    Used to fit

I first thought Marcie in 30E fit me perfectly (I measure 28" supertight and 30" loose), but a 32 band is actually much more comfortable. The wires don't get distorted and widened by the band (they were a smidge too wide in the 30E), so they match my breast root perfectly.
Another big plus is that the wires don't dig into my sternum! This was a huge issue with the 30E and nothing seemed to help - cotton balls, bending the wires, 'wearing it in', I've had it all and nothing worked.
I get enough support from the 32 band and there is no shifting throughout the day.
The Marcie fits and looks great and gives a rounded and slightly uplifted shape.

Everyone should try sister-sizing up in unpadded Cleo bras if they don't fit comfortably! The fit is much better and more comfy if you try a wider band and the support is still great.

I measure 25" super tight, 26" comfortable and 27.5" loose. I find the 30 band Marcie is more comfortable than the 28 band. I could even wear a 32 band in Marcie and the band probably wouldn't ride up from being too big.

Shape: round, projected, even to FoB, close set, average root width.

I purchased this during my first round of finding a bra that fits, and settled into 32DDs from 36Cs. My true size is much closer to 30E, however, and this doesn't fit particularly well as a result. The band is super stretchy, and I was easily able to fasten on the second or third hook almost immediately. While the wires are too narrow for me in the 32DD and cut into the side of my breast tissue, perpexingly, the straps are set too wide, so there's about a thumbs-width of empty space near my tail o' spence in ... each cup. I struggle to fill out the top of the cup and get a little gapping at the lace edge after my breasts settle into the cup post scoop-n-swoop. The most interesting fit issue is that because I'm so close set, the gore, while it tacks, sits unevenly on my left breast, kind of like this: \ instead of this _. This is the only bra I own with this problem. I recently picked up a 30E in a different colorway, and it fits much better, but I still get uneven tacking in the gore.

    Fits

This is my 7th Marcie to review, so I'll keep it short.

It's the beige colorway in 32DD.

The band stretches to 31", so it's not quite as firm as the 'old' Marcies, but not as stretchy as the raspberry colored one (which stretched to 32.5" in the same band size).
My underbust is 27"/29" (tight/loose) and I prefer the firmness of the old Marcie. However, sizing down a whole band size in the beige would probably give me a band that's too tight and uncomfortable, considering the fact that Marcie is famous for digging wires.

The cups run quite big on this one, considerably bigger than on the candy pink colorway and also slightly bigger than the purple one.

Comparing all Marcie colorways I ever tried on by size (ordered large > small):

    Cup size:
    beige > raspberry > aquamarine/purple/black (babydoll) > candy pink

    Band size:
    raspberry > beige/candy pink > aquamarine/purple/black (babydoll)

I wanted to love this bra so much. It encapsulated my breast tissue pretty well and made my breasts feel awesome. However, the band was a little too tight, I had deep red and painful marks left from the wires. The band is stretchy so it doesn't feel tight at first, but after a couple hours of wear it becomes apparent that it's too tight. The gore poked my breast tissue and hurt so bad.

    • Have you tried Polish bras at all? Your reviews suggest you're quite projected for your size range. You may have luck with Comexim or Ewa Michalak - believe EM's wires are a bit wider than Comexims. Generally projected boobs have a narrower root, are you sure your roots wide?

    • I'm dying to try a Comexin or Ewa...I'm even looking at some Gossard bras. Unfortunately, I have no specialty bra stores in my state and these bras are too expensive to order just to see if they fit :(. I will continue to scour the internet! :)

    • Checked the listings here? Check out the subreddit /braswap too

Comexim or EM bras usually re sell pretty quickly around here too, if you did order from them & it didn't work.

The raspberry version of this bra is MUCH stretchier than all previous colorways.

For comparison: My 32DD purple Marcie stretches to ~30 inches (76cm), the 32DD raspberry color stretches to >32 inches (83cm).

You might want to consider this when ordering a raspberry colored Marcie. While 'sister size up for comfort' seemed to apply for all Marcies before, it's a good idea to keep your regular band size in this one.

(Cups, shape etc. appear to be true to size and similar to the old versions.)

    • I was told the band was very firm, so I ordered a size up and immediately returned it. I have it in a 32HH (I'm normally a 32J) and I've had it for a few months and already have to wear it on its tightest hooks. I'm waffling between buying a rixie clip for it and just getting rid of it. I've been very unhappy with the quality and this was my first Marcie

    • dbmamaz Are you talking about the raspberry colored version? Like I said, my review is only and specifically for that color and doesn't apply to the colors before.

    • Yes, I also have the raspberry. I've owned it for just a few months, as I said. Like

    • OK :)

I really love this bra. I purchased this 32DD after realizing that Cleo's 30 bands just run too tight for me. It's sweet and simple and I love the shape it gives me.
