    Didn't fit

Wow, this is the most impressed I've been by a bra that doesn't fit me. The wires are laughably wide on me, but they don't poke or feel uncomfortable at all. The cups are too shallow and my breasts don't fill out the bottom of the cup, and yet it still feels very supportive and gives a smooth profile. The least comfortable thing for me is that the band feels fairly tight, but even that is surprisingly more comfortable than it should be. The pressure of the band is more spread out than other tight bands. Despite how clearly this doesn't fit me, I actually considered keeping it! I will definitely be trying to sister-size down to the right cup size.

Quality and material feels excellent. Very soft and smooth. It's definitely not the most attractive sports bra, but I prefer to work out with a shirt on anyway.

  2. So, I found out today that the solid colors of this bra fit differently than the patterned ones. The solids run larger/baggier than the patterns. You can see a significant difference in the pictures for this one. Also, the measurements are significantly different as well, mainly the band and the cup height (it’s taller than the patterned ones).

Overall, the fit is just fine. It’s a little roomy in the cups, but it passes the bounce test, so I’m keeping it. I do find that the patterned version is a more tailored fit to my shape, though. I don’t do a lot of intense working out, mostly spin and yoga, but this bra is great for those uses, too.

    Didn't fit

Using ABTF, I calculated my measurement to be 40H/40HH (UK) as a starting point. I’ve seen a few reviews saying this should may run a little small. It does contain all my breast tissue, but the wire eventually starts to irritate me as it is taller and wider than what is ideal for my shape and frame. Aside from that though, this is the first bra that lifts and supports my breasts and for that - I love it. I’ve learned more about bras and my shape in the last few weeks then I have in my whole life. My shape has major projection and I’m full on top, with minimal on bottom. I’m not entirely sure if the 40GG would have been a better fit, but I believe a smaller cup size (the 40 band is perfect for me) would not elevate the issues I have with the height and wire (wire leads under my arm past my root) Still learning but this was a good first try. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I think sports bras sometimes fit a bit different than regular bras, but that does look slightly big on you. Elomis also tend to run wide. Hopefully you can find some even better fitting bras in the future!

    • 1

Thanks so much! I think I saw @Elomi has one that might not be as wide. I think it's the Morgan style - I'll definitely try to experiment with smaller cups sizes. I recently picked up the panache Sports Bra 40GG and it's a bit too small in the cup. So I'll definitely have to keep note of the different brands and their fit. Whereas the 40H may have been too big in Elomi, it may have been perfect in panache if that style had gone that size. Or it could be the shape of the bra.. This is definitely an art. Heh :)

    • congratulatons on finding a bra thats fit so well. It is a lovely bra and does looks to fit you quite well.

    • "definitely an art"--totally agree, 50shadesofviolet Thrilled you can love this one! Best of luck during your search!

    32J

    Fits

Finally I'm reviewing this one. I've had it for about 2 months now but only in the last few weeks I was wearing it more often. So I can say more about how it wears now.
First about the bra: The Elomi Sports bra features underwires and non padded cups. The material is very high quality, sturdy and at the same time it is very soft to the touch. I really have no complains about it and I'm usually sensitive to itchy fabric. The wires are rather wide (like Elomi brand is known for) and quite tall. The wires don't bother me under my arms. The shoulder straps are ... wide and comfortable. I have no issues. Also the bra itself does so much support that I can almost wear it with straps off if I need relief on my shoulders.

The cups are wide, tall and of average depth (I wouldn't call them shallow, but they definitely keep the boobs close to chest as opposed to a projected cup shape). The wide wires don't bother me on this bra, I think the shape is even better to keep boobs close to chest. If It had more narrow wires there have to be deeper cups and more projection which would affect support and allow for more jiggling / movement of the boobs in the bra. I also do very well with the tall cups, no breast tissue is escaping. I actually think that the bra fits me in this size because it is tall and wide! If it weren't I'd need to size up for depth. I feel some light pressure on my sternum from the gore, but it is bearable. I also feel that my boobs are pushed close to my chest, but it it is nowhere near that constricting feeling I get in padded bras that do the same. For example 32J - Panache Sport » Sports Bra (5021) gave me pain and I had trouble breathing after wearing it for 30 min and this Elomi bra I can wear for a full day.

