The Panache Porcelain fit me very strangely. It flattened me and looked like I was wearing two clamshells. Just as with the Panache Tango II Plunge (3256), the cups are much too far apart and too wide for this size. It causes the breasts to look low and to the sides -- a very unflattering look.

I did love the thin, pliable padding (just 1/8" thick), and really wanted to like this bra. Unfortunately after trying it in 2 sizes I had to give up on it (and Panache bras in general).

Purchased Spring 2010 from Breakout Bras.

    *** Update ***

I tried the Porcelain Lace bra (Panache 5726) in size 30DD and I am happy with it. You can see that review and photos here:

    Fits

This is my (almost) perfect go-to bra. I have one breast slightly larger than the other and the bra fits the larger breast, but since the cups are molded, there's no sagging of the fabric and you can't tell the size difference in my breasts once the bra's on.

This is a great basic everyday t-shirt bra. I find it has a minimizing effect on my breasts (which are large for my ribcage). It's not a sexy bra, but it is pretty comfortable. It is a full-cup bra, so (depending on how you fill out) the tops of the cups may poke out when you're wearing lower-cut necklines. The ... cups also may show up under your armpits in sleeveless tops, since they extend under the armpit and the underwires are rather high.

My breasts are wider-set and I have a lot of tissue underneath my armpits; the underwires contain that tissue. The cups don't push my breasts front and center as much as I'd like (and maybe that's not possible), but they do a decent job of it and give a nice (rounded, natural, not saggy) shape underneath clothes.

My one complaint is that the straps are wideset, so they're often not covered up by the shoulder straps of sleeveless tops, and since the straps are not very thin, they look a bit dowdy. I have narrow shoulders so the straps are forever falling off my shoulders (and I maybe adjust them to be a little loose for the sake of comfort). Since the straps begin so close to my armpit in the front, they sometimes chafe when I am moving my arms a lot, which can be irritating.

Overall this is a very comfortable bra; it doesn't pinch, poke, or smush and it isn't too tight in any places. I've been wearing it for a year and it hasn't stretched out (as far a I can tell) though the band is made of stretchy material. I still wear it on the loosest set of hooks. Two of the key reasons that it's lasted so long are: (1) I wear it in rotation with a few other bras, allowing adequate time (>1 day) for it to have a break from my body heat and retain its shape; (2) I hand-wash it once in awhile (probably not as often as I should though it's not visibly soiled) with a very gentle liquid soap for delicates that requires no kneading or rinsing ("Soak" ). I do not put this in the machine wash.

It's a workhorse bra that you can wear all day without discomfort and gives you adequate support and a nice shape under most clothes. I highly recommend this bra.

    Updated review 2/26/11:

Sized as an F (DDDD). Both the cups and the band run about a size too small. The fabric stretches very easily so that when the band is closed it pulls the cups to the sides resulting in quad-boob and an even smaller cup. That aside - the straps and cups are placed too far apart for a size 28.

What I do like about this bra:
The fabric is very soft and smooth. The color is great against my skin tone so it doesn't show very much through lighter shirts.

Contrary to some websites description of this bra, the foam cup is very thin. Almost less than 1/8", ... so there is some show-through if you're cold.

The cups and band are too small for me, and I was able to purchase in person a size 30F (DDDD). My review for that is here:
    http://bratabase.com/browse/panache/porcelain-molded-seamless-underwire-3376/30F/

***ETA: you'll notice on this bra that the center front looks a little closer than normal compared to other Porcelains. That is because I took it in a little over 1/4" so now the center front measures 7/8" instead of 1.3" as I have it listed as. It does help to bring the cups closer together, since that's what this needed, but the tops of the cups are just too shallow for me to wear it anymore and have a smooth line.

    • It is so wonderful to find someone of a similar bra size as me! I was actually thinking about trying this bra, but it sounds like your shape is very similar to mine, so I am not so sure. I found your review quite helpful.

I have a Freya Deco bra that fits me splendidly and is really comfy. It also doesn't have the demi-cup shape going on. Maybe you could try that style?

I am yet to actually write a full review for the Deco because I just got it and I'll try to finish it soon.

    • Thanks =) I guess we are very similar. I also ordered the Deco bra, it came in the mail last week, and it is my best fitting bra!

