I guess I could review this since I've had it a year now lol. I've been so slow with reviews. I wish Ewa still made this cut. It feels like an S/PL hybrid - mostly S, but with a lower gore like PL which is basically the best of both worlds for me. I like the simplistic navy design without the enormous bows, lace, sparkles, etc... a lot of Ewa's recent bras are all starting to look the same, in various shades of dark with lace or beige with lace (although that didn't stop me from buying 3 of them during her last new ... release sale haha). There's not a lot to say about this bra that hasn't already been said about most Ewa bras - it's narrow, good immediate projection, nice lift, rounded shape with a subtle peak. Classic Ewa. The cups are somewhat closed off, more so than a CHP. I'm at least the second owner - worth noting this bra has been worn regularly now for likely several years and is showing very few signs of wear. This is definitely a projected, centered profile, good for taking the girls out on the town, not good if you're trying to avoid the boob tent look under flowy shirts. I like it. I wear it a lot, sans cookies as always.

    • This looks beautiful!

    • Thanks for your review....I've wondered how you felt about it :-) Looks supportive and comfortable.

    • It’s a great bra and wish I hadn’t one for myself after trying this one. At least I know that I should have moderate success with the related styles. Thanks for sharing it with me.

    Fits

I borrowed this bra from lcl0706 for a week to test it out as I have never tried an Ewa before, and she said that this one, although a discontinued model, was fairly true to size. She said that it was a combination of two current styles (Pl and S?) so it was a good diagnostic bra. And since our sizes and shapes are similar, there was a good chance that it would fit. She sent it with the Curvy Kate Bardot 30FF that I bought from her. I'm ever so grateful that she did!

My shape is average to short narrow roots with soft, malleable, ... pendulous tissue that tends to be center full and even to fob. So I'm a perfect candidate for Polish bras.

This bra is amazing. I joked that I didn't want to send it back (I did, and she got it today with a small gift of thanks). I feel like I did have a smidgen of slipping from my IMF but very minor. Shape is great, colour is great (I'm a HUGE fan of navy), and the little flower at the center is lovely...it's not a typical flower, but it's really nice. I have to admit that I originally thought that the style was going to be a bit bland or boring but I was so so wrong. It's understated and just beautiful. I'm grateful that the wires weren't super high and I was quite comfortable with the fit under my arm pits. I have a tiny bit of gapping on my small side, but that's par for the course with my slight asymmetry. The straps were a little bit too wide set for me, but still fairly comfortable and manageable. I also found the band and hooks interesting...I've never seen a bra with 4 rows of hooks. Also, because I was borrowing it, I only wore it at home for a few hours at a time to keep it in the best condition, so I can't say anything about the long term comfort of the bra, but I think that it would be fine after a whole day.

I'd love to try this style or one of the ones that it's based off of. And I'd love to try one similar with a thinner padding if something like this exists. Overall, I really enjoyed it, and when I took it to my local shop, the fitter there (who has also suggested that I try Ewa) said it was a great fit....among the best fits that I have tried. I'm definitely going to have to use the measurements to help me find one for myself when I'm ready.

Anyway, really happy with this style; really sad that I don't actually own it.

be sure to check the listings here on bratabase. but ordering from poland isnt that hard - as long as you dont want to return

    • 2

This looks lovely on you, and I think it would be even better with slightly shorter or more closed off cups. I think you would get on really well with EM's PL cut, or even the 3D cut for that matter. I think you'd also do well with Comexim's plunges, but I feel like you would definitely need to have the cups reduced, although I believe that also makes the cups more open on top, so I'm not sure what the right balance of alterations would be for you without experimenting a little bit.

    • 1

Thanks sherrach898. What's the 3D cut you mentioned? I'm ok with the minimal gapping, especially as I gain size as I get closer to my period and would fill out the cups a bit more. I also think that taking the pics might have enhanced it more than it was in reality. I was recently told that Comexim might not have enough projection at the wire for me. But what would it mean by reducing the cups?

