    Fits

It's a Gazeta! It's a Gazeta! It's a Gazeta! I'm a lucky girl indeed! Band runs small, cups run either taller or about a half size-ish big. Overall I find it comfortable, others may disagree. Immediate projection is good, the wires are a little wider than other CH/Ps, and I don't care! It's a Gazeta!

I'm so envious of your bradrobe! I wonder if all Gazetas run a fraction large, or just this particular one? Are EM cups usually TTS/a little on the small side?

    • 2

slowb I've had two Gazetas and they were both large in the cup and small in the band.

    • 1

      So cute!!! Lovely on you!!

    • 1

What a lovely bra. Looks wonderful on you and looks to fit you perfectly.

    • 1

slowb I've tried 5 EM half cups. The Lawenda 65F runs big in both band and cup. The Stalowka 65F ran small in band and TTS cups. Gazeta runs small band, big-ish cups. My CH Bizkopty 65FF ran small in the cups, the band was altered. The CH Cherry 65FF ran enormous everywhere. I think it's kinda hit and miss unfortunately.

    • 1

      This is absolutely gorgeous!

    • 3

Good to know, thank you jlcl119 and lcl0706 ! You guys are all so helpful :) I don't know how people buy bras without bratabase!!

    Fits

I have been lucky enough to have three of this coveted model pass through my hands.
None of them have been an ideal fit until now, I guess the third time really is a charm.

This bra in this size does not share any of the issues I had with either my 65F - Ewa Michalak » Chp Gazeta (447) or my 70D - Ewa Michalak » Chp Gazeta (447) . It was comfortable from the moment I received it without my having to alter it in any way.

True to the other two bras, this one runs about two bands tight. I get a stretched measurement ... of 28-29" which is ideal for me and makes this fit as my other 65E CHPs without any help from me.

Aesthetically, I love this bra. I'm a huge bookworm and anything with print, literary references, or books is me.
Again, I don't love the hearts, but I do love that they are everywhere.

The band is small, as my other two were.
The cups are narrow and deep enough for me.
Wires are low profile and the gore is comfortable.
The straps are okay. I prefer thicker ones, but these aren't bad.
The little bungee at the strap front doesn't bother me in this size so it can stay. It is stretchy though and I lose a touch of lift leaving them there, but I'm okay with that.
Shape is rounded with decent cakes on a plate cleavage. Not as much as some of my other CHPs because of the straps though.
This is an older model, so it doesn't have cookies or the pockets for them. I am right on the edge of a 65E/65F these days so I couldn't wear them anyhow.

Obviously I love this bra, I've bought it three times!
I'd love to see it come back, or something similar anyway. We need more book/newspaper bras.

I LOVED this bra! It's so beautiful and the hearts on the band are nice details.

    • 2

For me the height is the best part of the CHP. Yeah, it doesn't tack but I had a boob shelf!

    • 1

Yes, it is SO unique!!! I want this bra!!!

    • OK thx :) you entered it here as 60FF ;)

    • Oh, yes, I see that now. I'll see if i can change it :)

Jag ÄLSKAR "Lingerie och Literature!" I'm catching up on all of your posts that I missed now. Your recent trend of putting all the English at the bottom instead of throughout is actually forcing me to try to read and practice the Swedish because the English is harder to access (which is good for me lol)... And that sums up my life on how bras help me learn languages.

    • 1

Tack, jag blir så glad när någon berättar att hen (sorry, new word, gender neutral of he/she) gillar min blogg!
I've acctually quite recently started to put the english between the pictures just like the swedish text, because i thought it might be easier for the international readers to follow when I refer to the pictures. Maybe you can read the swedish and check that your translation matches up? Maybe I should start writing the complete translations because sometimes I leave things out (especially cultural references)?
Anyway, I'm happy to be able to help you with your language learning :) You're acctually the second person to tell me that they use my blog that way, lol :D

This bra doesn't need an introduction, or a description. We all know what it is!

The band on this one runs tight, it's a 70 stretching to 28". It is so much more comfortable than my 65F - Ewa Michalak » Chp Gazeta (447) . It's good on the loosest hooks and I forget about it.
The straps are thin and a bit stretchy, not super uncomfortable though. I do wish they were sturdier, but whatever. The loop in the front doesn't bother me as much in this bra as it does the other, so I may be able to let this one stay. However, the edges on ... the strap hearts are itchy and annoying, so I might move those.
The wires are narrow awesomeness and are firm without being hard. They stay put, thank you!
The cups are a bit small for me. I get some pressing on my left side. It's mostly hidden by the ruffly bit on the cup, but it is there. Also, my gore floats. I wore it all day yesterday while I helped my husband replace some plumbing (so gross), and it was up to the task. So, support isn't really compromised, it just isn't an ideal fit.