    Fits

Band is nice and tight, 28 almost feels 26, which is huge plus. My wide rooted breasts sit in nicely and pretty close together without big core cap in the middle. 28F version of this bra was good on the cups, but cups weren't wide enough - this 28FF proved to be great - anf the cups aren't stil too large. This is a bra that has more cup space beneath ribcage without bursting breast forward, but it does not make me look too flat chested. Cups sit all the way tightly even now when I've worn this more, not leaving empty space on the top as Freya Deco. Being fabric coated shoulder straps are so soft and this fits so well maybe I wouldn't need them at all.

Lacking variety in color and decoratives it might seem dull and boring for many, but I think that Porcelain is simple and classy and best of all, it feels soft and lightweight on.

  5. I really love this bra. I've been wearing the Porcelain for about three years now and it's become a staple in my underwear drawer, it makes a great t-shirt or everyday bra. One of the best fitting bras I've ever had. When I first tried this bra I got it in a 28DD but found the band was too tight for my liking, the 30 is much more comfortable but still giving firm support, no problems with the band riding up.

It's a perfect fit and very comfortable thanks to the soft and smooth material. The straps are narrow, separate and don't adjust short enough, but it's not an issue as most of the support comes from the band and cups. They did pinch a little after a long day, though only when I raised my shoulders.

The band feels considerably bigger than any of my 28's. I went straight for the tightest hooks. I tried the non-destructive center gore fix, but the wires started riding up and down my ribs with the slightest movement. For this reason I prefer bras that have an elastic band below the wires. If ... the band loosens up, I have to take in from the back too to keep the cups in place.

It does give a somewhat wide and bulky (minimizer-style) look with tight tops, but at the same time causes more bulging with buttoned shirts than any of my other bras. There's only a handful of clothes I can wear with it. I probably wouldn't buy again even if they expanded the size range.

    Didn't fit

This bra runs small in the cup, like the other Panache (and Cleo) bras I have. This fits a lot like my Jude Cleo -- I need a DD instead of a D (like with Freya) and even then I get slight quad boob because my breasts are "full on top." It's comfortable, though, and fits well enough. The band fits tightly enough on the loosest hooks (I have a 26" ribcage). It's not that pretty, but it will work well under sheer or light clothing (I bought it in white).

    Update:
Under t-shirts I could really see how poorly this bra fit -- the cups are way too small for me. Mesh Panache bras fit me fine in a 28DD, but I definitely need an E here. I plan on buying a beige bra to take the place of this bra.

This bra runs small in both band and cups--you'll need to go up a size. The cups are also unusually wide and shallow. This doesn't suit my shape, but it may be just right for others.

    • It says here that the bra fits you, although you mention it doesn't suit your shape?

    • Yes it fits in the sense that the band is tight enough to support, but not stifling, and I'm not spilling out the sides or the top. The cups are a little wide for me, though--in that sense it doesn't quite fit right.

  9. I've been wearing the 30D for a few hours now and it's a very comfortable bra. It gives me a great silhouette under fitted tops. The cup is the perfect height for me, zero gaping. It's made a genuine attempt at bringing my wide breasts forward. Straps are nice and comfortable. The band length is a little tight on me, i'm hoping it'll stretch out a bit over time. I do get a little side fat bulge.

    Didn't fit

Tried the 28F (DDDD) but the band and cups were too small, more so the band. My review for that size is here:
    http://bratabase.com/browse/panache/porcelain-molded-seamless-underwire-3376/28F/

I was able to find this 30F in Nordstrom and try it on. MUCH better fit!

I still have problems with Panache's fit and sizing. The cups are spaced a little too far apart, and they seem to run in between sizes. I have just a tiny bit of room to grow into these cups, yet the next cup size down (which I have been able to try on in 30DDD and 32DD) is way too small. It's not something noticeable though as far as ... gapping goes, so I'm keeping this size. What I do find odd though is there is less seperation (by 1/8") between the cups in the 30F as opposed to the 28F. Also, instead of there being a full 1" of difference in cup depth, there's only 3/4". The wires are a little tall in the center for the overall shape of the cup. I have a Victoria's Secret Cotton full coverage bra in a 34D that has the same exact cup dimensions as this, but the wires are shorter, more proportioned to the cup.

I wish this were made with a full band because it would have great support! But I don't get quad-boob in the 30F and it looks great under t-shirts. So now I know what size I need in Panache.

Overall, I like this bra, and this size fits a lot better! But I wish it would provide better support and lift. I'm still pointing down and out.