    • 1

Yes dbmamaz, I have my eyes open, but some are super expensive, especially after converting to Canadian. It might be better to just order from Poland and get what I want rather than pick from one here. I have the option for bra obsessed, but also hideously expensive.

    • 3

yeah, after I posted, I looked and was surprised - tho I admit, I just bought a new-with-out-tags ewa from someone here for $75 (US) - but it was worht it lol. It was the FB cut, which is designed for bigger boobs - and fits me better than anything else! I've ordered from poland a lot - esp when she has sales, its more reasonable. I think she has one coming up pretty soon

    • 2

The 3D bras are plunge bras for smaller frames & bustlines:
      https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/eng_m_BRAS_3D-Small-Padded-Plunge-Bras-166.html

Ewa is having a new release sale next week (not sure of the day but usually it starts on the weekend) for the colorful BMs, SF, & bralette she posted on Instagram and Facebook recently. Absynt may be available in the S style as well. (All dependent on Ewa not changing her mind of course. )

Reduced cups for Comexim refers to reduced cup height. It typically will lower the height more towards the straps than the gore to lessen the most common gapy area. You can also order Comexim with deeper at the wire to give more projection.

      :-)

    • Thanks MamaPagan. What do you think of the CHP for me, and in general, which styles aside from what you have already mentioned above do you think might work? In the bra of this review, it's said to be mostly the fit of an S but the gore of a Pl.

    • Edit: you didn't suggest the Pl and 3D above, MamaPagan, it was a different user.

    • 1

Yeah, sorry, I just piped in since I had the additional info! :-)

    • 1

MamaPagan Don't worry about it, you covered everything and more that I would've! Calluna I think the CHP has really good immediate projection, but I'd be worried about the cup height and openness for you.

    • 2

sherrach898 thanks for the help. If it makes a difference, my most worn style up to date has been the La Senza So Free Lightly Lined Balconette bra which o think can be considered open on top. I'm right between the 32D and 32DD in that style, as the cups run large. The band is generally too stretchy for me these days, but it's been my go to style despite the band (I just buy on sale or clearance to justify the reduced lifespan). I'll look at maybe adding it here but there's not a lot of models here and they are constantly changing the styles. But here's an example from the current offering of what I've mostly been wearing up til recently. I'll see if I can get a chance to make a small imgur album of my most recent So Free so you can see it and gage the fit and openness of the cup.

      https://www.lasenza.ca/lightly-lined-balconnet-bra-11122888.html

    • 1

I added my La Senza So Free Lightly Lined Balconette for cup shape and style reference if you want some molded to compare with.

    • 1

Okay! I'm more confident now that the CHP would probably work for you. The Cleo Mimi halfcup in the floral print is also said to fit like polish halfcups, so might be worth a try.

    • 1

Yes, I have the Mimi in mind. Floral or spots. Probably spots since I love polka dots and the teal. I'm just waiting on a few more lighter coloured bras and unlined ones before I go for it.

    • 1

Calluna I haven't personally tried it, but from the reviews I've read, the floral and the leopard print Mimi fit differently from each other, so just be mindful of that. The Floral Mimi is the one that is more projected at the wire and overall, from what I understand. But YMMV.

    • 1

Yeah, I don’t generally care for animal prints. So floral or spots for me. No leopard! ;)

    • 2

Calluna Ah! My bad! I totally forgot about the spots print haha

  3. I bought from another user thinking it would be similar to the PL cut but its a little different. My natural breast shape is like an upside down 7, not quite as pointy but that general shape. With this bra I get more a natural shape while with my PLs it more a smushed round shape. There is more space at the wire then the PLs which is good for my immediate depth. The apex is higher then mine and it kinda points upward. It looks better under loose fitting shirts. I am still able to fill the apex because the cups are slightly too small. I could go up a size but then it would be more coverage then I like. With the inserts I quad out of the cups. Is style the same a the M style?

