Bra fitting help » Gore feels slightly to wide, straps too far apart. Recommendations?
Cleo » Lucy Balconnet Bra (5851) » 32F 32:7
Issue resolved
I need a different cut all together. Something with more central straps.
Original problem
This bra is the best fit I have found so far. One of my breast is FOB with less projection, one is even with more projection. I hve narrow shoulders and the straps dig into my arm pits. Otherwise the bra fits good. I need suggestions on other bras that might fit.

helpfulHave you tried 32E or 30F in this same bra? Between the length of this band and the facts that (a) the cups actually measure deeper than your own breast perimeter (most people do squish down a bit so optimal fit will be found with a cup that measures a little bit less than the boob itself), (b) the straps are too far apart, and (c) the gore is too wide, at first blush I would say it just sounds like a too-big bra. The straps are all the way in your armpits--that is definitely not how a bra ought to fit in the optimal size.
If you said you had shallow or wide boobs I'd say try a different style but instead you appear to have narrow roots and a rounded shape so Cleo ought to be at least an OK fit in many models.

Your frame isn't super narrow according to your measurements, do you have sloping shoulders perhaps? If it is not a cup size, band size issue of the bra itself being too big, and you truly have a build that causes straps to be usually to wide-set for you, you will need to either learn to alter your bras, or else confine yourself to styles with more narrowly placed straps. All these balconnet styles have straps placed at the outer corner of the cups in order to present an appealing expanse of cleavage--which is fine as long as your frame is wide enough for the straps to be properly positioned, but otherwise it's a nightmare. Full cup and other non balconnet styles usually have straps that are positioned more centrally on the cup and are therefore closer together.
My own frame width is 11in exactly and I have this issue occasionally, but never as bad as what you seem to be experiencing, which is why I was wondering about the bra itself being the wrong size.
If you want feedback on the fit and size of this bra in order to get a sense of other sizes to try, I'd advise you to post more pictures following the bratabase guide--the ones here don't really allow us to see what the cup fit is for example. We can see there is no quadboob but that's about it.

I will try take better pictures. Maybe its's partly that I'm used to wearing Victoria's Secret bras. The balconette style and even wearing a bra with zero padding is very different for me. I updated my measurements. Some of them I did wrong and I was weaning from breastfeeding with my first measurements.

No I don't think your perception of the straps is wrong--they are definitely all the way in your armpits! I also think you should be able to find better uplift than this, either by changing size or looking for a different model altogether.
Posting more pics will definitely help get more feedback.

helpfulI took some more picture. I don't feel like the lift is stellar. I have a few bras on the way. A Parfait Charlotte in 30G, a deco in 32E, and a Panache Emily in 32F. Hopeing to find something that fits. After looking in the mirror I think I might need a 30FF in the Cleos.

helpfulI have a narrow frame and the balconet styles can have the straps so wide that it chafes with any arm movement. For this reason I avoid many balconets in favor of centered straps.

helpfulHi! I just uploaded a photo of the cleo lucy in size 32E. Seems, you and I have quite similar boobs, so - I think you should try the 32E.
For me the cleo lucy also is the favourite bra.Updated on September 18, 2014 Flag this
I seems like every style I have tried that is a UK or European brand have the problem with the straps being too wide for my shoulder width. I haven't tried a 30F or 32E. But I feel like the cups do fit. Unfortunately I only have access to online shopping and have a tight budget. I've been trying bras that are clearance, used or from ebay. I was wearing a 34DD in Victorias Secret or Fredericks of Hollywood. I had a fitting at Fredericks and they came up with 32F(32E UK) but those did not fit. They were painful and too small. Maybe a 30FF might fit better :/
