Very comfortable fit. The lace is not itchy, and it stretches well. My only problem with this bra is that the cup attaches to the strap VERY high, so it will not be wearable under certain shirts. The plunge is nice, and the cups are supportive while the liner feels like the most comfortable tshirt you've ever worn.

Super flattering! This is probably my best-fitting bra to date. The band is a comfortable length. I have owned it for about two weeks and am currently wearing on the outermost hooks. I am 15 months post-partum and still nursing my son several times daily. The cups fit best when I am at my fullest. When I am not full of milk, there is some wrinkling in the lacy mesh part at top. The wires are wide enough to not dig into the edge of my breast, but outer edges of the cups dig into my armpit. The gore is a great width for my natural breast separation. The cups are lightly lined, but not padded. Plungy enough to wear with v-neck shirts, and easy enough to slip aside the cup for occasional brief nursing.

  3. All I can say is Wow! This is a wonderfully fitting bra. I have to say it's much prettier in person, as I wasn't very impressed by any of the images online. But it could be that the incredible fit is influencing me in some way. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> This bra would be good for shallow breasts with a wide and/or tall root. Largely invisible under shirts, and the narrow straps are perfect for tank tops. I'm really in love! This bra has a molded cup that's overlain by a stretchy mesh. The mesh is edged in a soft stretch lace. The wings are made of a very pretty lace, and I was surprised by the firmness of the band despite its stretchy material. The one drawback is that the lace edging along this cups is a little bulky, and is visible under some t-shirts.

So this is the bra I used to live in when I thought I was shallow. I know it's not recommended for projected breasts, but honestly I may not care. Theres about a finger width of space at the bottom of the cup between the wire and my IMF, and the bottom of the cup puckers a bit. Probably due to being too shallow so its pushed down a bit. But it's one of the few plunges I can get to work. The wires are also a bit wide on the side. Wear the top of molded portion sits near the strap pulls away a bit, but not ... terribly noticeably. I remember it being fairly comfortable, though I was wearing 34DD previously. I tried that on, and similar to my DD/E dilemma in the BMs, I can wear a DD, but I have to be very careful with the scoop and swoop or I end up falling out the middle. I may have to get both and wear them a bit to decided.

Reasons I'm thinking of keeping it despite it being top shallow include: it's still pretty comfy, its readily available in a variety of colors, unlike BMs I can wear it with sleeveless tops, it looks good under clothes.

Reasons I'm thinking of ditching it: now that I know better I'm definitely more aware of the lower wire placement being off (it's not uncomfortable but its noticeable), I may be better off in a 34DD after some settling (will have to wait and see), my eyes go straight to the bump/wrinkle in the bottom of the cup and it bugs me, even though others might not even notice!

    • So when measuring this I realized the band, even though its stretchy, really doesn't stretch much before the wires start warping!! Maybe I need to try a 36 band...

    • I have that same bra and color and the bottom of the cup doesn't have that shape. Definitely go for a different size. Sorry I can't say if it's cup or band. But ditch is my vote

    • 1

Because it's too shallow for me I get some degree of that empty space unless I go small enough to be spilling out. 🤷‍♀️ Just something I'll have to deal with if I stick with the bra!

    • I also really love the look of this bra, it sorta does the same to me (slides down). I think if you really like the style, then keep it. But there might be other options in a smoother cup you can try too that won’t slide down as much! Have you tried the Panache Cari? It’s still sorta wide, but maybe you will like the fit better!

    • 1

Cari.... is that a spacer bra? I tried a 36DD in store yesterday and it was better. Even though this band is stretchy is starts stretching the wires pretty quickly, so the fit is better with a bigger band I think. I'll check out the Cari! One of my fave things about this is the lace overlay helps hold down the molded part so it has a forgiving fit.

