    65FF

    Fits

I ordered this bra directly from Ewa Michalak, and it didn't take as long to ship as they said it would, def not a month! But it is always worth the wait from EM! This bra is SO MUCH prettier in person, and the bright red (almost pink) color is so vibrant, and the Navy Blue trim stands out much more, and doesn't look as black as it does in photos. Overall, I think it fits ok, but I feel like I can get a much better fit if I could just figure out my size in Polish bras!

I normally wear a 28G (sometimes 28FF depending), and ... figured the sister size to that, 30FF (65FF), would work just as well. And I was honestly too scared to order a band size down and do a 60 cuz I was worried it would be too tight. But the band on this is very stretchy. Straight out of the box, the band measured 21" (I thought perfect) BUT stretched to about 31"! I was pretty shocked, I thought it would be much tighter. Needless to say, with my 26/27" underbust I had to immediately hook it on the tightest setting. But so far it seems to be doing the trick, it hasn't started to ride up my back yet. It feels pretty secure and snug. The straps are somewhat thin and placed a bit too far out but it's not completely bothersome. I did have a bit of a hard time adjusting the straps to make them tighter. The gore tacks perfectly and is quite comfy for my close-set boobs (almost always a problem with taller gores or anything that isn't a plunge style). The cups come up just high enough to cover my nipples, and I could prob order a size up in the cup but they're so open on top I was worried they would gape. I'm not too crazy about the material of the cup, it's like a crunchy, crinkly foam. But they look nice so I might just have to break it in.

But I would recommend not just this bra but Ewa Michalak in general! Something about her bras, even when it isn't a perfect fit, that makes the girls look awesome! Great lift, decent cleavage AND super comfy!!

    • That bra looks fantastic on you. I am the same underbust as you, but about an inch smaller overbust. So, I have kind of been stalking you :) I just ordered my first EW bra as well and had exactly the same hesitation you had regarding band size. What do you make of their online size calculator?

    • 1

Aw thank you. Lol! I tried their online size calculator and it was WAY off, put me at a 65E! That would be entirely too small, I don't understand how they calculate it. But I just went with my UK equivalent (or sister size actually). I normally wear a 28G but was worried the 60 band would be too tight so I ordered the 30FF (65FF) and the cups seem to fit nicely but the band is super stretchy on this!!

    • Well, I am new to all of this and I am finding your reviews and comments extremely helpful. So I thank you for that! It is amazing to realize I haven't had a well fitting bra in my thirty years of wearing bras!! But hey, better late than never :)

Seriously, thanks for your thoughtful and thorough reviews. It really helps a newbie like me!!

    • Aw you're welcome. I'm pretty new to all this myself! And just recently discovered my TRUE size. Thanks to this site I've learned so much! And I'm so glad I can give back now and help other women :) I can't believe I actually used to wear a 34 band! That's almost 10" larger than my actual size!!

But so far, I am in love with Ewa Michalak!! Her bras are amazing! The designs/styles are fun and sexy, and you can get the support and proper fit of a "big girl" bra without looking like you raided your grandma's underwear drawer! Lol! EM bras are a bit pricey, but honestly, I've spent more money on a Victoria Secret bra that wouldn't even compare to this! I don't think I can ever spend $68 on another VS bra now, knowing I can get a EM bra hand-sewn for the same price! And get a MUCH better fit!

    60H

    Didn't fit

I received this lovely bra from Chezeb3lla so I could try new sizing options. The color is fabulous and pictures really don't do the colors justice. I was looking to try a 60 band since most of the 65's I have stretch over time and I really should be in a 60 band having a 25.5 inch under bust. Sadly this band on this bra stretches way too much for me. I start out wearing this on the tightest set of hooks. I've been finding that my most recent Ewa Michalak purchases have had much tighter bands in comparison to the older ones I've had. ... This fits much like my old 65G CH Toffic. I feel had this bra been a 60GG (with a true 60 band) I would have had a much much better fit. There is some slight gapping in the cup and about a thumbs width between where my breast end and the wire sits on the sides. I plan to keep this bra because I will be trying to get pregnant within the next year. Having a larger cup bra with a more forgiving roomy band will be perfect for pre and post pregnancy boobs.

*All pics were taken with the cookies in the cups.

The cups are a lovely shade of red with navy blue detail and navy blue elastic shoulder straps. The straps are made with a smooth elastic with cute little hot pink bow accents where the straps meet the cup. There is also a hot pink bow on the center gore. The straps are a bit wide set for me, but this may be due to it being one cup size too big. There are pockets inside the cup for the cookies. This bra has three rows and four columns of hooks on the back band. The back band is really stretchy, but made of a lovely soft fabric. The elastic on the back band is evenly distributed along the top and bottom, so no digging in.

This looks fantastic on you - it fits you really well!!

    • 1

This looks so good on you! I think this one is the perfect cup volume for you, I would just go down in the band. This model is known to run particularly stretchy.

