit in front under the wires - normal for me because I'm short-waisted and my stomach sticks out. I think overlapping the gore and putting shorter wires in will solve the most urgent fit issues for me.

Stats for reference: FOT, centre full, close & low set, soft tissue, short & narrow roots, and projected.
Look:
This is an adorable baby pink CHP bra (3HC), with lace on the top edge of the cups and is adorned by an big bow with silver gem charm. It is very pretty and kind of makes me feel like a sweet princess. ... It is super soft and comes with cookie holders and pads for uneveness.
Fit:
This is my first Ewa Michalak bra so I was super duper excited about trying it! However, judging my other's measurements I must have gotten unlucky with mine because the band on this bra stretches to be 30F rather than 28FF. I can wear it on the tightest hook (although still feels loose) and it gives amazing cakes-on-a-plate style cleavage with a visible cleavage line (by line I mean the look some can get from Freya decos). The side profile is very round and projected. I'm thinking that the lower gore and cup might contribute to better fit since I have short roots. The gore could be narrower/ overlapping for a better fit but works well nonetheless. This is also the first time I've had in-built cookies... it does work well to balance uneveness but I'm not a big fan of the slight cookie 'imprint' on the outside of my cups (not super noticeable but worth potentially not bothering with getting cookie holders if given the choice of alterations in the future).

Thanks for a detailed and thorough review! They're getting to be hard to come by on here, so I'm happy to see more people posting them. They're SUCH an important resource for us all!
m sorry you had your first EM flop :(. Their bands are notoriously inconsistent. Some 28's fit like 24's, some fit like 30's, and some 30's fit like 28's. Someone on here ordered 65F's and ended up with bras that fit like a 50GG! Also, I think the cleavage line you're referring to is called "buttcrack cleavage".
marilynne No problem, thank you :) Fingers crossed for my next EM! Do you know if the cups can also be inconsistent or is it usually just the band? 'Buttcrack cleavage' is exactly the word I was looking for!

So I found a nice two birds, one stone solution for my slipping straps and projection problems. When I tighten the straps to where they slip less (although they all slip to some extent), either they dig in and hurt or they squash my boobs and that hurts. This is all compounded by the straps all being so wide-set for ... my frame, since balcony styles are the only ones that don't majorly quad and at this size, they're all so wide. So I've just been leaving them as loose as I dare. But I found some racerback clips and bra strap holders, and so far I haven't had to pull my straps back up once (I was doing it literally every five minutes or every time I moved before).
They're pretty low-profile. I don't notice the holders at all. They're pretty easy to get on. They attach to the straps on either side and then there's a little clip that opens in the middle. It's a bit fiddly, but once you get used to opening it, it's okay. I'm able to reach up behind my neck to clip it, but for someone with limited mobility, it would be possible to clip it before you put on your bra and slip it over your head (I tried this as well). The only thing is that you have to have it in the right spot before you put it on, since it's very, very hard to move it once you're wearing the bra. It held everything nicely in place without too much tension, and I had it tightened as much as I could. Normally when I tighten the straps, it pulls flat over my boobs, so my boobs are squashed and quadding, and then because the shape is wrong, the sides will feel loose. If I don't tighten them very much at all, the sides will feel even more loose. With the holders, my boobs didn't hurt, and the sides of the cups fit perfectly even though they're a tiny bit wide for me.
The clips are noticeable, but they're not uncomfortable as long as they're in the right spot. They're much trickier to get on, though. I wasn't able to put the clip on and then slip the bra over my head; it brings in the straps way too much no matter how high/low I positioned it, and I had loosened the straps as far as they would go before I tried this. It's doable to put the clip on one strap, put on the bra, and then reach behind you to get the other in, but it's uncomfortable, makes the clip a little bulky as the straps may not sit right, and won't be possible for everyone. I also tried it by putting on the bra, attaching the clip to one strap in the front, and sliding it back to clip at the top. This was still a little tricky, but much easier. However, once the clip is on, I really had trouble sliding it down where I wanted it to be, and when it's up higher, it can put a little more pressure on my shoulder/neck, so I'd like it a little lower.
Either way, I'm more comfortable, my straps aren't a nuisance, and, although this was not the goal, my bras do feel like they fit better. The gore seems to be tacking better and staying in place, instead of tilting out. I think I have an omega shape going on, so I often get a little gap where the straps meet the cup, and that seems less noticeable now. It feels like my breasts are more able to keep the shape they want to be, instead of getting squashed down or to the side like they do when I can't get enough depth (you know, where a crease forms because they're pushed to the side so far that they're essentially trying to fold). I know the band is supposed to give most of the support, but at a UK 32K, I find that my bands have to be incredibly tight to give me the support that I need, to the point where my ribs hurt a little when I take it off, and the bands just loosen over the day anyway. This seems to be helping the band do its job without offloading that weight onto my shoulders.
So I'd recommend either the holders or the clips to people with strap slipping/wide-set straps and/or issues finding enough projection in large cup sizes. Obviously they won't work for everyone (and I'd be careful if you have serious neck/shoulder issues or are prone to related tension headaches), but I'm actually able to ignore my bra now instead of adjusting it constantly. I'd also caution that if you have low-set breasts and really need the strap length, the clips probably won't be comfortable, as they really do eat up a huge amount of the strap length. The holders would be better for that.
(Side note: I did have to adjust my bra once, and when I reached down to do it by tugging the gore a little, I felt air, so I looked down and realized that my hand was a good inch and a half away from the gore, which was sitting just about flush with my sternum. The muscle memory had me reaching for where the center of a bra normally sits on me, which, I now realize, was incredibly far away!)

