I think I need to try a bigger size to really see if this is a size mismatch or not.
Original problem
I'm trying to figure out what shape I am. I tried some projected bras to no avail, so I figured I was probably on the shallower side. So I decided to try this Natori feathers.
Everything feels great for softness and nothing is poking. I feel as if it doesn't quite cover all of me, but I have no quadboob or cutting in anywhere. I'm unsure if I'm just unused to less coverage. Also, there are weird angles at the bottom of the bra. Does this mean I'm too projected for this bra? Do I need to size up to a 30DD? Or is this just an expected thing that happens with some bras?

This is just way too small. It's not a high coverage bra, but the fact your breast can't settle anywhere near the base of the cup, the misalignment of cup apex with your own natural breast apex, the fact there is SO much of the breast uncovered, indicates this is too small for you--even if we didn't have the help of measurements to tell us an 8.3" boob isn't gonna fit a 6.5"-ish cup
Size up to a DD at least if you like this style and see how it fits. It's shallow as a style, but not dinner-plate-level insanely shallow, so it's worth looking to see how it fits you in a cup volume that is more realistic for your actual breast size!Updated on November 17, 2017 Flag this

helpfulI totally agree with the above comments. You could try taking the wires and put them directly under the breast in your IMF, and I think that will help you see that this bra is definitely too small for you!
I was also curious how you felt about the wire width in comparison to your breast root.
Also another thing to look at, do you usually wear your bras as low on your torso as this one is? When putting on bra you need to make sure the wire is directly under the breast in your IMF. When I first started trying on bras in my size, I didn't realize I had been wearing bras so far below my IMF and ended up having to push my bra about an inch further up on my torso.Updated on November 21, 2017 Flag this

helpfulIts a little hard to see, but it looks like you arent filling the bottom of the cup, probably because its too shallow at the bottom. The 'not covering all of you' is the point of a plunge - its supposed to show cleavage under low-cut tops. it also looks like the wires may come further out than your breast tissue, on the outside of the cups?
