best way to measure bras you don't own?

I've purchased a few for my mother and would like to measure them before handing them over, but clearly not mine and won't fit me.

What is the best way to go about this? Measure and mark as not owned? Or should I create a throwaway account for measuring stuff that won't fit me? It would be cumbersome to manage multiple accounts, but I don't want bras that aren't mine affecting my recommendations, either.

Thoughts?

  • Add them to your own account and when you're done, mark as not owned. If you don't mark the fit or put them down them as not fitting, they won't be used to recommend anything, except to let the system know what doesn't work for you. I think it also takes in individual measurements, so if the cup width fits you, even if the rest is wrong, it will take that into account, maybe. It's just a guess, I really don't know anything. :) But I've added bras that I don't own or don't fit me, and my recommendations haven't been messed up. Only good things come from putting more bras in the database!

  • Thanks. Wasn't sure. My mom is an actual 34DD. I know in general there's way more info on here about the larger sizes, so thought it would be good to add these. Just wasn't sure how it would affect me to put them in with my bras.
