No alterations - the cut of this one seems a little small somehow, as if the cup is shorter than usual. A gorgeous combination of colors - the band is very stretchy on this one, so there must be something about the fabric to account for. I seem to prefer a 65 band however for comfort. This is a soft, pretty little bra that gives you the vague impression that you might have been a princess in another life and this bra is your reigning crown!!

• Looking forward to reading more, esp how you feel about the fit as compared to EM S. Looks a little shallower maybe? and certainly more closed on top

• Yeah, it's definitely different than the S. I think it's because it's a true plunge (even with all of my modifications) whereas the S is more of a balconette. If you look at the line along the top of the cups, the Comexim makes a sharp V (from top of cup down to gore back up to top of other cup) and the S is more of a wide V, more straight across. The Comexim is really more comparable to an Ewa PL bra rather than an S, at least in my experience.

  I've added a pic of an Ewa PL to that imgur link (http://imgur.com/a/XhzZN) I posted earlier so you can see a quick comparison of a 32HH - Cleo » Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831), 75HH - Ewa Michalak » S Lolitka (403), 75J - Ewa Michalak » S Orzechowa Pralinka (711), 70JJ - Ewa Michalak » Pl Blekitna Rapsodia (658), and 70N - Comexim » Sonia Plunge. Again, all are a bit too small for me due to a smidge of weight gain (*sigh*) that I will hopefully lose soon! I know having only the front view doesn't give you the full picture, but hopefully it'll help a bit. I have measurements for all, so you can always click those Bratabase links to compare gore height, etc.

  The Comexim is more comfortable, but the S bra is definitely more secure. The Comexim's gore height is 4.1" and the S bra's is 4.3", so not that different -- but the angle along the top of the cups is quite different.

• Also, did you see the Anna Pardal in the Facebook group yesterday? It's a size UK 32KK (converts to 70P Comexim size). She estimates she wears a 30K in Panache (her 30JJ Envy is too small), so that sounds just like what she'd probably her EM size as well (going up 1 cup + 1 band to 32KK). That'll be my new rule -- for Comexim with alterations, use your padded EM size. :)

• Oh, yes, I did see that. I really think a true plunge like that will never work for my center/top full boobs. Even the S does not have enough center fullness for me, but at least it doesnt cut in - i just have to shift my boobs every so often. thats why I DID love the floris, when it fit - it actually contained that inner/upper quadrant I have too much of. But if you go up a size, the shape is no longer compatible with me, apparently. Whereas S seems to scale similarly to how I do.

  i really would prefer something more full coverage to hold/separate my boobs, that was narrow enough, immediate-projection enough . . . i dont think you could even custom-make a bra that would really fit these. and i'm hoping to lose weight too!!

• dbmamaz Sounds like you really prefer full coverage bras. The thing with bras like Comexim (and some EMs) is that ever-so-slight lack of projection offers a bit of uplift and compression, which makes the top of boobs and cleavage look awesome. A bra that is nothing but pure projection is going to be what I call a "boob sling", and I personally don't want to wear that type of bra (I have no interest at all in the BM, for example). I would prefer my boobs/cleavage look better (and more youthful) rather than just having 100% projection. I have saggy boobs as well, and my stretch marks and skin just look better when in a bra like Comexim or EM that has projection that halts towards the apex. Maybe Comexim and (and maybe even EM S) aren't the best for you if your concern is just projection. I need/want projection, but I also have other boxes to tick in my bra-quest -- if I wear any clothing that will remotely show a hint of boobage, I want my the top of my boobs and/or cleavage to look their best, and padded EM and Comexim do that for me. :)

  Good thing there are lots of different kinds of bras for varying wants/needs out there. ;-)

• I feel like the problem is really my body shape tho. The slightest shallowness usually makes the bra slide down and be super painful on my ribs. I really think my rib cage is so short and my boobs so low, that its easy for the wire to slip down over the bottom of the last rib and there's a really tender point there.

  And I fall out without top/inner coverage . . . i cant look good if my boobs have climbed out of the bra and are quadding all over the place. I have not found anything but full-coverage immediate-projection bras that dont slip/get pushed down by my mighty boobs. As I said, even the S is a problem that way. They climb out and push the bra down.

