There are a few things I like about this one. When it arrived in the mail it was completely crushed. I've never seen a bra of this nature SO flattened! But within a few minutes it relaxed into shape and the memory cup foam barely showed any creases; then disappeared completely when I put it on. So negative stars for packaging but 5 stars for materials!
Secondly, it has two separate layers on the band that are attached at the top, but not the bottom. The top layer is smooth, stretchy, and serves to help hide the underband which has elastic edges and side boning.
... The cups have the feel of a spacer fabric, but they hide prominent nipples much better. The underwire is quite long, but doesn't cut in on my low-set breasts. The top of the gore is narrow, as well as the inner angle of the underwire. Works very well for my close-set breasts. The height of the gore is higher than I prefer, but it's not uncomfortable. The straps look like twin straps but are actually connected with criss-cross stitching between them. There are two positions for the back straps, providing several combinations. The pictures on Amazon show it may be used halter style, but I haven't tried that yet.

The biggest issue I have is the placement of the front straps. They are set so far to the side of the cups, they dig into my Tail of Spence and with the slightest movement they rotate 180°, flipping all the way around. The metal hooks for the convertible straps irritate my skin even further, and the cups buckle just under the straps. However, there is no gaping along the rest of the cup.
The bra is not designed to be used as a strapless. Athough it would be an easy alteration to move the tabs, if I move the straps closer above the apex, it would result in a funny corner along that top outer edge.

As for appearance, the cups give a bit of a east-west look from the front, but a minimized look from the side profile.

Wide underwires which works for my wide roots. I am still spilling out the sides under my underarms a bit. I didn't quite fill the top of the cup at first bc I am shallow on top, but the moulded cups hid that fact. Now it seems either the memory foam eventually conformed to my shape so I fill it or I am just PMSing. In fact with my PMS it is cutting into my breast tissue on top so I wouldn't recommend for any fot women. It is comfortable to wear. As others have said the band is stretchy and loose. ... I sewed the band in a bit so it fits better. I would prefer smaller band sizes in Chantelle. The cups are only moulded so I find my shape is so-so. I like the wire width but wish they had more padded bras to push my splayed breasts in and my fob, shallow top breasts up. I will say it is comfortable to wear and I do like wearing it as an everyday bra. I have the multi-position straps for this style which is great for wear umder all kinds of tops. I don't know if it is meant to be a strapless but heck for my boat neck tshirt I got, I am definitely wearing this as a strapless! I find the price a bit expensive but honestly, I am just glad it fits! Denise5

Although this convertible bra claims to be a 30D, it fit wildly differently from every other I've tried on in that size. The cups were HUGE. They're very rounded, thinly padded, and unforgiving of any shape that doesn't match. I have soft, deflated, wide-set, short-roots and this was a major mismatch. Usually I easily fill the bottom of any cup, but I had wrinkling in bottom and beyond gapping in the tops. The material actually folded in and crumpled along the top. Only tried on in the store, but documenting here so I can keep track.

The center gore digs in because it comes up too high and wires are too close together. I have about 3 fingers width between my breasts or about 3". The shape of the cups is vertically shorter than past bras, but the top line does not cut in. There is no padding anywhere which is new to me, but no nipple show through. It's a very natural shape and does nothing to augment my shape which is actually a con. I feel small in this bra. The center gore rules this out as a daily bra. In terms of quality there are two snags, one on the strap ... and another on the band. Sizing wise my recommendations in other brands are for 30dd, 30e, 28dd, 28d so wondering if I should be in a 30d instead of a 30c. I'm thinking about exchanging for the larger size and keeping the nude color for a strapless bra because it stays up really well and not having padding in the bottom of the cup is actually an asset in a strapless. Most strapless bras sit way too low. This bra might work for you if you're not as wide set as I am.

    • Sorry this bra did not work out for you! Just a question, if your size recs are 30DD or E, why did you want to try something that was so much smaller?

    • I got the 30c before I registered for Bratabase. A Nordstrom fitter fitted me in the 30c in the Chantelle and Natori. I registered for Bratabase the next day and only found out the size was wrong when Bratabase calculated my Recommendations. I thought this size felt small since I've been fitting myself in 30d and 30dd, but haven't actually found one that I wanted to buy. I've been buying 32c because they're easier to find, but the band always stretches out and the sides sometimes cut in.

