The band runs loose. I have another Freya bra in the same size, which fits very well, but with this one, I had to start using the second set of hooks immediately (I should have gone for a smaller band, but I was still enthusiastic from my First Fitting and allowed myself to be talked into buying this one. My bad.)

The material used is a sheer mesh, which doesn't stretch much. I thought it would scratch, but it's in fact very comfortable... and I really like the way it looks.I love the detailing, and even though I'm not a big fan of pink hues, the subtle red/salmon color ... of this bra is wonderful.

The straps are rather slippery - not that they would fall off shoulders (although I'm quite broad-shouldered, so I rarely have this problem), but sometimes, when I'm taking off the bra or putting it on, the metal thingummy slides up or down from it's own volition, which is rather annoying. I've never had to re-adjust the bra during the day, though, it really only happens when it's not taut.

As for the shape from the side, see the photo. I was rather unhappy with it at first, because I felt too "pointy" but I've grown onto it.

P.S. I've found a wonderful use for this bra - I wear it for my singing lessons https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> My ribcage expands temporarily during breathing exercises and wearing some of the snugger bands was rather uncomfortable. The Arabella is ideal.

    • One more thing I forgot to add, which I didn't realize at first: apparently, the Freya Arabella is famous for being a sheer bra, however, the balcony version (from GG up) is not fully sheer, only the top part of the cup is. It was not an issue for me, because I was buying it in a shop, but it may be a nasty surprise for someone who orders it online.

I love this bra so much. I've had mine for years and now it's all soft and especially good for sleeping in or watching Netflix with my cat. Still after all of this time the pink design has hardly faded and it has kept its shape and most of the support. I will be getting another one of these definitely. Such a good every day bra, comfortable, pretty, durable, doesn't leave marks on my body, five stars from me.
The matching briefs are nice too but I'm not a fan of the mesh on skin look. I wish Freya paid more attention to the design of their briefs, butts need support/love too.

  3. This bra definitely runs big in the band. I am a solid 34 and I had to take a 32 in this bra. The only other bra I ever had to take in a 32 was the Freya Nieve which is also has a notoriously large band. I would normally be a 34H so I went with the 32HH and it fits beautitully. This is a beautiful and comfortable bra. I do not mind the extra lining in the GG+ sizes, in fact I prefer it. The bra does not go into my armpit which is a common problem I have with bras. I got the Purple ... Haze color at a local boutique and I love it. It's a hard color to get a hold of. I tried the Lyla and heard it was based off the arabella which is why I tried this bra. I am full on top and there may be slight cutting in at times but not enough to be noticeable or uncomfortable. Although I can't speak to its longevity yet this bra is very supportive. I may get more if it stands up to a weeks worth of wear. It's definitely worth a go especially if you can scoop one up in one of the rare discontinued colors.

The brand is feels supportive and I like the fact that there are 3 sets of hooks, not just 2 like in many Panache bras in this size. The band is, however, long compared to Panache for example, as is usual for Freya. I have to have it on the tightest hook on my 30 inch chest and it is till fairly loose (I can fit a hand in there, but not more).

The cups are supportive, but the ribbon running along the top of the cup cuts into my breasts a little, although the rest of the cups is really big enough if not slightly too big. I ... don't think this style will work for full-on-top breasts.

The shape this bra gives is also a little different. I wouldn't describe it as pointy, but it is very round at the bottom and kind of flat at the top, partly due to the constricting band running along the top of the cup.

The straps are stretchy throughout and fully adjustable. Be warned that the contrasting seams will be quite visible through thinner clothes.

    • I can relate to the ribbon cutting across the breast. I thought it was just due to my boob shape, but I see now that it may be an issue for a lot of people people.

    • Yea, I think we're definitely not alone ;)
I think this ribbon is also what causes they wrinkle along the seam between the sheer part and the opaque parts.

The band size runs a little large - the band is noticeably stretchier than other new bras properly sized on me, so I'm wearing it on the second hook a day after receiving it. That's a little worrying, but since I'm between sizes and my weight is fluctuating, I might not be wearing this bra for too long. My breasts are close, so my cleavage extends slightly from my sternum. Therefore, the centre gore doesn't lie entirely flat against my sternum, either, but it's close enough. The straps are nice and wide, with no seams. For someone recently sizing up from other Arabellas - the larger cups aren't ... fully made of sheer mesh like the smaller models, which is kind of sad for those who like that.
My breasts are more fleshy in the top than this bra is intended for - the top embroidered edge folds back to accommodate this. However, there's no noticeable quad-boob effect, so it's a pretty good fit.
The mesh doesn't feel scratchy, and the embroidery is pretty - even for people who don't like pink. It also has three cute little bows (also pink). It looks good, but I would have preferred it to be entirely sheer, like the smaller Arabellas.

The band is quite elastic, which is characteristic of Freya as far as I’m aware. The projection seemed pretty good and though the cup was 1-2 sizes too small, I didn’t have any wrinkling at the bottom. The lace was firm, but felt delicate. I definitely wouldn’t be pulling on it too hard. The straps were amazing—wide and fully adjustable.

I bought this bra for fun, not for everyday wear, and I haven't worn it alot. Now that I've unearthed it I may try to wear it more. It is slightly big on me. I am a nursing mom, but my baby is 17 months, so I don't nurse much anymore. It was definitely a little small while pregnant/early postpartum, but wearable then as well. The straps are pretty far apart, and I have broadish shoulders. It is a pretty bra though, and I'm glad I have it.It does have the extra lining for support, so it's not as sheer as the smaller cup sizes. I also have the briefs, and those are nice as well.

This is a very cute bra in red with pink stitching on the mesh of the upper cup and pink bows at the straps. It is comfortable and well made of quality materials.
It has more center projection than any other Freya model I've tried, but unfortunately, the wires are just too wide and the cups too shallow, tall and closed on top for my shape.

Nice bra for full on bottom breasts. Excellent lower depth, very firm along the top of the cup.

Unfortunately, I've got just a hair too much upper fullness for it due to the firm embroidery along the top of the cup.

This was probably my first "perfect" brassiere. Doesn't cut across the top, nicely supportive, comfortable band. Lasted for quite some time as well.

I loved the orange and pink colorway, I thought of it as my circus bra; I also had the black and pink.
