Bras » Freya » Lauren Padded Half Cup Bra (4821)

Freya has three "families" of padded halfcups.

The first is the "Summer" range which is characterised by two vertical seams only. So far, all longline bras by Freya belong into this category too.

The second is the "Lauren" range which is characterised by two vertical seams and a third horizontal seam across the upper part of the cup.

The third family is those moulded, seamless bras that are based upon the Deco Halfcup.

    Fit

I liked the design of this half cup, and it seemed more elegant and versatile than the frantic patterns of most Freya bras. I think it fits decently, but it has an inferior shape to most other Freya half cups I've tried.

    Pros:
It's a half cup in black that doesn't poke much underneath tops
    Pinstripe pattern
    Nice materials
    Comfortable
    Supportive

    Cons:
Fuller coverage than normal Freya half cup - gapes sometimes especially if I slouch
Less great shape than some half cups I've tried
The straps are too large for the rings connecting the straps to the band - might wear out early because of that

This bra is underwhelming. I had such high hopes, but it's just not very comfortable. The straps are too wide. The gore is too wide and high for me. I don't think the band is too tight, but it tends to give me major back/underarm fat. The underwires kind of hurt after a while too. . . Such a disappointment.

Love the comfort, the look and the lift.
Seems half a cup too small, cuts into tissue a bit, I would like to try it in GG.
The band is very stretchy, I'm usually a 36 in Freya but wearing this one in 34 on tightest hook.
I have heavy and pendulous breasts and this is my first half cup so I'm thrilled to see I can wear this style even if it doesn't fit perfectly.

I measured this bra today and it's been worn quite a few times about a year ago so it's probably stretched. I've lost about 35 pounds since I wore this bra so as of today with my current measurements it is definitely way too big.
It used to fit ok (not great), is good quality and very comfy. A good everyday bra (when it fits)...

I want to like this bra, because it was the first bra that I thought fit me correctly! After trying on some others I've realized that the cup size is a little too small for me. I like the Freya half-cups a lot, but this band is too tight and uncomfortable for me. The frills along the band and the lacy material makes it itchy and uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. (I should mention that I'm really big on comfy bras). However, this bra is super cute, and I love that it comes in a traditional black color with no crazy patterns. My breasts fill the cups nicely but I think I'd like it better if I had ordered it a cup size bigger.

Very happy to say fit is identical to Monet Padded Half Cup: http://bra.pe/SN0/.

Ordered 30G as there are no 28GG and started on 2nd hook just like my Deco bras.

Details are exquisite. Striped material adds sophistication to the simple all-white design and the bows are an extra classy touch. ;) Straps are fully adjustable and have ribbon details. There is a subtle glimmer to the nylon fabric. Not your average "white bra" for sure!

    Measured unstretched before wearing.
    Purchased late-September 2011 from ASOS.

Well this bra didn't work out for me. I have too much upper fullness and get quadboob. This bra may still work for people in the shallow spectrum but who are more full on bottom. It's an attractive bra, feminine without a lot of lace and frills.

Overall, this is a nice bra. I have a 35" ribcage, and I feel like I should have sized down to a 34" band because it feels way too loose and not supportive unless I put it on tighter hooks. I fill the cups mostly, but they seem to be pretty high so there's a bit of gapping at the top of the cup only, which I don't mind. Everything else is comfortable and it does give me a tiny bit of soft cleavage so I'll probably end up keeping this bra so long as I can fit in the band!

I really like this bra. It's the first bra I've owned that doesn't have parts digging in uncomfortably anywhere. Even after wearing the bra for 8+ hours at work, I still cannot feel the underwires digging in anywhere, which makes it a very comfortable bra.

The only problem is, the bra does have a slight tendency to shift down a bit so the underwires aren't sitting at the base of my breast, but it doesn't move much and the comfort isn't lessened much by this movement.