    • 1

      do they still make 55s?

    • 2

They do, but I think not in this model because it's in outlet.

    • lcl0706 Thank you. This truly is a beautiful bra.

@PetiteCollegiate Do they scale the cups down with the smaller band size? I find this one to be slightly wide in the wires and a tad high in the armpits. I do plan to wear it during 'that time of the month' when I have more breast volume. It's much too lovely to give up.

    • 1

Suposedly yes, the next band size down will have slightly narrower wires and lower cups, however I don't know if that's actually always the case. When (if) I ever get my most recent order I'll compare the 55FF/Gs to the 65E/Fs I have.

I think the half cups run wider than the other cuts, dont they? I often read reviews of each model (if i can) to see how stretchy the bands are. Also I think the sheer SMs tend to run tight in the band - at least my 70J - Ewa Michalak » Sm Fiolecik (642) did - I'm still wearing an extender with it.

    • 1

Depends on the size range! In my size range CHP/CH is the narrowest and most projected cut from EM.

    • 1

I guess she's closer to your range than mine

    • dbmamaz I honestly feel it's just a shot in the dark as to what bra will have a tight band. There really isn't any consistency. I have two SM Wrozka, 65FF & 65G, and the 65G clearly has a smaller band.

PetiteCollegiate Up in till now I've always just purchased 65 bands because I was afraid to get the 60 custom order. But I think with the track record of stretchy bands I'll just bite the bullet and order. I do love the look of the CHP/CH cups. They truly provide a lovely round shape under clothes.

    • 1

sometimes they mention on EM's website that a bra has a particularly tight band. Looked over about 2 dozen and only found 2 marked as 'standard band' but i swear I saw one marked as tight band a few weeks ago

    85GG

    Didn't fit

After having the S cut I tried not work out, I decided to give CHP a try. 85GG is the closest to my size that the CHP is available in without going for custom orders or anything like that, so I decided to give it a go.

The cups are still too tall - without the inserts, I wouldn't be able to wear the bra. But with them in, the extra height is pretty minimal and with a t-shirt on is basically unnoticeable. A keeper!

I like the deep red color - it's much less pink and more red than it appears in pictures on EM's site. I'd've prefered ... a bright pink, but red works too. The detailing is simple - deep navy on the seams and underwire channels, deep navy lace at the top of the cup, and bright pink bows on the straps and gore. It's not quite sexy, but is cute at the same time.

The fit is pretty good, other than the cup height. Wires are actually slightly wider than I had expected, but not too wide for me. The band is stretchy and like the last 85-band EM I tried, likely actually somewhere between a 36 and 38 in length. Which is fine for me, as my snug underbust is usually around 36.5. The pocket for the pads is kind of annoyingly-placed and getting them in can be tricky, but not a huge issue. I did find that the end of the wire channels, under my arms, feels...weird? Like, it's not poking my arm pit, but I don't think it's 100% flat? I'm not sure. It looks okay, but it's rubbing my arm a bit. Though likely that won't be an issue with an actual shirt on.

It's comfy to wear, and as I said, the extra height is hidden with a shirt on. It also made my breasts look *much* larger. Like we're talking a cup or two more, thanks to both the padding and the inserts. I really don't need the extra oomph that much - I wear a 36HH already - but it's pretty damn impressive.

It ain't perfect, but it's definitely good enough, and I think CHP is my EM cut. Now I'm just wondering if going down to an 85G will get the cup height low enough without sacrificing the rest of the fit.

    • Oh, good, I'm so glad the half cups work better

    • I definitely think that going down in cup size will solve the fit and make it perfect. I have this bra and it's one of my favourites!

    65FF

    Didn't fit

I feel like I'm about to commit a cardinal sin here.... but I just don't like the CHP. I like the S, I love the SM, and the HM is so sexy, any issues are forgiven. The CHP though? Meh. I want to love it, really. Halfcups are so visually appealing. But I can't stand it on. I don't understand why everyone loves the CHP, when the S and SM are heaven to me.

Bra description: A two-seam, three-part halfcup, with Ewa's famously narrow wires. The material on the cups is a brilliant, almost shiny red (think like swimsuit material) while the band is a brilliant red without ... the shine (actually the same color/material as the Ewa Michalak S Truskawki Z Malinami (383) )). The vertical seams and the wires are covered with a deep navy ribbon, while the top of the cup displays and even darker navy lace. The straps and the back clasps are more of a slate blue than a navy.
I got this bra used, so its got some pilling on the band (but not on the cups), and I didn't get any inserts with it.

    On to the fit!
Without cookies, I get gaping at the top. The depth is fantastic, but my boobs just kind of puddle in the cup. I put some the cookies from a 65FF S, and the fit was "perfect".... I just don't like it.
So, there's tons of projection, immediate and at the apex. It creates a very round shape. It does not lift as much as the S does. The cleavage is of the subtle, "gentle hills" variety.