  My BM Fuksja is slightly shallow on the bottom and slides down. My BM Perla was always too small so I fell out. My newest BM is a full band size too short and I havent made the commitment to wear it a full day yet . . havent washed it yet. It seemed better projected at the bottom than the fuksja tho.

  I rarely wear anything that purposefully shows cleavage - not now at 50, rarely when I was younger, either. So thats just never been an issue for me. the super-projected Floris gave me a much better shape under full-coverage, high-neck clothing than anything else.

  Still not sure I have the right bra, at least not for me at this size.

• Argh, I can't edit, but I meant to say that not for everyday, but for some occasions/outfits I want a plunge. Most of us ladies who wear larger cups, are saggy, soft, and center full (yes, me too) have a hard time wearing plunges, and the alterations Comexim offers make it possible (and EM PLs). Granted, they're not perfect if you want lots of stability, but if you want to wear a plunge fairly successfully, then it's great! Ladies in our size range don't have a lot of great choices for plunges, so these bras offer an option that's better than most. Sure, I don't wear a plunge everyday, but I'm glad I have them when I want to wear them. Sure, they don't have 100% projection to the apex and I don't stay contained 100% of the time, but the design is what gives great looking boobs and a nice shape.

  I guess what I'm trying to say is it's not really fair to compare "full coverage bra" requirements with a plunge. They each have their own function, and a plunge would no longer be a plunge if it met all the requirements of a full coverage bra, no? If you sizes up a lot in a Comexim, you might be able to simulate a balconette/full coverage, but at the end of the day, it's still based on a plunge pattern. It's apples to oranges.

• Ok - i guess, i'm just explaining why I dont want plunges. at all. ever lol. Not really comparing them, just saying they dont work for me. and ppl who are less center-heavy can wear them every-day. maybe not in our size range, idk

  Ah, the ribcage thing would be a problem. I'm the opposite -- even though I'm short, my torso is very long and my boobs are somewhat high set (I am all torso with short legs and arms lol). I have lots of room to go before anything will slide down below my ribs. I am not full on top, either. I'm more even fullness than full on top. I only get pushed out of the top of bras if they're too small.

  We're similar, yet very different! ;-)

• dbmamaz Hey, I did a little experiment that I wanted to show you. I took pics wearing 2 bras at a time so you can see how the gore/cup compares. I did it with the Ewa Michalak PL, S, and the Comexim plunge since they're all sister-sizes of each other. Hopefully that gives a better visual comparison of all. • so the pralinka has the highest gore but the comexim is higher towards the outside of the cup. even the pralinka gore looks lower than what I really want. Does the higher cup towards the outside of the front make the bra more stable / less jiggling?

• Ok, a few things:

  (1) Wearing 2 bras at once will give an exaggerated view of top boob/cleavage. It really pushes everything out there (try it -- you'll see!) Don't look at the amount of boob spilling over; this was simply to **compare the bra cuts for informational purposes only**, NOT their fit on me. Again, they're all too small for me at the moment anyway, so wearing 2 at a time made it seem even worse!

  (2) All of the bras are in a size smaller than your preferred size of 75JJ. They're also too small for me at the moment, so one size up (again, 75JJ) would have slightly higher cups and gore. All of the bras shown are 70JJ/75J.

  (3) The S bra still feels more secure. The Comexim does have more fabric on the outside, but most of my tissue is on the inside, so that outside fabric doesn't help much in that regard. Again, it's a plunge, not a full-cup bra. It's not going to perform like a full coverage bra, and I don't expect it to.

  I'm not trying to convince you to buy one or anything. Just thought I'd give you this information because I've noticed you've asked lots of questions and had some speculation (not to me, just on Bratabase in general) about Ewa PLs and Comexims. I figured pics from someone actually near your size would be helpful as anything else.

  Also, you mentioned the Comexim looks shallow, but I have to strongly disagree now. The S bra is more shallow. The reason I say that is because when I wore the Comexim over the S bra, there was a tiny bit of empty fabric near the gore that wasn't filled. The S bra underneath smooshed everything down. Shallow = smooshed; projected = away from the body.