    Edit:
    Updated review(7/30/15) here:

    https://itsbralove.wordpress.com/ewa-michalak-mp-kleksik/ewa-michalak-mp-kleksik/

    -------------------------------------------------
Out of my new Ewa bras, I actually feel like this one fits the best, after trying it on again.

I don't get any quadding or gapping. I can fill the cups, somehow, with the pads in.
I do not however, like the shape it gives me as mine is super pointy.
I wish my real boobs had this shape haha. But I don't want a bra to have this shape, unless it's unpadded, or maybe if it even just had much lighter padding.
I believe this falls under "elf shoes", which, I actually seek in unpadded bras. I get the shape with Freya Starlet and Eden.
The difference ... is that this is more heavily padded than the the 3 other EM's I own, and the shape is...exaggerated? I don't know how to explain. I guess it's like giant elf shoes, except even more rounded at the bottom than I'd get with unpadded "elf shoe" bras.

I tried it on under the same top I wore yesterday (photos coming) and it just made my boobs look giant.Almost Freya Deco giant, except pointy. It isn't as obvious under a top, and I wonder if the pointyness would go away after a while. I don't know, but I'm not so in love with this that I really wish to keep it. I may try it for a day before deciding, but I'm unsure as of now.

This one doesn't do much to boost my appearance or confidence, so..idk, I'm not heartbroken about possibly letting it go.
I just don't get much from it and I don't like the shape. Who knows, I may change my mind if I try it out for a day.

For now I feel, it just doesn't do much for me and makes my boobs look exaggerated. Oddly, I like the look of it in the photos I took, but IRL I just feel like it looks really bulky and pointy.

Wires are very narrow, cups are up front and centered, wires touch. They do give me lift regardless.
Appearance wise, I actually don't know how I feel about it. I like the flower in the gore, and I feel like that's a unique touch.
I thought the blue was going to be slightly deeper/darker, but it's still pretty. The fabric covering the cups is really soft and pretty. Inside the cups is super comfy too, and I'm sure, comfort wise, I'd love this bra. Really if it weren't for the apex, I would probably really enjoy this bra and keep it for sure.

Straps are fully adjustable. I don't have issues with them being far apart, but I think I may be more broad shoudlered.
The band on mine seems TTS, doesn't cut in and isn't at all slack.

I'd recommend this bra to, of course anyone with narrow roots, who needs some projection. I really don't know what shape would be ideal or a "perfect" fit for this. I'm even, but tuberous/thin boobed and I can fill it with the pads.
I think many different shapes could possibly be compatible with it TBH.
The apex is up pretty high on my bra and has the shape of a FoB boob but, the space is the bottom of the cups is a little less than the space in the top. So maybe, ideally slightly FoT to even? I'm not really sure. This one confuses me a little. xD

I'll edit in the future if I decide to try it out or keep it.

The apex on it is weird, right?
lol @ elf shoes! It is very green shaped for a padded bra. I quite like it even though I usually like a purple shape in a padded bra.
Mine is put away until it gets colder. It does feel bulky and very warm. Too much bra for thin and sheer summer shirts, but I think it'll be great under thick sweaters. Maybe try it on with a winter top, see how you like it then before you decide.
I think it looks good, but if it does zip for you, get a different one ;)

    • jlcl119 haha I forget where I first read the term "elf shoes", but I saw this on and it popped into my head. xD

I think this bra looks great on you btw! I was really excited to receive mine after seeing the pictures you posted because it looks so nice. :)

Something about it looks different on me imo, I just can't put my finger on what it is, but it throws things off a little.
Or, maybe I'm just used to wearing bras that are almost too small and/or a specific shape atm and that's messing with my perceptions of all my other bras. xD

You know, I got to thinking this might be a nice bra for winter/sweaters for a few reasons too. I think that's a good idea. :)

And thank you ^_^ I think I may just wait until I can try a sweater with it. October is coming up soon enough!

