I love this bra! It gives me a fantastic rounded shape and has wires that are the perfect width for me. The wires seem a little wider than Freya wires but not so wide as Curvy Kate. The bra gives a good bit of lift without cutting in.

I have this also in a 30FF, but the band is too loose for me on that one although the cups fit better. The band on this is true to size, nice and snug on me. But while the cups on the 30FF were a perfect fit, these are a bit big. The center gore doesn't lay flat either, I think because it's slightly wider than the 30 FF. The pink colorway is very pretty and I love the white embroidery on it. I do find the wires start to dig after several hours. I would've been better off staying with the ... larger band and altering it I think...I will see if it feels any better after a few more wears. It does give me slightly more lift than the other and the shape is just as round.

Edit: After breaking in this bra is comfortable to wear. I am going to try taking in the center gore a little and hopefully solve the fit issues with it. It's still quite big / wrinkly in the cup but a 28FF dug in...I guess I'm just between sizes.

I quite like this bra. It's pretty comfortable and the fit is good, except for the wires being a bit wider than I need and the gore is a bit stabby. It also provides decent support for such a thin, lacy bra. As others have said, this is a great choice for short, FOB breasts. I have little to no upper fullness and this fits snugly all over and gives a great rounded shape. The profile I get is similar to the 28G Marcie I tried on in a boutique, but this closes off better on top. The band is snug for a 28, which I prefer, and I like the colour and aesthetics of the bra. It does, however, seem to showcase my asymmetry more than most bras.

    • I might have to give Lucy another try. When I tried it a couple years back, it was the wrong size, and I didn't get a great fit. This one looks like it fits nicely... maybe worth another try for me.

    • I saw that you added this and pictures and have been waiting on you to review it. I’m glad that you like it. Gives me hope about the size and fit though I had been under the impression that the Lucy bands were stretchier than the Kali, but both of yours look like they’re tight. I probably need a 30FF if you aren’t getting to 28” stretched.

    • The colour and fit on this bra are beautiful! Its good to hear that you got a firm band. I may have to give cleo another try. My last 28 band from them (Skye) was super stretchy

    • Thanks, all. I got this from Your Bra Store in Canada for $20 Canadian, so it's definitely a win. I love the super rounded look it gives. I'm pretty sure this wouldn't work for even or FOT breasts.

    • It’s weird. It’s listed as still being available on the drop down menu of sizes, but as soon as you select it, it says sold out (in this size). I’m glad that I didn’t get this one now because it would have been too tight. Plus it’s fantastic on you.

    • Thanks, Calluna. Yep, this is tight for a 28 band. Do they have it in a 30FF?

    • No they don’t. But I have found a parrot print Lily in 28G that’s tts that I am figuring out how to get.

    • Ooh, that sounds cute.

    • It is. I have wanted a parrot print Lily forever. I am just worried about it stretching to 28” which is the same as my under bust. I can use an extender, but then worry that it will skew the fit of the 10” deep cups. I am thinking about it seriously if I can come up with some money for it.

My shape: even-to-slightly FOB teardrop with very tall shallow roots, loads of immediate depth but moderate overall projection at the apex, close-set in the middle, side boob for days, center-height and self-supporting, with very firm tissue that does not take kindly to being pushed around by wires and pads. Also starting to suspect that I have a low apex, between the lower projection and upper shallowness and the problems I have with bras that should otherwise work.

This review is for a gently used bra in the navy colorway I received in a swap from r/braswap. It's a beautiful purple-y blue that I like a lot, and it's wonderfully ... thin and sheer and probably perfect for summer. If only it worked!

Ok, so if there was a correct size for me in the Lucy, this is not it, but it's probably close. I'm not sure the style works for me anyway, though, and mostly because I'm starting to wonder whether the bra I appear to be wearing and the bra it feels like I'm wearing are the same one! I did only wear it for about half an hour to get a good read on it, and take photos, but still.

For one, I can't remember the last time I had so much of a problem with the straps moving the top of the cup. They didn't FEEL uncomfortable or chafe-y in my armpits or anything, but they are apparently in just the wrong spot. The top edge buckles as badly as if the cup was 2-3 sizes too big unless my arms are perfectly straight by my sides.

Speaking of mysterious problems that don't feel like problems, let's talk about the gore. It's pretty tall and while it did feel a little firm and... tight against my chest, I guess (maybe a bit of shallowness at the inner cups?), it certainly didn't feel as bad as the red marks it left look. They're not really the welts I usually get from mean gores; they're not bruises from pressure or friction marks from the height, just angry-looking marks that don't feel like anything. Full disclosure: I mark easily. It's a thing. Apparently it has to do with water retention and possibly inflammation like with allergies or hormones or other conditions. However, there is a difference between these hormonal marks and the marks that bad bras give me, which are usually tender and angry-looking. Kind of like these marks, except with more pain. This time, none? So good, I guess. Still weird.

