Sculptresse Bellise
I was just so excited to see that I am the first person to add measurements for the Bellise bra That's rare!
Also, it's gorgeous, but quite shallow next to the center gore

It's here it's here it's here! I've been lamenting how late in the game I got into this bra fitting thing - all the bras I like seem to be way out of season (cleo sadie, pistachio deco, practically all the soft cup EM's, etc). I managed to find an Edina longline on ebay, but it was an AUCTION instead ... of a buy now, and I had exams and I was so sure I was gonna lose it. But I didn't, and now it's here! This is my first longline bra. It feels... weird, like someone else is holding me upright. I think I like it.

I felt that way when I first started wearing well-fitting bras, too! I too love the pistachio deco, and I was also too late for it :( I also just barely missed out on the Nieve (another longline).
I think part of this feeling comes from reading blog reviews, which for the most part are on bras that they already have (old season bras). Sometimes you can find a new bra with the same cut as the older styles, and it's ALMOST the same. :P
At least they're all coming out with cute new stuff all the time!
so this is really random and kind of creepy but i was totally just stalking your bratabase profile 'cause i was thinking about getting a strapless toffi, haha

I have a confession, which I believe to be a bit of bra blasphemy: I bought the Panache Sports bra and I do not like it.
I needed a second sports bra because I was tired of calculating when I could exercise based on when I had time to wash my Freya Active and how long it would take to dry. ... Given all the rave reviews I've read, the only thing keeping me from buying the Panache was that it's not machine washable. But when I found the pink (my favourite colour) for a good price, I went ahead and ordered.
Well...
The band doesn't feel as supportive as the Freya, even though the hooks & eyes are pulling- in fact, they're pulling so much that after wearing it for a few minutes in my bedroom the lowest hook on the loosest row is coming out! This has never happened to me on any bra.
Moreover, there are only 3 rows of 3 hooks & eyes, compared to Freya's 4 x 4.
I had to tighten the straps most of the way right away- with Freya I'm still a third of the way after 7 months. Despite this, Panache doesn't reduce bounce as much as Freya. In fact, I planned to run in it the day it arrived, but ended up ditching it for the Freya. I wore the Panache the following day for a ballet class, and while it didn't bother me in any way, I could definitely see my boobs bouncing in the mirror more than usual. The only way I really felt secure in the Panache was when I fastened the racerback hook, but then it cut into my shoulder in such a way that I experienced instant, acute neck pain.
The bra is very bulky- I was shocked by the size of the package when it arrived, it takes up more space in my cupboard than any other bra I own, and wearing it under a top feels like "too much bra". It also makes my boobs look bigger than the Freya does, and when I'm doing any kind of sports I prefer a more minimized profile. Sure, the side silhouette is rounder than the Freya, but it's a sports bra, so I don't really care. Shirt off, I far prefer the look of the Freya. Also, as a lover of everything pink, ever, this was the first time in my life that I've thought "OK, this is too much pink for me". A black accent anywhere on the bra would have improved the look immensely, IMO.
Not only is it not machine-washable like the Freya is, it's also much more difficult to hand wash, and dries more slowly.
I know the Panache Sports bra has been pretty much universally praised in the bragosphere, so I just wanted to point out that it isn't the bra for everyone. I'll be sticking with Freya Active from now on- bring on new colours!

