This is the Satine Jacquard bra in Rose from the Bravissimo 2018 collection. I have been in need of a nude bra to wear with white t-shirts. This bra is absolutely perfect for that purpose and is still attractive. I am extremely pale (hello Canadian winter), but the rose colour functions nicely as a nude on me - it passes the white t-shirt test. I love the silky fabric and the soft sheen - it makes a basic bra a bit more special. I had previously tried a 28FF Satine and found it too shallow at the bottom of the cup. This size, however, is perfect for me. It is an extremely comfortable, everyday bra and looks smooth under clothing. It gives a nice, natural but round shape. The straps are the perfect width and very comfortable. The band is a bit stretchy for a 28, I can already fasten it on the loosest hook. I am hoping that it doesn't stretch too much with wear. Overall, I am really pleased with this bra.

    • Wow this is so pretty on you!

    • Noob Thanks! The bra is surprisingly lovely in person. Online it looks a bit dull

It looks great on you and I really love that pattern.

I agree, it loves awesome! Like a subtle houndstooth print. Very nice!

    • Looks so pretty on you, and the pattern is so delicate and lovely!

    • JulieCS thanks:)

    • The holy grail : a nice plain nude bra. I love this one on you!

This bra looks so good on you!! I'm glad all bras you got from me fit you so well! (except the extra wide strap set on przeplatanki).

It looks great on you. I have one of these coming to me sometime in the next few days, so I hope mine fits just as well!

martka00 thank! They were all surprisingly bra wins. I'm starting the new year off right :)

rachaelll well done to you! It looks like we fit in bras similarly (except I need more 65-70 and you 60-65) which means we can swap bras more often :D

    • 1

It looks beautiful! I'm so glad you're finding some great fitting bras!

    • Looks great! I have been tempted so many times by the Satine! I almost got a 30FF from the listings here but it was a stretched band over 30” so I had put it off. I had fallen in love with the oriental green one a while back. How do you find it feels and fits compared with/to the Freya Deco, of which I know that you have had?

    • martka00 you and I are pretty close. I’m 65F/FF or 70E/F. I’m not sure if I can can do 65G, though the 65G S that she got from you looks like maybe it would fit. I wish I had more stuff I could trade with you.

    • 1

Calluna the Deco did not work for me at all. The Deco padding is too firm and doesn't mould to my shape. It feels like amour to me. And I always got a visible cup line with the Deco under tops. The Satine actually reminds me a little of the Comexim plunges in terms of shape and fit. The gore is obviously lower. But it has the same kind of flexible padding that contours to you. I find that the Satine gives a really smooth look under a t-shirt - which I never got with the Deco. Not sure if this helps

    • Yes it helps a lot! Do you find that the cups are too wide in the Satine at 5.5”?

    • 1

They are a little wide, but not so much that it compromises the fit. Wearing it, it feels like there is space on the side cups, but when I take it off the wire marks follow my natural shape almost perfectly.

    • I have had this too. Feels too wide but marks follow the root.

    • Calluna bras are just so confusing!

    • 1

      Totally. And bodies are weird.

    • Calluna agreed!

  2. This is a great plunge model - and ta-da! it comes in J cup, too. Anyway, the band is pretty much standard Bravissimo size, the cups maybe a bit on the big side. I usually wear H cup in Bravissimo bras but since this is a plunge and in my opinion they tend to be a bit small universally, I went for HH, which fits pretty much perfectly. There's maybe even a little room to spare, but it doesn't show or feel, so with that in mind the H cup would have been small for me. The colour is a pretty cream off-white and the light padding in ... the cups is very soft. Unlike many plunges, like Freya Deco, the Satine does have sturdy supportiveness. The cups are sort of deep in shape, so my boobs don't feel like they're about to pop up and out from the front. On the other hand, Satine does not push the boobs together like Deco does, so there's less cleavage effect - not a bad thing in my size, IMHO. But since Satine is a real plunge (=read: the center is truly low), it'll go marvellously with deep necklines.

My best fitting bra. It is so great, that I deconstructed one and made it into a pattern and have made 3 bras so far from it. The band runs a little large, normally I would be a 32, but had to get a 30 in this style. The cups are foam, 3 seam constructed. The inside feels like cotton lining and the outside is satin. The satin is nice since it allows my tops to slide over them and not get caught up and wrinkled like outer cotton fabric cups. The gore is nice and low and is great for my close set breasts. I also love how simple the style is. I love me a basic.

I love this style! I have 4 of these and they fit wonderfully. They are comfortable and cute and relatively inexpensive! They wear well and are good quality as well! If you fit similar styles as I do, you should give this one a try!

