If you are full on top and/or center, this bra will not fit. Very shallow cups. The quality doesn't feel too good either - the foam in the cups feels like it would curl outwards and the lacy band is not supportive at all. The straps fold in on each other and become annoyingly thin.
I love this bra. It is a beautiful purple and the cups fit perfectly. The band is a little on the big side, but not to the point that it is unwearable. It is sized more like a 30 and less like a 28 like many other bras in the brand are. The underwire does go a little high in the arm pit, but it is still wearable. I am worried about the thin lace of the bra holding up to wear, so I'll have to update the review as I wear it.
This bra is not the prettiest in the world, but it fits. I am not a fan of the color/design. It looked much prettier online then it does in person. The band fits firmly for a 30, more like a 28. Dimity So bras are made by the same designer that does Elle MacPherson bras, so the smaller band makes sense. I ordered up a band size, keeping the same cup size. So normally I would order a 28FF, in this bra I ordered a 30FF and I have the same fit.
This bra is one I wear a lot but that is only because it is the only bra I have that fits me 100%. I don't know what they were thinking when they made these straps but they are terrible! The front half is made of a thick unstretchy satin and there are square shaped clasps that join the cup and the strap. These clasps twist and poke into you all day! The same thing happens on the back where the straps join the band. The straps themselves are so slippery that they loosen continually so you have to shorten them once or twice a day. It is also not very supportive in the soft cup and makes your breasts look a little too "natural" (droopy!)
This bra is very comfortable (even when a size too small) but the quality is terrible! The lining on the inside tore when I was trying it on in the changing room - in fact, the only reason I bought it was because I damaged it and it was a $5 clearance bra. After a few wears it is actually alright and gives a nice natural round shape so it's good under T-shirts but the fabric quality is very poor.
I love the fabric on this bra, a kind of stretch satin, unfortunately it is uncomfortably small in the band for me. Lovely for summer, with narrow straps. The wires poke me a bit under the arms.
Seems to be very shallow and wide - lace on the band is somewhat scratchy (I have sensitive skin). The straps are also very far apart and go into my armpits when attached.
Bra is so nice looking, quality is great but construction sucks. In my opinion all bras (G+)made by Bendon are pretty, made from nice fabric but construction is very bad. East-west look, boobs not lifted enough.
Such a cute bra. Really should be wearing a larger cup size as I spill out the top if all the breast tissue is pulled up where it should be. It doesn't help that it has half adjustable straps; I'm tallish (5'8"+) and my boobs start higher on my chest & unfortunately, this bra doesn't adjust low enough. Good support though & a nice, rounded shape without being pushed up with in your face cleavage. And the fabric is lovely & silky.
Gorgeous vintage floral pattern with silky grey back & straps. Has a very thin layer of padding (just enough to smooth & prevent nipple peekage). Really wish I had it in a smaller band size (reviews said back ran small but definitely not in my case) as this is too large & as such, doesn't give me enough support. Otherwise a lovely bra (sweetly sexy) that gives great shape.
Besides a too loose band, the center gore is super wide so that the breast get pushed apart. Ended up altering this one (taking the gore in) which gave a nicer shape. Overall gives a natural shape (slightly rounded, not too lifted) and the fabric is very soft & comfortable. Not wowed by this one but ok for every day.
Australian brand DimitySo by Elle MacPherson Intimates run 1 size smaller on their band. I purchased the same cup size because the bra was A) less expensive than alternatives, B) relatively comfortable and C) the range only goes up to a G.
I find it to be relatively stiff and the wires make creaky noises sometimes when I move which is really weird. Also it only gives a relatively small amount of shape to my G's but it is still wearable, has adorable matching briefs and perhaps the most important part is since I have the "After Dark" color (more of a super deep indigo-ink-purple than black) I am not afraid of it showing under tops or tanks.
I've tried on other styles of the same brand and none rivaled this. However, I don't think I'll consider purchasing anymore DimitySo in the future as they just don't give me much support nor are they particularly flattering to my shape. Same goes with Elle MacPherson's namesake line.
Feb 7, 2012 - I am happy to report that I personally fitted a friend into 3 of my bras, that went unworn by me for well over a year each! They have now found a happy home. :) She fit:
** She reports the Freya to be her best overall fit. Although the other bras tried out were Freya's Leona 30FF Balcony, Cleo's Alex 30G Plunge, they did not work for her.
This bra is a good looking bra, but the top of the cup fits oddly. The top of the cup has a slight wrinkle when worn. The band in a little looser than other DimitySo bras which makes it too big for me. The cups are a little too far apart for my comfort and the straps are on the long side.
This bra is soft and VERY thin. This is not the bra to be wearing when you need nipple coverage. The fabric is very thin, just 2 layers of meshy type lace. I am a little worried about the fabric holding up, so I'll have to add to this review later after more wear. The underwire of this bra goes pretty far into the armpit. There is also not a lot of give to it. This is one of those bras that will have to be broken in to feel comfortable. The purple is a very pretty color, but the flower in the center gore is a little on the large side. The floral edging is pretty with out being obnoxious or obvious. The band on this bra is tighter than a normal 30 band and does not have as much stretch to it. I like the fit of this band and I normally need a 28.