    • Yes, the spacer foam! I feel like it has more projection at the wire and it’s looks smooth under shirts. It can also be used racerback which is a good bonus. There’s also the Simone Perele 65F - Simone Perele » Caresse 3d Plunge Bra (12A316) This one might have less projection at the wire, but a bonus is that the gore is low. I’ve had mine for over a year and the bra looks great. Really good materials and straps!

    • I meant to say, the gore on the Simone Perele is lower and softer than the Panache Cari, so if you’re sensitive to that, you might prefer this one!

    • 1

braluv if my most common UK size is a 34E do you think the Simone Perele is true to size and I should try that size first? I found some on ebay for a decent price but wanted thoughts on sizing!

    • So Simone Perele has different sizing progression, it goes A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H (check it out here: https://www.bratabase.com/browse/simone-perele/size-range/ )

So technically a 34E UK (6th cup size), would be 34F. However, I do think they run a little big and I went down one cup size when I purchased mine (I've only tried two styles though, maybe someone else can give better advice). So I would say try it if you can return it!

What a great find! I tried this bra on a couple years ago before I knew what my real size was and was not impressed. After a fitting, I rediscovered this gem and I love it! Great for wide set shallow breasts, but the cup fits small, so size up! I am wearing a 30DDD and it’s perfect https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    32C

    Fits

Well, to my (kind of) amazement, this is my first Feathers bra to fit perfectly.
I recently went down about a cup or so, and I just had a feeling that a 32C would fit over a 32D. Luckily someone ended up listing this as a give away, because I've wanted to try another but I haven't wanted to risk spending the price that they retail for just to try one.
It also isn't feasible for me to just take a trip over to Nordstrom again just to size myself, as I've moved out into the boonies and I don't have my car/a parking spot at my new place. So, ... I'm super thankful that this popped up, and that it actually worked!

I did not want another 30 band in this, regardless of having tried a 32DD with a crazy big band that rode up; the 30 bands in these bras have been really uncomfortable for me. One even measured about 27-28" in a 30 band. In this one, I don't have any issues with the band riding up or digging in. I also don't have any of my previous issues with cup puckering on top or bottom. This bra has a width that actually works for me though, and the depth does also. I suspect that as the sizes increase, the bra gets more wide and shallow? Either that or I am becoming just a little more shallow.

As for the cup separation, it is still mildly too separate for my boobs, but not to the extent that it makes me quad at all. I am considering trying to sew it up to make the cups closer and give me an even better fit, but as of now, it doesn't bother me too much.
After trying on the Claudette Dessous in 30E, I did notice that I have lost a little bit of center tissue, so this could also explain why the cup separation isn't as problematic as I'm used to.

So about the bra, it has fully adjustable straps, a lace band, about 1.4" cup separation, 5.2" cup width, and I believe about 7.2" cup depth. The width and depth seem perfectly fine to me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_eek.gif" alt="o_O" /> This about matches my best fitting bras, which have 5-5.3" width and 7.3" depth, except they are very centered.
I'm happy, considering I've wanted this bra to work for so long.
The cups give a nice, rounded shape, and the mesh "sling" overlay on the cups is very comfortable where it hits on top.
I've been wanting a nice fitting black bra for a while, so I'm happy =)

    Edit:
After wearing twice I realized that the separation did start to make me quad throughout the day. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Ahh what a shame. I love the Feathers bra so much. I guess this is just another Claudette Dessous for me.
Maybe one day a narrow, close set, projected Feathers bra will be made. One can dream.

    Edit 2:
Just wanted to note that I altered the gore to make the wires overlap.
The bra actually fits MUCH better now, but I feel a bit insecure about my bigger, left side having so little coverage.
Think I ought to try this in a 32D or 30DD and alter the gore again, but for now this is the only thingcompatible with my lower tops.
I think, because of the shape and consistency of my breasts, I may just be compatible with various types of bras (shallow and narrow or projected and narrow), though obviously projected and narrow are closer to my original shape.
The Feathers in this size isn't wide like the others I've tried (30DDD,32DD), so keep that in mind

Glad you found what you were looking for! This was my first bra I got after I learned my correct size. I think you're right in that it does get wide and shallow as you size up. I have it in 30E, and it's pretty wide and shallow. I need to list it on here as I don't wear it anymore. Even in the wrong fit it was super comfy, I recommend it highly! Looks great on you :)

    • 1

I'm glad this worked out for you. I am wide and shallow and although on paper this bra should fit me...it doesn't. I so want a Natori Feathers bra to fit, I keep trying them on when I can find them saying, "maybe this time it will fit".

