I just want a comfortable bra!! I have bras that seem to fit. Band is snug, doesn't ride up and doesn't feel too tight. My breasts are enclosed in the cups, they don't spill out and the cups don't gap. If I try a larger cup, my breasts seem to slide around in the center of the cup and don't ... get lifted. A larger band size is too loose and slides up or down in the front (even if the cup is too big).
So I have found bras that fit in the band and the cup and ones that are open enough so they don't cut in to my upper breast tissue. But the straps! Oh the straps... They annoy my arm/area where shoulder-armpit-chest meets. On other bras it's the part of the cup just behind the strap, from strap to wire basically. The wing is not too high and the wire does not dig in, but from where the wire ends and to where the strap is attached, the fabric isn't "curvy" enough. If that part was more of a curve and less of a straight(-ish) line, there wouldn't be a problem.
I'm recovering from a long term illness and I haven't worn bras a lot for a long time. So I'm probably also extra sensitive. Wrong size bras (too big band, too small cup) give me a lot of back pain, but I have no pain at all when not wearing a bra. I often hear or read that a correct bra will help eliminate the back pain on can have from the larger breasts, but my breasts don't cause any pain at all. I just wish I could find a bra that was comfortable and looked nice, gave shape and uplift.
I have wide-rooted, shallow, semi-firm, full on top breasts that sit quite close. My shoulders are probably "normal" width and I don't have a problem with straps sliding of them since they sort of go "up" instead of sloping more down.
I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel so wrongly shaped and like I just have to live with the discomfort. I know I have to get more used to wearing bras again, but I really can't stand the itchy feeling and the cutting straps. I also find it hard to find bras that give enough uplift and don't just "hold" them up. They often lift enough from the bottom, but then there's too much fabric in the apex (so my breasts just kind of lie there(too deep cup)) and at the same time the upper edge of the cup cuts into my breast tissue that seems to continue until 2-3 inches below my collarbone. And almost everything seems to give a pointy shape and I just can't take that. I feel so gross when they get pointy and separated.
I just really want to be able to wear something nice without feeling like going into hysterics due to feeling uncomfortable.
