Issue resolved
I decided to go down in the band and up in the cup since the bra was too big and riding up and causing discomfort under the wire
Original problem
horrible wire pain under the bust everything else seems to fit fine but everytime i wear this bra and every other bra in this size i get bad wire pain under the bust for the longest i thought the bra was just too tight

helpfulWell, first of all, I think the cups are too small. The wire looks like its sitting on top of your bigger boob, near the center? Which would indicate that the center gore is too wide for you
How far below the bottom of your breast is that red mark? Is the wire right where it should be, snug against the breast with the cup filled out at the bottom? Or is the wire a little bit lower than the bottom of your breast, with the cup maybe folding at the bottom, not being filled at the very bottom?
Do you have any bras that are more comfortable and fit?

idk, they just dont look like they fit quite right. Have you tried any Elomi?
I have a couple of bras where, if the wire hurts, I can move my bras toward the outer part of the cup, and shift the wires higher, and it fixes it - like my boobs were pushing down on the center of teh bra, and pushing it down in to my ribcage.

helpfulHi, I saw your other fit request and comparing the photos I think a 38 band fits you better, because the 40 one looks like is riding up a little bit, or it could be that you thightened the straps too much as a habit.
Are you sure you have separate boobs? Because they don't look that separate to me, which may be the reason why the gore is sitting on your breasts, it looks kind of large on you (although I'm not sure because it seems as if your bra is too much on the left side). I'm asking this because my boobs look separate too without a bra, but I just have a lot of inner fullness that makes them look like that. Try to support your naked breasts with your hands (up, not towards the centre) and see where the breast tissue actually starts.
As for the wires, maybe you need to wear the bra a few times to "break it in". It happened to me too when I started using 28 bands instead of 36/38s, I wasn't used to them! You can try bending the wires slightly outwards to see if they become more comfortable.
Also, you wrote that the wires are too high and poke you, so maybe they are too wide or too long for you. You can look on http://bustyresources.wikia.com/ to see which brands have narrow or wide wires.
Also, I read somewhere around here that there are brands that make softer underwires, so you could look into that if everything else fails!
I hope all this makes sense and that it helps you!Updated on June 30, 2016 Flag this
