Kris Line sizing weirdness

So I was aware that there were sizing challenges involved in the Polish brands in general and Kris Line in particular, but I was not expecting this... most blogs, etc. mention that KL bands are true to size or somewhat on the firm side, and that the cups run small. I also saw the occasional mention of an oddly stretchy band.

However, I just got my KL Diamond Semi Soft from the latest Zulily sale and it was CRAZY tight in the band, and unexpectedly large in the cup.

I'm usually a 32FF UK (70G/85G in Euro and French/Belgian sizing, respectively) so I ordered a 70G in Kris Line, thinking it should be the equivalent of a 32F/FF UK. I was actually worried the cups would be a tight fit. In fact, the band is 25" unstretched and I'm being generous in saying it can get to 29.5" when I stretch it like a psycho beast! As mentioned above the cups are much too big for me--ok in wire width, but even with the pads in my boobs barely reach above the padded portion, and the lace portion sits basically empty, wrinkling sadly.

Has anyone else noticed unusual sizing, either in this latest Zulily batch or from any other retail source?

To make matters worse I also noticed a very slight spot on the front of one of the cups. Blah. I can't imagine how it got there as I only wore it a couple hours (with a 3" extender) before accepting it was never going to be comfortable.

  • "True to size" does not exist, since it depends on what each person's past experience is. It just means that such bra is similar to their expectations.

We only have a couple of 70Gs ( 32:9 ) for Kris Line on the site but their measurements don't seem very consistent, both are near 25" unstretched and one stretches to 30" (Kris Line Selena Plunge ) which sounds like yours and the other to 34" (Kris Line Sheryl (6262) ) which could be a overly stretched case. I would not be surprised that this brand is highly inconsistent between seasons/models.

Taking a look at the 70s here shows a bit of variation but consistent with bring a particularly tight band if expecting a 32" ribcage fit.

What you mention about Zulily is also interesting, I don't know if this could be the case, but there have been bad batches of products that get sold separately to some parties and then resold super cheap on the wild, there's the case of the mislabeled Curvy Kate Portia/Princess that can be found on ebay.

  • Point taken about "true to size." I meant it in the context of what I had read on 4 or 5 full cup lingerie blogs by authors in/from the English speaking world who typically seem to think in UK sizing terms, so expecting a 70 to stretch to somewhat approach 32 inches, and referring to bras that are 2-3 inches tighter than their US/UK expected stretched measurement as being particularly firm or small in the band. I had seen the measurements here on the site but had not really considered the Selena Plunge since it's a contoured cup in a very different style. Obviously I was wrong to discount it!