    • Flutershie Thank you! And yeah, I had the 30E as well and I loved it. Such a nice bra :)

@thelittleone Thank you :) Aw, yeah I understand that. I'm not supposed to work well with shallow + wide bras, but I wanted this and Chantelle C Chic to work so badly for so long :(
I'm glad I finally found something that works in this, but I don't think I'll ever have luck with the Chantelle.
Good luck in your search for one though! It's a tricky bra IMO

I typically only wear t-shirt bras, but this is great "special occasion" bra. The lace is gorgeous, as is the cut-out detail by the front strap. I love having an actual plunge neck bra too! I wish the outer edge of the underwire were slightly firmer/higher, but that's probably because I'm used to t-shirt bras.

When I was trying to determine my size (I'm typically a 30 band with DD or DDD), I had previously ordered this online in a 30DD and then returned it because I had the "orange in a glass" effect. My local bra shop said that Natori tends to run a little small and kindly recommended that I try this on in a larger band size (32DD), which was a much better fit.

Ah, the Natori Feathers. Wide and shallow, they said, and wide and shallow it was. This bra is soooo wide. There's like, a full inch between the wire and my IMF. I don't particularly mind wide wires actually, and these are quite comfy and feel secure, but the cups being all the way out there makes boob-in-cup placement a tad difficult. This problem is only exacerbated by the fact that horizontal apexes of the cups are really far apart (even though the gore isn't particularly wide). The bra's shallowness in terms of immediate projection and at the apex aren't problematic, but what is a problem is how much ... it cuts in in the center - I don't consider myself to have a lot of center fullness, just close together boobs, and the Feathers does nothing to contain them. My breasts are firm enough that spilling isn't an issue, but, the quadding bothers me, even though you can't see it in pictures.(Edit: the underwires float near the gore, which I suppose is due to the shallowness. auuhgh.)

I do appreciate that the sides of the cups (not the wings) come up really high because I don't mind my armpit running into the bra once in a while in return for the bra not sliding back and forth over my ToS & neighboring tissue.

Well, aesthetics. I'm really fan of this look, so it's a shame it doesn't fit me that well. The feathery part is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the way it runs along the band. That being said, the band feels really delicate when I put it on, so I might appreciate a bit more heft in that department. The hardware is gold (colored), very pretty.

I bought this bra used from a fellow Bratabase user. Why have I waited so long to try this?! It's everything I've been looking for! This bra is an absolute must-have to every woman's bra collection! I love it! In fact, I got it in the mail over 14 hours ago, tried it on and still haven't taken it off yet!! It feels like a comfy sports bra, I can def sleep in this.

Other than the band being stretched out from regular wear, this bra fits perfectly. I was looking for a simple, plunge type t shirt kind of bra but without all the padding or moulded ... cups - just something soft, lightly lined and seamless. This bra gives my girls an amazing shape without any bulkinness or stiffness and looks good under shirts (it is lightly lined tho so the nips can show thru, but that's ok). The wires fit perfectly, just enough width, just the right height and the gore sits low enough for me. It really doesn't even feel like a bra.

I'm glad I was able to try this bra out so I know now that it is def worth spending the money on a brand new one (and I've found them fairly cheap on eBay, in all sorts of different colors). My only complaint is that Natori doesn't make this in a smaller band size...a 28G in this would be perfect! But I can def swing the 32DDD. I HIGHLY recommend this bra!!!
