Rather randomly I decided to go check out a specialised lingerie shop not too far from where I work.
It reminds me of shops in rural South-African towns, half shabby, half flimsy. But the lady is nice, and she stocks bras that might fit me and she can alter bands for me.
I told her I usually wear a 32D in ... the narrowest models I can find, and still find them riding up to funny places. Or falling down to funny places. If it's padded, you end up with an ultra long boob which appears more or less like your grandma's does at age 86.
(LMAO... ADHD sometimes is a blessing because now I think of the manic elderly lady I saw in terms of work.... the manic elderly lady whom I saw prancing out of the police cell butt naked after she put the summer dress she was wearing -not summer AT ALL- in the toilet in the police cell. Funny, in a very sad way, but she's being taken care of now)
Anyway. She hooked me up with two 30E's, had me try on a 28F I think which had the wrong cup shape, and she's going to alter the band of a 32 with a good cup size and fit for me to somewhere between a 28 and 30. If the Freya 30 I got (half cup) doesn't hold shape, I can take it for her to alter.
But here's the thing that puzzled me: no DD. Not in Freya, not in Fantasie... not in Ulla but I wouldn't expect that as most EU brands don't use double lettering.
In Freya it didn't seem like she was just missing a cup size, in another brand there WAS a difference between DD and E. So now I am grandly confused.
Edit: I just checked a webshop: no DD in many Freya models either?

Aside from their fitting, I really like the idea! :D I'm not American, nor do I live in the United States, but I think it'd be awesome for women living there! :D Sure, they wouldn't have the best size range to start off with, but A LOT of women could be helped if JOCA were to start! :D
There's also the "real women have curves" sentiment, which does not excite me.
