    Fits

I'm overjoyed by the fit of this bra! I have intensely admired the Famme Fatale for awhile, along with many other beautiful Ewa designs discontinued before I even became aware of correct bra fitting, but which continue to haunt my bra-obsessed dreams nevertheless https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> So, this was an awesome find, as I totally never expected to come across it!

I have to say, it's even better than I imagined. Appearance-wise, it is such a gorgeously feminine design with the corset-esque ties, ribbon-stiched straps, romantic black lace and satin bow. Totally my idea of something sexy and pretty but still chic and tasteful! ... As completely ridiculous as it sounds, it almost makes me emotional, because back in the days when I wore ugly, ill-fitting 36D Kohl's minimizers because I didn't know any better and felt super embarrassed of my chest, I never dreamed that bras like this could come in my size! Now that I've found the glorious world of Polish lingerie, I'll never be going back https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

The fit is also pretty great: the wires follow my IMF perfectly, the gore tacks, and the band is decently firm. As compared to my CHP Klaudyna, this one seems just ever so slightly more open on top, which I think is better for my shape. It gives a more subtle cakes on a plate cleavage, versus the more obvious, deep Y-shape cleavage the PL shape gives. Both types have their respective advantages, but the CHP just seems more practical for lower, square-cut necklines and gives a perfect, basket-ball round profile I can only otherwise achieve in Cleo Marcie! I have a feeling this one will be receiving lots of wear... I think it might be my new favorite!

    *Pictures are without pads.

Me: very soft tissue; Measurements: UB 68/72 cm (26.5/28.5"), Bust 87/92 (34/36.5")

Oh gosh, this bra is so very much to my taste and very beautiful and intricate. It's like an even naughtier version of Cappuccino. The cups and straps are made of the same color, but the "eyelash" lace overlay is more elegant. The lacing on the cup is actually laced - it's not just sewn on - but it doesn't show under shirts. I really like the oversized bows Ewa is using lately too. I am SO happy about the included half-pads for asymmetry also.

As for fit, I ... think the cup is fairly true to size, or at least the cup volume is close to the 65E Ametyst that I have. Ametyst has unusually flexible wires however so it is difficult to judge from that. From my experience with Gazeta, I was sure Famme Fatale would be too large, but it seems to fit fine even without the padding (my pictures are without on the larger side).

The wires are very firm and quite supportive and don't allow my soft tissue to settle to the sides, so I don't get any east-west action (an issue I struggle with in other CHPs with softer wires). This yields excellent cleavage that still feels secure. The wings are a little higher than the previous season CHPs which is great for corralling any skin in the armpit. It's not enough to poke you in the armpit though - it's like 1/2"/1 cm.

This band feels quite stretchy to me. Normally I am comfortable on the loosest hooks, but I fastened this one on the 2nd and 3rd hook (and even the last) with ease right out of the box. I'm not sure I want to go to a 65E however, because the cup proportions fit me better on the 70 band. Hopefully it won't stretch quickly.

Ah man! You always get the bras I want and make me want them so much more... Must hold off until January! Lucky you!

    • MearCat I might have to enter Bra Buyer's Anonymous. The first step is to acknowledge there is a problem.

To torture you even more, I bet this one will fit you. . . The top is open and I know that's what you are looking for. If you thought the other 70s were too loose, you'll want to size down I think, though I've now decided to mark this as a fit (albeit a little loosely) because the cups are really great.

    • Seriuosly. It's like I start looking at a bra and with in like two weeks you have it! As soon as people suggested the CHP this is the first one I wanted! The only thing I'm really concerned about is I thought it was shallow in the bottom.

The 70s bands are like... just right. Not too tight, not too loose. I'm on the second hook, but there's four hooks so I'm not tooooo worried. I thought you were thinking about returning this one?

    • The CHPs aren't shallow at all. There's plenty of space in the bottom of the cup.

I was really on the fence about 65 vs 70 (as I'm right on the border between the two), but after wearing around today, I'm fine on the second hook so I'm going to keep it. The 70DD is shorter in the cup than the 65E which suits me better anyway.

    • Shorter in the cup as in lower? Yeah, I'm on the bigger end of the 65-70 range. But the 70 seems perfect. What's the difference between the CHP and CH btw?

HALLE-FRICKIN-LUJAH. The darn thing fits. And without an extender, too. Mind you, the wings are mesh, so it's probably one of Ewa's looser 70s, but still.

In an absolutely objective assessment, I have slightly too much projection relative to this wire width; there's an itsy bit of wrinkling dead center at the bottom of the cup, and I am thisclose to nipping out of the top. Know what? DON'T CARE. I am lifted, supported, and protected from nipple meteorology updates without gore float, wire dig, cup gape, or (just barely) amputation via shoulder strap. This is THE ONE, ladies and gentlemen.

BRB, off to buy ALL THE CHPs.

(P.S. -- This style is obscenely sexy, too.)