    • Oh right! Yes, if 32C cuts in at the side you are probably a 30DD (30D being the same size cup as 32C).
What often happens in your size range is that the person is trying to eliminate gapping at the center, near the gore. So if you're not super projected and/or if you are wide set, this can lead you to size down into too-small cups because the cup design is too open at the center and the cups are more close-set than you need... i.e. you really need more volume but not at the center. You will find it easier to fit yourself if you can locate styles with nice wide gores. I'm not sure if there have been blog or Reddit posts with entire lists that would help, but just by searching by measurements on Bratabase you might be able to find stuff.

    • Thank you Wendy, this was really helpful. It reminded me that I need to stand firm about the bra fitting well everywhere instead of making allowances for poor fit. I really wanted this one to work and even thought about keeping it as a strapless bra but I know that would be bad for my chest in the long run. I noticed there are wide set styles in the help section of this site so that was kind of helpful to flip through those. I have a follow up question: I'm kind of nervous now about buying bras with high gores and I noticed that the wide set bras still had higher gores. Is a high gore ok if it's wider set? I feel like I'm pretty bony in the middle so setting high underwires into the middle makes me cringe. I understand the gore stabilizes the bra but I just can't do it right now, especially with the bruise I still have from this bra.

    • If everything is sized right and the gore sits flat on your torso, for most people it doesn't matter if it is high or not. What makes a gore painful in most cases is when the whole bra is too tight (this can be due to too-small cups, too-tight band or both--in the case of the 30C the cups were way too small, consequently the whole bra would be overly tight on you) or, paradoxically, when it is too large: a loose band can allow friction and angling in of wires (poking, in other words) and overly large cups mean that there is not enough boob "pushing against" the tension of the band. But if you're in a well-fitting bra, those conditions shouldn't apply.

A few people do have trouble with gores even in the right size and wire shape but it isn't very common... the torso is not normally a sensitive area despite being bony (sort of like shoulders and back, which can be quite bony on a leaner person but that doesn't make them sensitive). The most typical problem with tall gores is actually something that affects women who have a lot of center fullness and are so close-set: there is literally no room for 2 wires to sit flat between the breasts, so they can't put on a high gored bra without crushing breast tissue. This anatomical issue is basically unique to people who are the opposite of your shape, so it shouldn't apply to you.

Anyway, tl;dr with wide-set breasts, it is fairly unusual to have gore pain IF you are in the right size. I'd say give it a try and see.

The band on the bra is very stretchy, even on the tightest hook it's not very firm. My underbust is about 31". I get slight quadboob after scoop and swoop, not enough to be very noticable under shirt. This bra is REALLY comfortable and gives a nice round shape. I'd like it in a smaller band and bigger cup.

This bra is simple and has memory foam that is not super thick but enough to hide nipple show through. The straps convert to racerback, one shoulder or strapless wich is a huge plus! The cup cuts into my armpits a little, BUT, most bra's do it seems. Not bad enough to not wear.

I got this bra because it was recommended by my Nordstrom fitter and I was desperate for a convertable bra.

Pros: It is comfortable and smooth. It is perfect under halter style tops because of the straps changeability. Would make a great every day bra. Can be used with most shirt styles.

Cons: There is a tiny bit of wrinkling at the bottom of the cups right above the wire. I guess I'm not filling out the bottom even though I am bottom heavy. I also do not like the way the top encases my breast. I like more of a push up, demi style bra where I can see more of the girls. No extra oomph, but gives a nice shape under shirts. It doesn't go strapless.

This is the only bra I own that I can wear with tank tops. It's not super low cut, but lower than most in these sizes, and doesn't show under clothing. I wear it a lot because of this, and though I wouldn't describe it as a "sexy" bra, it's definitely not unflattering! The pads are enough to keep nipples from showing in the cold, but don't add any size.

It's a soft and comfortable bra, but I think the band feels a little large. It still stays in place, but I wouldn't trust it as a convertible strapless unless I could go down a band size.

Decent fit, though it could probably stand to be a little tighter in the band.
