Original problem
Incorrect Size
I'm new to the bra fitting, and I've never had one that fit. I've been fitted by mall workers and was always told I was wearing the right size. When my breasts got bigger I went from a 36DD US to 38DD US trying to compensate cup size. During the day the back really rides up so it is under my shoulder blades but I assume that is from the large band?
I was looking to get opinions on what size I should try? I tried calculating my measurements in multiple sites. I was recommended Uk 34J / US 34M the most. Any brands that are recommended to be true to size? I apologize for being lost in the new world of bras!

helpfulYup, I agree with dbmamaz . THis one is riding up because the band is way too big for you, that's correct. But you really don't need a 34J. Your lying down breast perimeter is (for most fuller busted people) a decent indicator of cup depth needed, and at less than 12" perimeter, you would actually be great in a 34G or GG in many bras.

helpfulI'm not sure who recommended those cups sizes to you. For example, a Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) in a 34J has a cup depth of around 14.8 inches, much too big for your perimeters of 11-13.8. A 34H has a depth of 13.2, which I would think would be a better start.
If you prefer molded bras like what you have, I think they tend to run small? Like Curvy Kate Curvy Kate Daily Boost (CK1801) in a 34H is only 13.1 depth - ok, thats not much smaller - but it looks like its for a shallower (more spread-out) breast shape.
I used to wear Olgas ages ago!!

helpfulThe best way to start figuring out your real shape is to simply order bazillions of bras to figure out what works are what doesn't. Amazon has free shipping and returns so it's a great place to start. I would try a 34H or 34GG to start. Check out all of the shape guides etc to figure out whether you're fuller on bottom or top. It looks to me like you might be FoT, but I can't be sure with the moulding in this bra. Freya Deco might be a good place to start as its pretty similar to a "normal" bra you might have had. Anything unpadded/lined will help us better diagnose fit. Good luck on your bra fitting journey!