I got this bra in this size because my gazette felt so tight. However, this one feels quite a bit too big. I wore it on the tightest hook almost immediately. Sigh.

The wires look too wide, but I don't feel miserable or super adjusty in them.

This was my first EM order and as I'm three months pregnant my size has been difficult to determine in regular brands I was somewhat nervous. I am usually a 28g in Freya Deco, but had been spilling out of 28gg and 30gg Decos and @Masquerade Rhea and Delphi. Me: firm breast tissue and quite full on top.
I was unsure of my back size in EM due to conflicting reviews of 'band runs tight' and 'they use the +4 method so size down' so I bought some 65 backs and some 70 backs in my first order. This bra in particular is stunning as ... other reviewers have commented - husband was speechless https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />.
The cup size fits perfectly and gives a gorgeous up front rounded projected look with great cleavage but not too squished together - I now understand what everyone raves about. The back is a bit too big and I have to wear it on the tightest hooks - I'd really prefer the 65 back (I like firm bands) but have kept this one in anticipation of my rib cage expanding during pregnancy. Hopefully the back won't stretch out too much - (I'll update the review if it does).
I was really worried that the gore would be too high for me (Rhea digs in at the sternum) but its fine, the bra is very comfortable.
I live in Australia and posted the order on the 21st January, it arrived on the 3rd February which I thought was excellent.

  7. Famme Fatale had a lot of success and it has sold out quickly. When I finally could buy it, my regular size was no longer available. I decided to try 65dd which works quite good in CHP Cappuccino. I was expecting the cups to be a little small but acceptable since the CHP style has open cup edge, especially those without edging on the cups.

When I first saw it, I was sure it will be too small, the cups seemed minuscule. In reality, the cups run a little smaller than in other CHPs, the edge is more closed because of the corset tie which makes cups more ... rigid. As a result, I have a nice cleavage which goes rather good with this design. The underwires are flexible in this size so the center gore doesn't lay perfectly flat, but it's not an inconvenient for me, first because the cup edge doesn't cut into the breast tissue, and second because my sternum is extremly fragile and I can hardly support any contact with the wires.

The straps look the same as in Milady etc but they seem a little larger. The band is firm. I would recommend to size up if you're between two band sizes.

I won't say nothing original about the design, it's one of the most beautyful Effuniaks ever (imho), the lace is much more delicate than in Cappuccino, the corset tie was a great idea, my only regret is about the colour of the nude part of the cups which is to dark for my skin and unfortunately it doesn't give the impression "it is tied directly on skin" https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

    EDIT:

I realised that the CHP construction in FF has been changed compared to the CHP Cappuccino in the same size. I feel there's more support and less "bounsing", the breast is more "centered". I noticed some differences visually and decided to measure the both bras.

    - The middle part of the cup, the one between two vertical seams, is thinner in FF.
    - The part of the cup between the wire under the armpit and the strap is longer in FF (maybe EM decided to listen to her English customers? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> )
    - The cup edge between the strap and the center gore is shorter in FF.

I also find the underwires a little less flexible in FF comparing to Cappuccino.

    • Hi, I'm thinking of ordering this bra in this size, what are your measurements and UK bra size if you have one? Mine are 25" BTT, 26" normal not snug, 36.5" standing and 37.5" leaning so US 26K and I normally take an UK 28 HH/J bra...
      Thanks,
      N

    • My usual bra size is 26JJ in Polish bras, I don't wear British bras anymore so can't really give you a UK bra size :/

erm, not comfortable giving out measurements but I'm around 24" BTT, 25" snug, and 39" leaning I think?

    • Thanks, yeah it made me uncomfortable sharing my info too, but I've found that numbers are the most accurate way to guesstimate the size and fit. I also am phasing out my British bras as I've discovered that the wires are far too wide for me and 28 bands even parfait "tight" ones all ride up in an hour. I also seem to be losing weight around the ribcage which is making the problem worse. I'm small framed and narrow so switching to Comexim has been a great decision.
Ewa's size chart is just wrong so I've been left to order bras based on wire length + cup depth and measurements of people who wear that size, so I may be a 55J, I think.

I want to try Ewa Michalak but their sizing is completely different it seems, do you wear Comexim? if so what size?

    • I do have one Comexim, in size 55N, but unfortunately the shape is a bit too shallow for me, it doesn't fit me like some EM bras can do

I'm not an expert with EM bras so I can't really give much advice. Though in small band big cup sizes like ours EM is still a bit too wide for me, not as bad as British bras but it can be a little uncomfortable still. The S shape from Ewa is a godsend with it's narrow wires!

    • I agree, all of my British bras have the orange in a glass effect for me-far too shallow and wide with wrinkling in the bottom of the cup and breast tissue escaping at the top.