Nice! I’m working on being able to use the holders and clips too. My reach backwards is not super great anymore, but I know I can figure out a workaround if I mess with it enough. Aren’t they great? Helps so much!
dagmarwulfe, it's so nice when such a little thing makes such a big difference.
After seeing Calluna 's scottie on her, I HAD to have one. Sadly, this one didn't work and I'll have to pass it on to someone else.
My stats for reference:
5'3, 28GG, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.
Look:
This bra is so cute! I was worried that it would look ... too much like "Slutty Schoolgirl" and not enough "Sophisticated scottish patriot (lol)". I couldn't have been more wrong, this bra looks even more beautiful in person! It's covered in like a stretch-modal type plaid fabric that's super soft, you can definitely tell where the few extra zloty went.
Fit:
Sadly, I can't say much about the fit as it didn't fit. It runs true to size as a 60, unlike Comexim's other fabric covered band bras. The cups may be slightly shallower than other plunges. The straps are very long, so this bra could easily accommodate someone taller or lower set than me.
Conclusion:
This bra is perfect, it's just not my size. I'll be ordering it in a bigger size, 60K or 60L. I'll have to do some research to choose. I'll write a much longer review once it comes with the matching bottoms and garter.

Oh man, I apologize for taking so long to start these reviews! I'm moving at the end of the month, so things are a little hectic right now. Anyways, I've had the opportunity to wear this bra a couple times now, so let's get into it. Luckily, it's the standard cut, so there's not a whole lot of weirdness going ... on (we'll save that for my new Basic lol)
About me: 26FF ish, dense tissue, narrow and tall roots, evenly full/functionally FOT.
PS!! Click on the link for this bra's info for all my pictures.
I believe this is the standard cut of Scottie in 55J. Four rows of hooks which is nice. It's a tad snug, as you can see by the measurements, but is relatively comfortable after a couple hours' wear. The band is at risk of becoming too tight after several hours, depending on my activity level. If I'm sitting on the couch all day, it's uncomfortable, but if I'm up and moving around, it's fine. The wires are a great width and the gore is a good width and height for me. The cups are a perfect volume, although the padding/fabric is a little thicker and stiffer than my other Comexims, so it gives a slightly more peaked appearance than my others (excluding my new Basic lol). I'm almost positive the shape will soften up over time. I mentioned this to marilynne today, but we have a hunch that the newer Comexim styles are cut slightly different than the old-school styles. I definitely feel like my Scottie is more balconette-style than true plunge style like my old Basic. The newer ones seem to have a slightly higher gore and a straighter neckline than my old Basic.
The briefs: Size Small. I suppose they're similar to like a boyshort cut, but a bit less coverage. My butt is definitely bottom-heavy, and the elastic cuts right through the middle of my cheeks, horizontally. It's an awful look lmao. The size is right, but not the shape. I'm keeping them because I aspire to someday make them into a thong style, which I've never done before, but even if I mess them up it's no worse than the state they're in right now. So yeah!
TL;DR: Band is a little snug, cups fit well, a tad pointy, feels more like a balconette than a true plunge. The briefs are cut like boyshorts, which doesn't work for me.

Thanks for the review! I'm really wondering why they changed the cuts. I LOVE my "vintage" plunges, I'll be so sad when they wear out and I can't replace them 😢.
I'm sorry the bottoms didn't work :(. I have a bottom-heavy butt too, I've ordered all of my comexim bottoms as thongs and they work like a champ. Good luck altering the bottons into a thong!
This bra seems to be popular here lately, lol! I adore my Scottie. It's starting to pile a little bit after a year of occassional wear, but nothing that a clothes shaver can't save.
I wonder if the difference you're perceiving is that they have been doing a classic plunge instead of their deep plunge. They used to differentiate in their listings between the regular plunge vs deep plunge. The deep plunge was definitely plungy-er in the past compared to this.
Anyways, it looks great on you! Too bad the bottoms cut in, but good luck converting them!