I'm not a big fan of the Panache sports bra either!
Here's me wearing it in 28E:
http://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache/sport-5021/28E/
28F:
http://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache/sport-5021/28F/
28FF:
http://www.bratabase.com/browse/panache/sport-5021/28FF/
I guess you can see which girl is me in the 28F and the 28FF, wearing both in pink and I have a birth mark on my shoulder :P That's prettyNpetite's signature mark :P
I found the shape to be totally incompatible with mine. The wire width was great in the 28E but far too small in cup depth and cup height. The cup depth of the 28F was great but the vertical coverage was not enough and the wires were a little bit too wide for me. The cup height of the 28FF was perfect for me but the cup depth was too big and the wires were much too wide for me. Basically I'd need a hybrid-sized Panache sports bra if it'd ever fit me. I'd need the straps to be closer set as well, not a huge amount but still.
I really disliked the fact that it only had 3 hooks across 3 eyes as well, the Freya feels more secure and distributes the weight better. Besides the amount of hooks and eyes, I fancied the Freya's band much better in general because the fabric felt less bulky (thinner = more breathable) and more breath-acommodating, but that's not to say it was a bad amount of stretch. It's weird, because the Freya feels tighter but less restrictive. Weird. The Panache is excessively non-giving in my opinion, still it doesn't anchor to your body the same way... Jeez, this sounds really confusing and weird but I swear, that's how it is! (At least according to me) It's like the Freya's a tight hug and the Panache sports bra is a straitjacket trying to hold on as hard as possible, but using all of your strength for a looong time will only result in one thing; you'll get gradually weaker and you won't be able to hold on well later. It's really hard to describe but the Freya's like a smooth supporting hug where's the Panache one is the too-tight hug that looses intensity throughout.
I'm undecided whether I like the straps of the Freya's or the Panache's. The comfort is definitely higher in the Panache's, but it's maybe a tad too elastic, they're padded and they don't dig in as much as the Freya's. The Freya's are shorter and therefore more petite-friendly, but I wouldn't say that it's completely petite-friendly, you're making a bet because for me they are not short enough, but keep in mind that I have very full on top boobs that are high on chest, and that exacerbates how short I need my straps to be. A petite woman that has less full on top boobs than I do and maybe slightly lower boobs could *maybe* get away with this bra on the shortest strap length :)
I prefer the shape of the Panache's, definitely, but the shape of the Freya's isn't horrible, at least not if you're somewhere in the 28F-28FF territory or close to that. It'd be awesome if I could have a sports bra with the wires of the 28E Panache but higher, a mixture between the Freya and the Panache straps (the Freya could do with being a tad more padded), the high gore of the Freya Active, the band of the Freya with the amazing 4x4 closure and the smooth, thin cup material of the Freya's and the vertical coverage of the 28FF Panache.
Pretty much summed up my exact thoughts!
I bought one and put it up for a fitting request because I didn't care for the fit. I love how supportive the band of the Freya is...even though the bra I have is a cup size smaller than I usually wear :)

I have a few Freya Deco (4234)s that fit well and I love. I also have a Freya Piper Longline (1233) that fits well but is maybe just a touch small.
I want to order the Freya Hello Dolly Balcony Bra (1381) , but I really have no idea how a balcony bra should fit or what size to order. Is anyone really familiar with the brand? Could you offer some advice?

I am a Freya fan. I own a Deco in the same size as my other Freya bras, but I feel like I should have gone up a cup because it's a bit too shallow for my breasts. I have only tried on a longline in a sister size, so I can't speak to that style. I would order in a size that you wear in Freya now and also order from a site that has easy returns in case it doesn't work out for you.
I feel that the Freya longlines run slightly less than a cup size too small. Up until recently, I was a 30FF in Freya, and now I notice some of the bra's give me the slightest quadraboob. In longlines, 30G fits (aside from the darn center gore never laying flat).
Not sure if this helps at all... Depending on this, I would say buy it in the same size of your Piper longline. If that is a tiny bit too small, then I think a balcony in that size should fit well. Good luck.