I'd love to get my hands on a 70DD, I think that would be a perfect fit for me. This fits me well enough however and this is a bra that I'm willing to compromise fit on, also I don't have to suffer to break it in like I did last time.

I needed this bra, had to have this bra. I love this bra. This bra is awful.

So, the band is so so tight, doesn't stretch much, and the chiffony ribbon along the edge is itchy. I have to use an extender just to get it off my flesh a bit. I bought this used, but I really don't know how used it was since the hook and eyes look new and the band is so rigid.
The cups are too big for me. Too big, too open, whatever. It amounts to the same, I can't fill them up unaided. So, I stuff it. One pad on my left, two ... on my right. This fixes that problem. For some reason, my bra doesn't have pockets so I have to use double sided tape to hold them in place.
The straps are more of that stretchy nonsense, but they adjust well and stay put. The little split thing in the front is cute, and uncomfortable. It pinches me.
The wire width is good and I find that part very comfortable. Which is good, because that's the only thing I can't tweak.
Shape is up front, round and lifted as I expect from every Polish bra ever at this point.

The bottoms are a 36 (38" wide hip/31" hip bone). They fit, but they're also rigid like the bra. Maybe they'll soften up, maybe the bra will too. I haven't actually worn this for more than a few hours yet. It's too hot for it right now, especially since I have to add pads and have no cotton buffer. Thankfully I do not change size much between summer and winter, so this will have to join my Kabaretka set in my chest until fall.

I love the pattern on this. I have every book themed piece of clothing ever (including some heels that look like encyclopedia spines) I needed this set in my life and I'm keeping it. I'll drop to an A cup and stuff my husbands socks in it!
I could do without the hearts, but I like that they're everywhere. Maybe I'll replace them with something else, but what?

I'm wearing the pads in every photo except for the one that says otherwise.

Also, my specific bra has a review of "Cats" and a blurb about nuclear fission. Literature, felines, and science all on a bra, awesomesauce!

Oct. 2015: I wanted to come back and add some information since I've been wearing this for awhile. The band, while still very snug, has lost some of that rigidity. It doesn't feel quite so tight and it doesn't dig in nearly as much. All the materials of the bra have softened with wash and wear. This makes it fit better and it's far more comfortable.
The split strap in the front continued to stretch, chafe, and interfere with support so I removed it. The bra is still stunning without it and it now fits much better. The cups fit better and I do not need the pads for it to look nice and give good shape.
I'm glad I gave it time, because this bra was truly awful and uncomfortable when I first got it. It really needed some breaking in and now it's almost as nice as my other CHPs.
The bottoms have remained fairly snug through the back. They do cut into my cheek a bit still. So those are strictly for skirts/dresses.

    • Love this bra!!!! One of my favorite

    • It's my favorite to look at, but not my favorite to wear!
I hope it breaks in when the weather is cooler.

    • 1

Yeah I don't own it so guess its my favorite to look at too LOL Hopefully it works out for you...

    • It's totally normal that your bra didn't have pockets for the pads. This bra was released in AW2013, before putting pads/pockets in the CHP cut was standard.

    • BumbleBean I was going through the pictures on here and noticed that most didn't have pockets while some did. I didn't know they were non-standard at one point.
I wonder, did they have to be requested?

    • 3

I mean, seriously. I would gnaw my left arm off for this bra, and then I'd have to have someone help me put it on.

    • 3

Well, I guess gnawing off your arm is an improvement over setting yourself aflame like wendybien thought you wanted.

    • 1

jlcl119 Huh, you're right! I just looked through the pictures, and it looks like the 70F has pockets for pads whereas no one else does (including mine!) I wonder why that was.

I've had a few older models of the CHP and PL (before the S ever existed) and pads & pockets were not in any of the bras. The pads & pockets only became a normal feature in the last couple of years. If I remember correctly, the Gazeta was released around the same time that was sort of becoming the trend, so maybe random (or later manufactured ones) had the pads? Who knows.

    • 2

Whoever thought it up needs a raise, because they're useful. Even if you don't use the pads, they could hold your lipstick.

    • 2

"I mean, seriously. I would gnaw my left arm off for this bra, and then I'd have to have someone help me put it on."
      LOL

    Fits

Me: very soft tissue; Measurements: UB 68/72 cm (26.5/28.5"), Bust 87/92 (34/36.5")

I took Ewa's warning on the website to heart and decided to size up in the band on this bra . . . and I'm glad I did. I would say the bra I received runs about a half-size small in the band. There is some inconsistency however, because the 70C I ordered prior to this ran an entire size small. My recommendation would be to stick with your normal band size if you are on the smaller end of the range and to go up if you are in the middle ... to larger end of the range.