  5. This bra is great for everyday wear - I find it extremely comfortable. It's a little loose in the band and I wear it on the tightest hook, but my underbust is only 26 inches. The shape is smooth and reasonably rounded, but far more natural looking than the Freya Deco, for example. The cups run a little small, which is great for me as I'm between sizes, but you may want to size up if you're not. I've washed it a couple of times now and it hasn't stretched yet - fingers crossed it stays that way! The only small downside is the padding can be a little wrinkled - I tried on two and found this one to be much better than the other. It's a bit annoying if you have to order online, but I wouldn't imagine it causes much of a problem - I don't think you could see it through clothes.

I have this bra in 28F as well and I love them both. This one actually fits me though! The 28F is too small but I'd rather too small than too big personally. This bra is a little uncomfortable in the gore but if I move the wires in their channels I can fix that no problem https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> It's a bra I know I'll get the full use out of, just like the smaller size and I am soo glad I found it in another persons collection!
There is plenty of give in the cups so I could add some cutlets for more vavoom if I wanted! There is no room, for that in the 28F and sometimes I just want a little more, ya know?

I didn't think I would love this bra, but I do. It's the first moulded cup bra I've loved and kept during my bra fitting journey! I was shocked that the construction of the bra allows the boobs to come together in the center without quadding - it feels very Polish to me, lol.

Also, maybe the band is stretchier by nature or due to the previous owners of this bra, but I feel like the wires don't get pulled weirdly when I put this bra on. A win!

    Didn't fit

Normal UK size 34HH, which is what I tried.
Im more close set than this bra, While the cup sort of elastics to my shape, there is an obvious dent in the cup where it changes from following my torso to my root. There's about 3 finger-widths between the outer bottom wire and my tissue. I am Omega-rooted so this is a common fit issue, but the dent impression left by this bras looks really weird. I am definitely more immediate projected, with my tissue not sitting in the bottom of the cup. Without tissue sitting in the outer/bottom cup, it is fighting to come out top/center/front and is ... quad-boobing. This effect is not helped by the weird mesh frill added along the top of the cup seam, making that area more bulky for not reason The bra would have looked just as good or better without it. (Also looking at you weird badly sewn on button on the gore and bows on the straps.)
The gore surprisingly tracks well and isn't painful, which is rare for a non-Polish bra with how close-set I am.

Quality wise, it seems ok. I would say it's definitely more in a daily wear category than anything luxe, despite the satin finish. Many of the materials seem basic and hopefully durable.

    32GG

    Hasn't set fit

Unfortunately with the Satine bra it suffers from the age old problem of the cups becoming wider and taller, and the same with the gore and wires as the cup size increases. The band also becomes deeper. As a result, whilst this bra used to be the best available fit for me in a smaller cup size, now that my breasts have grown larger it seems that I have sized out of it.

Major fit issues for me are the way way too tall gore. Others comment on it being a "true" plunge and being decently low, but unfortunately for me with my high and close set short rooted ... bust, a gore over 2 inches is just pain. There is no space in between my boobs for the wires to sit so they dig into the bottom of my breasts and this pushes the bra out of my IMF. Ideally for a bra to fit me well, the gore should be not much more than an inch in depth so that the wires do not try to come up between my breasts. At 2.5" this gore is nearly the full height of my breasts so is closer to a balconette in this size. The last truly comfortable gore fit for me was the 32FF.

The cups also don't work well as plunges due to how high up the cups come - so they show underneath any neckline which is below the collar bone. Again likely more to do with my high set breasts, but again, the 32FF hid well. If I could just have more projection on the 32FF frame.... But no. Instead its just too high and too wide cups. I was used to bras not correctly following my breast roots at the side after getting past a DD cup, but the 32GG really takes it to another level. I don't understand why the wires have to be under my arms, I don't have any boobs there - they're on the front of my chest! In addition to this, the cups now are so wide that they dig into my arms in a very uncomfortable way and after wearing I have to scrape off deodorant because they sit right up in my armpit.

Then the band issues - too tall! I don't need 3 hooks, I don't have the torso length for that. It just causes pain over my shoulder blades as my torso is too short and my breasts too high set to wear the band below my shoulder blades like you see on all the photos of the models.

Worst thing is that I've now gained even more bust volume so need to size up a few cups. I have no idea how I'm going to manage now (and unfortunately my attempts with Ewa and Comexim showed they were either comparable to the Satine, or worse in the places I have issues with).

    Didn't fit

This is my old bra from before I gained weight, I bought two of them and ended up removing one of the wires due to pain on my ribs directly below the cups. This was a huge mistake as the cups didn’t keep their shape and the pain on my ribs wasn’t actually caused by the wire but the seam of the cradle. It probably won’t be an issue for most people but I’m very sensitive.