I've seen this new brand mentioned a couple of times, but sadly noted it stopped at HH - but today I saw it on Bravissimo up to J? Hmm! I ordered it, so I guess we'll see if it's mislabled :/ Everything I've heard by the brand it self and bloggers say HH, so wondering when/if they added J?
I saw a comment by Tutti Rouge on Facebook confirming that only the Liliana bra goes up to a J cup. If the J cups sell, maybe they will consider expanding all the bras to a J cup?
As I understand it, they are looking to expand their range as far as it goes.
I really like the idea behind this bra, it seems almost like a polish construction and am curious to se what are the wires like.
I almost caused a blogger war saying that the bra looked somewhat low on Georginas review, but I would say the same about the girl modeling it for bravissimo. Let them sur me. She is fitted on the tightest set off hooks and the bra seems to be an inch under her root. Maybe it's the bra?
Anyway, can't wait to see it on you <3

I case there are fans of the Lepel Fiore Plunge here as well:
Lepel has changed the cut of its cups in the latest models and fashion colours, and they plan to keep this new style as their standard both in the fashion and continuity colours from now on.
This bra used to be a really good fit for those ... women with shallow breasts who need very wide wires, but now I wouldn't recommend it to any women with wide root shallow breasts anymore, because the cups come up higher and have a rather "closed" cut at the top now. (I'd still recommend the Fiore Balcony, though )
Here are some points from the reply we got from Lepel about the changes they made:
Apparently they've moved the apex of the cups over slightly to prevent rubbing and they wanted to ensure the bra no longer flattened but plunged as intended. There's more fullness to the cups now to give better shape and support.
Personally I think this is a shame because there are already tons of "plungey" plunge bras around that are closed at the top.

I agree, it'd be good to keep a plunge that's not so similar to all the others.
Oh, great, just as I was thinking I should perhaps try this brand.
I've come to realise there simply are no bras out there for breasts that are not 'round'. Really, there are none.

So, i did it! I placed my order for 4 bras + knicker sets
i am pleased, worried by the cost, and scared they won't fit / won't get to me on time (i have until 10th May and then i move until August, so if they don't arrive before i will have to wait!)
I ... took ages to decide on size; most of my UK bras are 30H, but i have lost weight and no my ribs get sore so i think that a 32 might be good. i went for a 70 because of that reasoning! Then i went for a J cup, guessing from the measurements on here and on the comexim site.
Fingers crossed!!! ekkkkkk..... i hope it's good, because my breasts touch in the middle and im hoping that the plunge will be better than higher gores from cleo

I am a fine art student, and yesterday, like every week, we had a cinema class (movie analyse, not how to make a movie yoursef).
We watched "L'apollonide, souvenir de maison close", a french movie about prostitutes in the begning of the 20th century. This film is very esthetic, contemplative, talks about human relations, society, money, power etc, a lot of ... things very interesting and serious. There is also a lot of "esthetic erotism", or maybe "visual erotism" i don't know how to call it, an erotism that come from the picture, not the action.
BUT
in my head, in each scene of nudity (and they are a lot !), I looked at the boobs and tried to figure out what was the breast shape, and what type of bra the actress needed..... I am totally contaminated by bratabase ! To add to the fun in my head, I was thinking in english ! I am frenh, I speack french, the movie was in french, no reason to think in english ! Unless, "full on top" or "shallow" or "wide set" sound better in english than in french because I learned theses terms in english.
So, when watching this movie, one level of my mind tried to analyse the movie, an other was my emotional reaction to it (and I was quite confused), the third level of my mind did virtual brafitting, and the last level tried to compare my own pair of boobs with the ones in the screen because I never can see real naked boobs in my life, and it is so hard to discribe myself without any references... Theses four level of mind in a mix between french and english. yeah, I am crazy !
So, now, I want to share it with you : (pictures show naked women bodies)
- http://files.movie-ink.webnode.pt/200000109-05910068a4/apollonide.png Let's call her Pauline, it is the name of the character. I think she is "wide set", "full on top" , "round", "deep" , "percky" and need bras like cleo zia ? maybe freya deco and balconnettes ? do you agree with this ? If you have a similar body, what is your best bra ? My body, is absolutely not shaped like this, so it is hard to specule what is good for her..
The long haired woman, (I don't remenber her name, maybe Lea ?) : broad base, shallow boobs and full on bottom ? Cleo juna for her ?
The taller woman in the corset : broad base, long torso, very shallow, skinny ribs I think. A only her plunge bra for her, with the +2 or +4 ? something else ? Her body type is rare in the bra blogoshpere, i don't know what to think about her....
the woman who help the other with her corset : shallow, broad base, and "balanced" (full on top and bottom)? cleo juna, and all the half cups with vertical seams ?
the big busted woman with the necklace : close set breasts, full on top (?), deep. An ewa michalak bra for her ?
the "golden dancer" : shallow, wide root, full on bottom ? she looks very similar in size and shape with me, so i am VERY interested in how you would discribe her breasts shape, and what bra can be good. Bras that works the best with me (and maybe her) for now : shock absober multisport, ewa michalak 3d, curvy kate trill me (altered in the center gore) and ewa michalak PL.
I just want to say I am absolutely not an expert in breast shape, so my suggestions is only guess after seing boobs in bras, and read blog posts and bratabase adventures. I will be very interested to have your opinion in the shape of theses ladies !