Unlike some of the other recent CHPs (Ametyst, Cappuccino, etc), the wires on this bra are VERY strong. Even just trying to pull them with my fingers is difficult - they are very thick and have a nice wide casing around them. So this affects the fit in small ways. First, I think it contributes to the feeling of band tightness. Second, the cups feel deeper and narrower than other CHPs because the wires do not move out at all when you fasten the bra (you can see in the side view picture the wires are still straight up). Effectively, this makes the cup feel about a half-size larger than normal. I think can still make it work (the cups mould to you more after wearing), but it should be noted. I might try a 70D if I decide it is still too large after washing.

Also, the straps are very stretchy IMO. I have to tighten them up quite a lot in order to get a normal strap tension. However, they are fully adjustable so it should be okay for most people.

Now on to the famous fabric! I like this bra because sometimes I like to change it up from a sleek, minimalist style and this is anything but that. This bra is all the things! It is antiqued newsprint fabric, with transparent shiny dots, and lace and ruffles and bows and hearts and it's just FUN to wear. BTW, the lace lays flat under shirts.

The matching underwear runs a little tight also as an FYI. I am literally right between size 36 and 38 and sizing up is definitely recommended.
EDIT: I bought a pair of 40s in the briefs just to see and they fit perfectly! Size up!

Ladies, the next Gazeta just arrived on bratabase! The bra is lovely. As mentioned in other reviews, the band is tighter - although I need only 1 extra set of eyes so its not that bad. The bra is in perfect size, theres no quadboobs like in my 70DD - Ewa Michalak » Chp Stalówka (307) , but shame that I dont get the same effect that I have with 70DD - Ewa Michalak » Ch Owoce Leśne (573) . However, I still love the set! The panties are so cute but very low. Overall, would be very nice to see more bras with 'gazeta' print as it gives something new to each wardrobe!

This is my favourite EM bra, would love to get one in 65F/FF. Congrats for a great find! :)

    • 2

Thanks erispe . Hope one day youll find it as well! :))

    • 1

I've been hesitant to try EM because of the wider set straps, but I'm sooo envious of your fantastic find! Good job!

    • 1

distractedmyth I can't speak for every different shape, but I know that I was concerned about that because I have a fairly narrow frame. The wide set straps actually worked really well for me though because they pretty much fell outside the bulk of my breast tissue then came up at an angle so that they ended up hitting further in at the top than most of the other bras I've tried. If you find one that you really like I wouldn't let the straps deter you from trying it out

    • (if you'd like to see what I mean, you can see pics here: http://bra.pe/I4Dk/ and here: http://bra.pe/I4Dj/ )

    • 2

Ha ha ha I like reading the 'news' on everybody's Gazetas -like your briefs, martka00 , say "Beauty" in exactly the right spot!! And my Gazeta (from a Bratabaser) says "Cats" right across the cup, which is good because I love my kitties and cats in general :). There should be more readable lingerie!

    • jennyanni lol I haven't notice it even 😂😂😂

    • kermitdafrog21 That actually helps a lot! So they're supposed to come in at an angle like that? That actually never occurred to me - I just always thought there was something wrong when bras did that. Good to know :)

    • 1

distractedmyth I assumed they were supposed to do that. It didn't dig in or anything and they actually stayed up really well (though I did end up sending the bra back so I could sister size down). It may or may not work for you but I definitely wouldn't discount it because of the straps because for me it wasn't an issue like I had thought it would be

    • Although now looking at the models on her website, their straps pretty much go straight up so maybe its not supposed to do that... But like I said, it wasn't uncomfortable to have them at that angle (and going straight up for me would almost be off the edge of my shoulder bone)

    • The straps of my ewa does fall off of my shoulders( for a dif bra style tho ) and the only way to stop it is to use a suspended piece to hold the straps together across my shoulders. I wonder if there is a certain style that the bratabase crowd has noticed to have closer straps.

The design of this bra is refreshingly unique. The cut is similar to other CHPs that I've tried. The wires are relatively narrow and the immediate projection is FOB-friendly. The band on this particular bra is about a half size smaller than a standard 32/70, but between the two in this style that I've tried (I also have a 65G), it can run tighter. The cup runs about a half size big, in my opinion. I am a pretty solid 30GG in padded styles and the 70G gapes a little near the straps, but is perfectly wearable if I wasn't so picky.

  9. Ewa Michalak's website said this model ran a little small in the band, but it didn't seem that different to me.

I love the idea of the red accents on this, but I thought the number of hearts was a little overwhelming and I'll probably take a few off.

    • That bra is indeed awesome. I remember you bought the last one at Revelation in Fit, after I tried it on and confirmed the gore is tragically too high for me. If the gore doesn't tack, you're probably getting epic cakes on a plate cleavage, right?