Wearing experience: The bra saved my neck! That's why I love it. Last week I suddenly got terrible neck pain, my boobs had lost some upper fullness and all my bras were ill-fitting. This already caused me pain. I had no smaller bras at hand to help me and I tried to wear my 32JJ with the band on tightest setting which helped some, then I remembered my neglected sports bra. Oh the relief!!! I wore the bra as an everyday bra and it helped me so much with the pain. I also wore it for full day of moving around boxes and stuff and house cleaning and it was amazing. Under clothing it looks good enough, it is not noticable that it is not an average bra. I will add clothed pics. I jumped around a bit and it feels okay, it really limits the movement of my boobs.

This was much more pointy than the 40J - Elomi » Energise Uw Sports Bra With J Hook (8041) but I’m not sure if that is because the bra is too small or if this colorway is older and slightly different. I’m kind of mad there is no 42HH in this bra- it makes no sense that there is a 42H and a 40J but no 42HH! Who thought that was a good idea?!?!

I might wear the 40J with an extender because I need a sports bra and this is the closest to fitting I can find.

    Didn't fit

This is my regular size in Elomi. I usually size down one cup from my Panache/Curvy Kate size.

Fit: I had no support and containment in the cups because there was no projection at the bottom so my breast tissue spilled out the armholes (which were super high!). Also, it was so tall on the sides it was quite uncomfortable to move my arms (not great for activities). It was SO POINTY. My breasts actually couldn't fill out the points completely. A really terrible shape on me in general. The band, however, was just right: firm and supportive without cutting off air.

Comfort: Nice soft thick fabric. Elomi's elastics and materials are always top of the line. The thick straps were also quite comfortable. However, the fit precluded any real comfort.

Style: I liked the bright red-pink, which is Elomi's thing (I have three or four bras from them in a similar color). If only the fit was right!

I bought this bra with the expectation I would be able to skip while wearing it Boy was rough. Let's give a round of applause for false advertising and gullible fuller busted women. It is great for light work out like yoga but I am not wearing it to run, jump, hop or skip. My breasts are too large for that. I would like a sports bra that doesn't permit my girls to bounce 🙄🙄

That said it is a great fitting bra very comfortable with no spillage, no straps digging in, the J hook is all types of comfortable.

    • Hmm, maybe Enell?
If you're in the US - there's actually many retailers and one can even purchase them through Amazon, but the last time I checked, Breakout Bras had the most selection of colours and sizes, these are made in the USA too. https://www.breakoutbras.com/collections/enell (disclaimer: I have not actually tried them, but have read good things! Lol. And there's supposed to be also top-notch quality.) B/c it is an expensive bra, I would keep the tags on when I try it on!

This is a bra that is so incredibly firm and supportive. I do not move a single inch when wearing this while running or exercising. It's so firm that I have a hard time getting my hand inside of it to scoop and swoop, and I feel the wire almost bruising my left rib. It has a weird seam going across the middle of the cup that kind of folds in at the apex, so it looks almost as if you have an inverted nipple of sorts. If I could get rid of the wrinkles at the apex, this bra would be almost everything.

My shape: projected, soft tissue, narrow shoulders and roots, FOB
Fit: Elomi is out of my size range, but I really wanted to try their sports bra anyways. As I figured, the cups are too large on me, and it makes me sad because I really love the looks and feel of this bra. It's silky smooth, firm band, and cute colors! I guess I'm stuck with my Panache Sports bras.
This has a J-hook clip, so you can make it a racerback style bra if you prefer that.

    Same as: http://bra.pe/X5Gx/

This bra did not fit correctly when I bought it when I was a 34HH/J. I have not tried it since being a 32GG, but best guess is it won’t fit properly either. The cups in this one seem narrower/shallower than the 36H I have. (Obviously, since they’re not even sister sizes.)

I’ve since become a devout Panache Sport wearer, so this one will be going in the listings once I measure it.