I compared this bra to my 3-part Comexim halfcup longline (70H - Comexim » Papillon Longline ) which I'm starting to bubble out of a little. The comexim has more immediate projection, a rounder profile, and slightly more angled cups. I like the comexim better, even though its a little small.

Then I compared it to a freya halfcup (30FF - Freya » Piper Padded Longline Bra (1233) ). As with all Freya halfcups, the longline's wires are painfully wide, and the cup a little too shallow. The CHP's wires are narrow and more comfortable, and the deeper cups create a more projected profile than the shallow, flattened freya halfcup look. With inserts, the CHP creates better cleavage. Despite the fit problems, I'm more likely to wear the longline than the CHP.

The fit is good.On paper, this bra has everything I ever wanted: Sexy color/appearance, narrow wires, immediate projection, lots of depth, shorter cups.

So why don't I like it? I despise the top of the cup. I've had this problem with every single CHP I've tried on. The top of the cup is absurdly noticeable under any top I wear. The top of my comexim halfcup and my freya halfcups aren't anywhere near as noticable. The only bra I've tried with a worse top seam was the Cleo Maddie (which is really tall, fyi). With the CHP, the seam is noticeable with or without inserts. Without, the cup is too tall. With... it's not quadding, persay. The cup is not too small. It just has a noticeable seam+dent in my upperboob. I don't it. Am I the only one who gets this?

In conclusion, I'm reserving full judgement until I try the CHP in a size down, just to make sure its not a size issue. But I'm hedging my bets that it's just a weird thing in my head and I will never like the CHP on me, no matter how I lust after it.

I haven't actually tried this bra but from the photos, yes, that trim on top of the low-cut foam cup certainly looks rather bulky and clunky. Cup trim can be very inconspicuous if it hits the wearer higher up but if it is close to the apex of the breast then it will be a lot more apparent just because of how your clothes will drape across this part of the breast. If you like to wear fitted tops and fine fabrics this one isn't going to be your pal.

    • 1

I also haven't had much luck with the CH or CHP styles. My closest fit was a 70DD Magnolia, but the cups were super low coverage and it was a bit too small all over, and the ones I've tried in a cup volume larger have been too big at the top of the cup even with the pads.

    • 2

I like the CHP but don't really care for the S/SM, so maybe we balance each other out in our cardinal sin!

    • 1

wendybien I think you hit the nail on the head with my fit annoyance - The cup just ends in the wrong spot for me. The Freya halfcup and Comexim halfcup I compared to also ended around the same area, but the cup edge is much thinner in those two, so I didn't care as much. I think if the CHP had a thinner/graduated cup edge, I would be all over it.

In the meantime, I like the S better because that top part of the cup curve back over my boob, rendering the cup edge nearly invisible under shirts.

trebuchet1220 More S/SM for me, for CHP for you! I've just noticed a trend on bratabase to love the CH/CHP cuts while expressing annoyance at the S (The SM gets plenty of love though). It confused the crap out of me because I have very similar sounding boobs to many of the raving CHP reviews (short root, issues with shallow-bottomed bras/wanting immediate projection and overall cup depth, etc). Maybe its a minor shape difference we haven't specified yet, or maybe it's just personal preference at this point.

    • Comexim 3HC is a better fit for me, too. The gore with of EM CHP bothers me...and the thickness...and the stiffness. Comexim's "cuddle."

High quality colorful and very beautiful Ewa Michalak - gives a very burlesque look which is very sexy. Gore, straps, band, ect are exquisite and fit well. Fabric is comfortable whilst giving the girls a great shape. Unfortunatly it is too big in the cups for me as I cant quite fill it. Will definitly reorder in a size smaller.

Another beautiful CHP. I love this style - it provides lift and roundness but is still very comfortable. If EM offered 60-bands, I'd buy this in a 60GG. The 65G still fits though. I prefer nude shades, but this is pretty for my darker tops.

I can't decide if this is a bit too big. Something about it feels a touch too unstable in the cups. But I also feel that going down a cup would make it too small. The immediate projection in this bra is great, it stays in my IMF better than any other bra I've tried. Band is a bit tight.

this bra sadly is a failure on me https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> the band is good on the second or third hooks, which is confusing given that i have an 80 band which i can *just* get closed. EM bands are frustratingly variant and it discourages me from ever buying one new! at least on bratabase i can get measurements. i knew this band would likely fit like this (because i had seen the measurements) so its not a surprise, just a reminder of the crazy size fluctuations the brand has.

the cups have way too much space in them https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" ... /> im not sure why, since numbers wise they should fit. maybe the cup is just too open? it feels like at least one cup size too large, maybe even two. the straps are also too wide set, so even if the cups fit, i wouldnt be able to wear it comfortably.

i cant seem to nail my size in EM! i was hoping the half cups would be my holy grail bras, but it looks like thats not the case.