    • 1

they dont make this any more, do they? I wonder if its because you arent FOT? or if its slightly small? I feel like most of her bras want you to be more cleavagy lol (except the fb series)

    • 1

dbmamaz I bought the last one xD
I agree. I think they measure smaller on bottom in order to push the tissue up at the top and make you more cleavage-y

    • 1

My Sm does that - its shallow at the bottom to push you up higher, I have to scoop-and-swoop out of the bottom in order to fill it, which seems odd. and it makes me look kinda flattened. I'm dying to see how an S looks on me, since everyone says the padded ones are rounder.

    • 1

Telling from experience, Ewa's padded plunge bras will soften up after a few wears and washes and the shape will become more rounded and way less pointy then.

If it feels "giant" however, might be that the cups are just slightly too big (you mentioned filling them only with the pads inserted, so that might be a hint).

    • dbmamaz Yeah, I like the pushed up look but I think it can really make the fit odd.The S models look really great. I was going to try one in Kwiaty. Kind of glad I didn't because it would've been too big (65F), but I like the look of the S design a lot.
      Fingers crossed for you! :)

@bracrastination I was wondering if this was one that might soften up, but I'm so nervous about trying it, washing it, and re-selling lol.

I do think it's at least slightly too big. I'm sure I couldn't fill the top without the pads. But that woukd definitely explain why it feels so big when I have it on!

    • Oops I meant, trying it, washing it, it still not working out for me in whatever way, and then re-selling anyway.

    • 1

FWIW, a worn once washed once EM will still sell for about retail.

    • jlcl119 Ah! Ok, that's really good to know. I haven't even taken the tags off yet because I've been worried lol
That makes me feel better :)

    Fits

I bought this 70E planning on altering it down to a 65F. It turns out I didn't have to because the band is snug like my 65s. It's soft like a t-shirt and comfortable on the loosest hook.
The straps are comfortable and stay adjusted just fine.
Gore is flat on my sternum and pretty comfortable. It's at a weird height for me though. I have a little divot, most bras avoid it either sitting above it, below it, or not tacking so hard. But, I get a hard tack on this and it sits in that divot. That's fine, but if I slouch it will dig up and into ... the bony lip above. I sold a Miss Mandalay that I liked for that reason, but I think I'm going to suck it up for this.
The shape is, you know, round and in the front. What else would it be being an Ewa Michalak bra?
I love the color and really wish I had better lighting. It's a rich royal navy, just a hint of purple. I really really love it.
The apricot carnation in the center is pretty. I like that it's not a bow and not a rhinestone of some sort.

I love the color and the cut of this bra. It took some time till the shape got more rounded, but now its really good. The wearing comfort is quite good, there seems to bee the tiniest amount of a problem in my left armpit, but usually that is no issue. I am FOB and can wear this bra under low cut tops. This is one of Ewas tighter bands.

I love the color on this bra. It has a different shape than CHPs, that seems to be similar to the S shape. It's decently deep at the bottom of the cup, but it is slightly closed on top. A cup size too big for my 65Es.

I now have two Ewa Michalak MP Kleksik bras in 65F. Both fit well enough but are too tight on the loosest hooks. The band feels much tighter than her usual 65 band. The MP Kleksik 65 band feels much tighter than the MP Truskawki z Malinami's band. I got the Truskawki twice in 65F and once in 65FF. That band is much more comfortable for my 29" underbust.

Other than the overly tight band, the MP Kleksik is a good fit. I've barely worn it because I can't be bothered with an extender when I have so many comfier bras. It takes a long time for me to loosen up a band, which I've had to do with my 3D Onyx, 3D Satine, 3D Karmelki, 3D Szafirek, and a few other Ewa Michalak bras. I may choose to sell one of my MP Kleksik bras to avoid having to do this.

The color is a dark purplish navy.

Absolutely lovely bra! The cups are made of really thick fabric, so it adds size to the breasts. Unfortunately, the gore is too tall for me, and the apex of the bra is somehow too deep. I can wear this size in both PL and 3D, but not Mp for some reason. Even with the pads, its too deep/big for me.