First off, I love this movie! I don't think that Pauline is full on top. I agree that she is round and perky and that her breasts are quite separate. The one thing that strikes me about the long haired woman is that her breasts sit quite low on her torso. The woman with the necklace is the closes to my shape, but deeper and narrower. She's close-set, touching even.
This post is fun - very good idea, thanks!!
I agree with ohmyohmy that Pauline probably isn't full on top, and with most of your other observations, Galactica.
The taller woman in the corset, the woman who helps the other with her corset and the "golden dancer" could all wear (different sizes in) the usually recommended wide-root-shallow-breasts-bras, I think.
I'm quite sure that the taller woman in the corset's breasts would come up quite a bit if she wore a well-fitting bra :-). She might need very wide wires, though, so the OnlyHer plunge might not fit.

I hope it's okay to ask a question here...
But I have a black deco in a 32GG. Is fits on the tightest hook, but the cups are a bit too small. I tried a purple deco honey in a 34GG, and the cups are definitely too big (and the band of course).
Is the black deco by any chance a ... bit smaller than the nude deco? Cause I just need a 32GG with just a bit bigger cups, not anywhere near a whole cupsize. I hear black bras are sometimes tighter, so I figured a different colour might be just a tiny tad bigger than the black... Anyone knows?

I don't know about the nude but my black deco is noticeably smaller than my deco honey in purple
Ah okay. Maybe I should exchange the purple deco honey (34GG) for a 32GG and see how it compares to my black 32GG...

I have a tease me in a 30H. The band is loose and the cups small. The worst thing though, is those crazy wide set straps. They are mega painful!!
But I had a chance to try a thrill me 30HH. And while the band is still loose-ish, the cups are fine, and the straps are fine!, woot?
Have they ... changed the strap position on the (newest) thrill me as opposed to the tease me?
Cause I had actually decided there was no point in trying more curvy kate (showgirl range) since the straps were so ridiculous. But I'm so confused cause the thrill me is so comfy and well fitting, though there's a lot of jiggle on top of the cup, but my boobs stay in the cup, they don't fall out when I bend over at a 90 degree or more angle. The worst part of that the ruffle shows so much under clothes. And the gore should tack more, it would be more supporting, but it's not floating or anything...

Nice! :)
Pics? :)
The Thrill Me was discontinued. So it could just be that the Thrill Me has narrower straps than the Tease Me?

Good to see it fitted! I admire 34+ band size companies from afar and I just marvel at the engineering that goes into that.
Mine is on the way in 36J. I went for my Andorra size. I must admit I didn't like the look of it at all when seeing it on the models, but it was the only one available in a J cup so. When seeing it on you however I do think it's pretty. So now I anticipates it more.
It does look as a bra on which a gore alteration might come in handy. As you say it really does look shallow near the gore.
I think that's the typical plus size bra cut? However I might be good off in it because I seem to be separated at the bottom. Hard to tell just yet since there are migration going on there.
It does look shallow in the cut. I hope it will be like Ariza on me :)