The wires at the sides also left angry red marks under my arms, but again, I felt none of it. Still weird. In the photos you can tell that they are a bit narrow for my Super Side Boob™roots, and maybe a bit short. They do take up the whole channel, though, so there is no room to shift or adjust them in or out. There's also a bit of gapping just behind the wire at the wing under my arm, but this happens a lot on me and doesn't seem to affect wearability.

On to the actual obvious noticeable problems! First, I'd just like to say that I think the immediate depth on these cups might be pretty close to just right, or at least getting there. In all the wiggling I did, the wires never once came out of my IMF. The shame about that is if I did size down a cup or so to solve the wrinkles in the outer cup and upper lace panel, I'd lose even more underwire, AND the upper cup would probably start that faux-quadboob thing and cut in. Right now, the upper edge is comfy (when it stays down), and instead I just have extra space in the sheer panel. Such is the nature of the tall/shallow rooted, though: These upper panels are so closed on top, and they anticipate roots that stop shorter and upper fullness with a more projected angle up here, but that just ain't me. I also think the apex is just about right, or I'm a hair below it; any higher and I'd be right at the seam, which is always scratchy and terrible, so this is nice.

The band is nice and comfy! No itching or scratching, and it seems to fit nicely enough even though it's been loved before. I have tried very few Cleos ever, though, so I don't know what that indicates about stretchiness. My 28G - Freya » Patsy Padded Half Cup Bra (1223) is currently my best band, if that helps.

Gonna try and get this one listed ASAP!

This was kind of an unplanned deal, since I thought it might be too closed off on top, but then I heard it's more open on top than the CK Bardot, which is only a teeny bit too closed for me, so when I found it half off on eBay I snagged it, despite it being pink... again....

Overall, not too bad! I think it's a bit too deep overall - despite thoroughly scooping & swooping & the wires feeling firmly planted in my IMF there are tiny wrinkles at the bottom, apex, and quite a bit of extra space on my smaller boob. It's not as ... bad on my bigger boob. A 28FF would be too closed off I think, or too small. Plus my boobs are pretty sore and full right now, so it might only be good for one week a month haha.

Band is good, wires are good. Shape is Cleo-Apple, which I love. The mesh/lace is wearable, it kind of itches at the gore. I've worn it all day and nothing is digging or making me want to claw it off, yet. I love love love the shape, and am glad I at least tried it so I could experience the much-hyped roundness and lift Cleo unlineds are supposedly known for. I have 2 unlined bras now, my Bardot and this Lucy, and they both give that perky, held up and in and out shape. I doubt I try any other unlined bras simply because my skin much prefers softer material, but this is a solid bra.

You can pinch the lace at the gore and stitch it down a tiny amount to get rid of the gapping.

    • Funny you mention that, I had thought earlier today I could probably do something with that lace!

This bra fits...ok. This is my SECOND attempt at the Lucy now and I think we just aren't meant to be. This bra is not flattering for my shape and it just doesn't feel right. It appears to fit, but it is extremely uncomfortable after a while. I feel like I have to keep "scooping n swooping" and pulling the top of the cups back up to cover the top of my boobs (I have even fullness). I think the Cleo Lucy is just meant for FOB boobs. I don't wanna get rid of it cuz it looks like it fits, at least the 28G fits me MUCH better than the 30E I first tried. Maybe I'll give it ONE more shot and brave a 30F/28FF. Who knows?! Might just work.

This is typically a FoB bra and I think my shape is pretty even but this still works great for me. The lace cuts into my tissue ever so slightly on my larger breast but that barely noticeable and might be because I'm thinking I have tallish roots. Like with every bra I've tried so far, the wires are a little bit wide for me. Otherwise this bra is amazing for me!

A very cute bra! Perhaps about a cup size up would fit me better - the gore floats a bit and I'm a little squished in the center. However, even with that, the top of the cup lays flat and I don't have an issue with quadboob.

I like how dainty this is, despite being a larger cup size. It doesn't come up high on the chest or sides like a Freya design. Very pretty.

The shape is nice and round and separated. It is kind of minimized since there isn't a lot of projection. Ideal for an everyday bra.

Other reviewers weren't kidding about the firm band. The material is very non-stretch, both in the cups and the band. I hope they become softer after a few washes and wears. I felt it fit true to size in the cups. *EDIT: After a year of wear, the band is still very very firm and tight.

Interestingly because of the design, my breasts push the wires in the center gore together so even though they'd be too wide, the just fabric material self-adjusts to my width. I included a picture of this.

I have only had this bra for a few days but I really like it so far! The band is great on my 26 inch rib cage. The cups encase my breasts perfectly and feel supportive despite the bra feeling quite delicate. The shape is wonderfully rounded, which is hard for me to find in unpadded bras in my size range. The gore does dig in a little but it's not unbearable by any means and I think will lessen with wear and wash.

EDIT: I have now had this bra for several months and I find the band a bit tight. I can pull it out a few inches from my back, and it's not unwearable, but combined with the gore not having much padding I do find it uncomfortable after wearing for a full day. If I were to buy this bra again, I would buy a band size up.
