Issue resolved
I guess I do need a bra with narrower wires, as I'm finding they really are very far back from my breast tissue in this bra (and all my other Cleo bras). I'll move on to the confusing world of trying to understand Comexim sizing. O.o
I will be keeping this one, as it does work worlds better than the more ill-fitting bras I had previously.
Original problem
I don't think that I have any specific issues with this bra. However, having worn bras that were very different in fit and support for many years, I'm just thinking maybe I need an extra set of more knowledgeable eyes about the fit of this bra.
The band hooks on the loosest setting and is not too tight or uncomfortable. The wires do not dig in and the gore lies flat against me. Basically, for ~10 years I only wore Lane Bryant's Cacique "balconette" style bras, most recently a 38G, since December. After some weight
loss, I'm now a 34G and I have found un-moulded/padded bras and I'm in awe of the difference and the lack of pain from the extra boning all of my old bras had and I love the difference, but I wondered if I'm missing something. Wondered if it's one of those "if it feels to good to be true, it probably is" deals.I know I need to add a back shot. I will see if there is any way to get a clear shot myself tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

helpfulWell, I am sure you are right that it fits WAY better than your old bras. When you are way more comfortable, that is certainly an accurate measure of improvement!
This being said, I think you probably would get an even better fit in a cup that is at least slightly narrower and deeper. The wires on this look quite a bit wider than your breast root , and the cups are a bit shallower than your breast shape, which is quite projected. That's why the cups are sort of pushing your boobs outwards laterally, towards your arms, instead of letting them sit out to the front.
I'm not saying it's not wearable, though. If you feel good, and are happy with its appearance under clothes, it's certainly worth keeping for now.

I know it's frustrating! In the olden days there were stores that would fit you in every town, more or less... now retailers are so hard to find if you are not close to a big shopping center.
Yes, wide or narrow roots are defined relatively--just like wide or narrow feet, we think of a wide root as "wider than most people with this size of breast" and narrow is "narrower than most." For example, most people would say I have a narrow root because my breast perimeter is 11" and my root is something like 5" wide. Most people with similarly sized boobs would have a root that is at least 5.5", so I'm an outlier.
It's extremely unusual for breast tissue to end BEFORE the armpit crease/outer edge of the torso, so the fact that your boobs extend that far really doesn't make your root particularly wide; that's fairly average. In fact, if you have a good separation between the breasts, it may mean that your root is slightly on the narrow side; for ideal fit, you'll want a wider gore, good depth and cups that are not too wide.

Oh ok. Thank you! See I was thinking wide as toward the outside instead of toward the inside. That makes a lot of sense now. Not even noon and you've given me my "lightbulb moment" of the day lol.

helpfulYour bra cup looks too small, possibly by just one cup size, but the underwire also looks too wide, hard to tell with that because of the cup being too small though.
When i wear a cup too small i get the crease at the top near the armpit as well, usually a telltale sign cup is too small.

Thank you for your quick reply and advice! Since it is a print from last season they don't have it one cup size up and the price was much under regular price and the fit concerns aren't nearly as bad as those with my much larger bras, I quill keep it for the time being. I do have some more bras on their way though and hopefully UPS gets them here tomorrow. I have a Cleo Kali in 34GG & Freya Rio in 34GG. Are either of these comparable in style, and therefore similar enough that the step up in cup is an actual step up? I hope I'm wording that well.
I also have a Cleo Neve plunge in 34G on it's way but I suspect (after a Cleo Jude I bought at a great price on eBay fit poorly) that it's not going to be such a great fit on my shape and tissue type. But I'll definitely try it on.
Also I think I'm having some confusion on how I would describe my shape, density, tissue qualities, etc. vs. the terminology that's used here and in the bra world, so I think when it gets here I'll post a fit question to get a good set of answers so I can accurately answer the measurements forms and read the suggestions and reviews on what bra fits which types best.
Thanks so much for your input!

I am not familiar with those other bras, but I do suggest you check out Bras I hate and Love's blog. She is a fellow FOT and her blog is very, very informative. Helped me a bunch! Also reddit/a bra that fits was helpful with me for figuring out other things such as root height/width.
Much luck on your bra fitting journey!

helpfulThank you both for your suggestions.
After trying the feature to search measurements, and the advanced search, I'm not finding anything here with a narrower wire that isn't significantly smaller in both the band and the cup. SO, either 6 inches is about as narrow as it gets in a 34G, or the search feature is malfunctioning for me.
Also, after yesterday's box finally got here, I was very surprised with the fit of not only the plunge bra, but the 34GG bras. So while my boobs will now actually be all the way in a cup without the left one awkwardly spilling just a wee bit out, the wires are even wider. I'm not quite sure what to do, but they do still fit better than what I was dealing with before.

Thank you for your reply, I'm sorry I'm just now seeing it. I think I'm beginning to figure out the different ways to see bras with similar dimensions vs. bras that fit people with measurements similar to mine on here, and I'll try to look at some of those and maybe next try out one with a narrower deeper cup. The cups don't necessarily feel too wide on [ETA - I'm not sure how to determine wide root vs narrow root as that seems like a comparative label and I have nothing to compare against honestly, but the point at which my breast tissue starts is at the side/outer edge of my chest - touching my upper arm if my arms are down at my sides] but I can definitely see what you mean about being not deep enough.
I have a few more which I hope to receive tomorrow. I just checked the measurements and it doesn't seem like it will be any improvement unfortunately, but at least I have free return shipping, and I will have a little bit more to go off of. I'll try them all on and take pictures and try to review them when I get a chance, and if there are any I'm iffy on I'll do a separate specific fit post. It's just becoming a bit disconcerting at this point ordering, waiting, not fitting, sending back, reordering, waiting for my package to be received back, waiting on credit, etc. repeated 3 times. Of the 6 I've bought, one has worked.
I ordered a Cleo Kali (I can't get that one to link) in a 34GG and while it is a bit deeper in the cup (.8 inches), the cup is also wider. Also, a Freya Rio (3510) in the same size has a half inch wider cup width than my current bra and 1.3 inch deeper cup. I think that's probably due to it being more of a "full coverage" style though, and I think that will make my mind up against it as soon as it's on.
Also coming is a Cleo Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196), but after trying on an older style similar bra (a Cleo Jude (5846) ) that I bought on ebay, I'm fairly sure this one won't be working out well enough to keep. I just do not think that I have the anatomy for this shaped bra.