In Comexim, I also wear 55N/O (in tighter, embroidered styles)...strange how we have different measurements but wear the sameish size?...shape may have something to do with it, b/c most calculators for me are multiple sizes off.
That's the funny thing, this bra is exactly the same underwire length and cup depth as all of my well fitting bras (although at 28 in band may be a bit loose)...

    • Haha, pretty much! I got really disappointed with that Carmen longline - I really want a longline but the shallowness of that made me sad :(

I'm not entirely sure what my Comexim size is since tbh Comexim is just not the right shape for me at all, I can't quite put my finger on why though :(

Yeah we do have quite different measurements, I think because my boobs are pretty firm they can fit into smaller cup sizes? I'm not too sure, I'm just happy I have a few 26 banded bras haha :)

    • I have the CK Carmen longline too, yeah the entire Curvy Kate line has very shallow cups, wide wires and too far apart straps. Their 28 bands are far too loose even on the last hook, so I use them for "show" only-pretty designs though, esp the showgirl range :(
Comexim gives a very projected, rounded out shape. It's not for everybody esp if you don't have very narrow U shaped roots. Ewa Michalak is the happy medium of both, so narrow but not sitting on breast tissue as much.

Yeah you have almost 3 inches of breast tissue more than me and yet we more or less wear the same size...it could be because my breasts are of a...spherical shape so equally full on top as bottom requiring more space? hmmn not sure

wait were you thinking of selling this bra? But I get the impression that you like it though :)

I used to buy British bras on here as they are far more economical than anything so Comexim was a bit more pricy and Ewa...lets just say I've never paid more than 40 for a bra, so wincing at the cost projected cost of catering to 26 backs! :O

    • and wow just checked out your profile and we wear the same size on quite a few bras! My Carmen and tease mes are also both 28HH (should have gotten J's though b/c they are too small in the cup), my Panache sport is also 28H, and I take a 28J is Bravissimo bras...we may indeed be the same size despite the vast difference in measurements

    • yup, Curvy Kate is awful for me :( just waiting on that new Comexim and Cleo longlines!

no idea :/ strange how different measurements can be!

nope, sorry, I love this bra too much haha!

yeah we might be size twins! Though all those British bras I bought when I was a bit smaller, like I honestly haven't bought a British bra in over a year! But I am really tempted into some new Cleo designs...

    • I think it's because measurements don't cover volume...

and yeah I wouldn't sell a bra so stunning! I might finally give in and get it though, just not sure what size to get maybe 55J.

I had the Cleo Marcie and was not a fan of the fact that it had 2 hooks. Their bands are tighter than CK which is a plus but I definitely like 4+ hooks. A bustier would be nice too.

Comexim and Cleo make longlines?? What are they called? I've been searching for longline bras-those would be the best!

    • Yeah that makes sense haha

It is a really stunning bra :) to have such a beautifully designed bra in our kind of bra size range is amazing!

Yeah, I do prefer 3 hooks at the very least, they just get so heavy sometimes :(

Cleo is releasing a longline in SS15 and Comexim have put up a preview of a longline so yeah looks like we gotta watch out for them!

    • agreed, I'm glad at least a few companies are picking up the customers who can't shop at Victoria's Secret etc.

and yeah just saw a post on longlines from
them-really excited! Wish it would come in nude color though. I seriously love longlines––which is why I have a tough time getting rid of my Carmen––the back support from it is the best even though the fit isn't.

    • yes exactly! It's such a shame that we can't ~really~ buy stuff physically in shops anymore - I can't really fit well into anything at Bravissimo :(

yes! the longlines look nice but $90 is a bit steep... might have to really think about that one haha!
Yes exactly, it took a lot of thinking for me to return my carmen :( Kinda glad I did though cause I really would never have used it since the cups fit so badly on me...

    • yeah I'm not ready to pay more than double for a longline- the only benefit is the addition of two more hooks than what I have...so as someone pinching my pennies, I'm hoping Comexim will have the patterns available at cheaper prices in the future...otherwise wistful wishing it is!
My most expensive bras will be from Ewa though...just very annoying that I am a custom size and if it doesn't fit...I've just wasted a lot of money :(

    • That's what I'm hoping for too, especially that Wellfitting doesn't even do alterations and I wanted reduced cups for my next comexim order :( but I heard that Comexim themselves aren't thinking about longlines anytime soon :(

yeah I understand your feelings :( I was really nervous first ordering from Ewa, luckily, I managed to get the right size! If it doesn't fit and it's a 26 band, I'm sure you can sell it really quick anyway, Ewas go quick lol.

    • What exactly are reduced cups? I asked Anna for a skintone longline and I'm still waiting for her response. If the contract goes through, I'll let you know :D

Not sure about the Ewas going quick though...some of the more rarer sizes have been sitting for around a year...I may get a few regardless :O

    • I think they reduce the amount of material near the armpit? tbh I'm not entirely sure!
yes please let me know! the longline designs on wellfitting just aren't my kind of designs unfortunately :(

you probably will! :D I've managed to sell all my Ewas no problem haha