  Again, this was just for info purposes since you haven't tried the PL or a Comexim and seem curious, that's all. Don't look at the boobs -- just the bras! ;-)

• Eh, we're kinda getting way off topic from my Sonia review, but yeah, I've tried Jasmine (here: 32J - Panache » Jasmine (6951) ). I tried the very first Jasmine after it was initially released. You'll see the date on my entry as Dec. 2012, so that was over 3 years ago! That was one of the first somewhat well-fitting bras I tried, so I've had lots of migration and change since then. I personally didn't like it at all, but I don't really like full coverage bras, plus I found it very uncomfortable and stiff. I was the odd person that didn't like it because most people hail it as their Holy Grail bra, so don't go by my opinion! I haven't tried it since the very first colorway either, so it could have improved since then.

  Personally, I think 32K will be WAY too big. I wouldn't go with your padded Ewa size. Size down from that to get your UK size. Remember, you sized UP from your UK size to get your EM padded size. If the 32JJ Floris was too big for you, then I definitely wouldn't go up a size from that in the Jasmine, which are both Panache bras. Although, there is a good chance your 32JJ Floris is a mislabel or something since it's so much bigger. Side note: people like to give Ewa Michalak crap for being inconsistent, but I think other brands like Panache are just as bad. I've encountered my fair share of weird sizing in other brands just as often.

  Plus, the Jasmine has stretch lace, so the cup could feel *even bigger.* The stretch lace portion won't feel supportive if it's too big and baggy.

  I compared your 32J Floris/32JJ Floris/75J BM Bibi Fuksja/32K Jasmine, and the Jasmine has the biggest cup depth of them all (no surprise). http://bra.pe/CILm/ 32K Jasmine's wires are also wider than those other bras, so that will make it feel even larger. I really think 32K will swamp you. You'd be better off with 32JJ or even 32J. The cups have stretch lace at the top, so that gives you a little wiggle room with size. A lot of people wear a cup size down in Jasmine because the stretch lace is so forgiving.

  If you have more Jasmine questions, maybe start an adventure? A deep discussion about Jasmine on a Comexim review won't get much traffic. ;)

  Also, I'd suggest taking a look at brasandbodyimage's blog. She is close in size, except a band size down. She reviews Floris and Jasmine on her blog, and she takes 30JJ in both. http://brasandbodyimage.com/

• ^^ Also, I meant to add at the time when I tried the 32J - Panache » Jasmine (6951), I could have sized down to 32HH. I didn't like how the bra felt, so I never got another size to try. Again, that was over 3 years ago, so I can't say if I am the same size that I was then (although, I was probably a bit smaller then). Don't let how that bra fit me 3 years ago influence how it may fit you. :)

• thanks - a fitter brought me a too-small jasmine once and it was too narrow . . . not on the sides but the whole cup. sort of like how my floris fits now, i guess, not allowing for how full my boobs are.

• My 32JJ has reduced cups and *almost* fits. Reducing the cup does take away cup volume, but raising the gore seems to add it back in (if that makes any sense). Mine has reduced cups and higher gore, so that 34JJ would be a cup size larger. The 34JJ would probably be even bigger because it doesn't have moved in straps, which makes the cup a tad smaller. I'd bet that 34JJ is 1+ cup larger than mine.

  If it were me, I'd just order online. It's probably less $ than the gas and your time. Check her return policy on sale items in case you don't like it.

• This happened to me with Comexim Victoria in 65J. Quadboob when I stand up straight, and a teeny gape when I don't. I feel like I don't need a whole cup size up, so I also wondered about reduced cups in the larger size...

• I think I want to try to order a band size down next. I am thinking of ordering a 70L with reduced gore and cups, to see if that helps the fit issue. And I was thinking about ordering a 65 M with reduced gore and cups to see if that will give me the band snugness I want. I just have to finally make myself spend the money, lol.

  FWIW now and for future reference, I don't find their bands to run one size small as a rule. I do find their bands that are allover lace, Geisha for example, to be tighter because the lace fabric is less stretchy. For the most part, their bands are TTS on me, with a handful running big. My Brigitte and Free Time run almost a full size big, and it's well discussed around here that Basic is a stretchy band too. I stick with a 60 band in everything and that's been safe for me. If I happen to get one that runs tighter, that's what an extender is for until it breaks in.
